iexzxx
Continuation from: The following cards are part of another sub-archetype of this Deck, called "Strelitzia". While they are "Key" cards, they could be used as a Plant-Type support, and is a good way to get to level 10 Synchros (like Baronne de Fleur). They do have a lot of garnets (cards that alone won't do anything), but there a couple of ways to transforms this dead cards into a combo. "Strelitzia" cards are in general Life Points dependant, requiring to pay some to perform their main combos; A deck like Aromaseraphys, Plant-Type monsters that deal with Life Points advantage, could find some synergy with this. Also lookout for a little lore in the artwork, titles and even effects if you love that stuff, I'll try to put them in order based on their story. But let's begin with the Main Starter or this strategy: KEY WIELDER STRELITZIA ATTRIBUTE: Light LEVEL: 3 [Plant/Tuner/Effect] You can summon only 1 "Key Wielder Strelitzia" per turn (1) This card cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects, nor can it be tributed. (2) You can pay 700 Life Points; Add to your hand a Spell card mentioning "Key Wielder Strelitzia" in its card text, and if you do, immediately after this effect resolves, activate that Spell card. (3) This card can't be used for a Synchro summon, except for the Synchro summoning of Plant-Type monster. 1300 ATK/700 DEF And what a starter this is. Destruction and tribute immunity, gives her immediately some sort of protection against your opponent and Synchro restriction is not a problem, even outside of our own Synchro, there are a couple of interesting targets. The Spell searching is not once per turn, so as long as you have Life points, you can keep searching, but you do HAVE to activate the Spell immediately, so keep that in mind. Also you can summon only 1 copy of this card per turn! In creating some other cards, I noticed if that restriction wasn't there, any "Key" monsters could create any Link 4 monster in the game thanks to "Strelitzia", so that's why this restriction is here. WISHING FOR COURAGE Normal Spell card (This card can only be activated by the effect of "Key Wielder Strelitzia".) You can activate only 1 "Wishing for Courage" per turn. (1) Pay 300 Life Points; Increase the Level of a monster you control by 1. Very straightforward and very much needed for some of our plays, as well as interesting for some rogue plays. It is a dead card in our hands, so you probably would wanna play few copies of this. FLOWER SNOWFALL Continuous Spell card (This card can only be activated by the effect of "Key Wielder Strelitzia".) You can control only 1 "Flower Snowfall". (1) Once per turn, while you control a "Strelitzia" monster: You can target a monster that is currently banished and gain Life Points equal to the DEF of that banished monster. A good way to recover your major resource without spending any other. There a bunch of good ways to have banished monsters, and there are even more to come; you can even use your opponent's banished monsters! Either way, you would want to play only 1 copy of this card. KEY LEADERS, THE DANDELIONS ATTRIBUTE: Light LINK ARROWS: ↖⬆ [Warrior/Link/Effect] 2 "Key" monsters You can activate only 1 effect of "Key Leaders, The Dandelions" per turn, and only once that turn. (1) When this card is Link Summoned: You can Special summon a Level 3 Plant-Type monster from your hand or Graveyard. (2) You can pay 300 LP; Place from your hand to the bottom of the Deck a Spell card mentioning "Strelitzia" in its card text, then draw 1 card. ATK 1700/ LINK - 2 A way to shuffle those useless cards away, as well as a way to Special summon "Strelitzia" from our hand (or a Plant-type, whichever suits you). Just a problem solver all around. KEY INHERITANCE Normal Spell card (1) Tribute a "Key" Link monster; For the rest of the turn after this card resolves, your opponent cannot Chain effects to the activation of your Spell cards. (2) If the tributed monster was a Warrior-Type monster, you gain 2000 Life Points. Some more nice protection, especially since we have a lot of Spell cards we could use, even outside of our own Archetype (Emergency Teleport and Reinforcement of the Army). If you tributed "The Dandelions" you get some help in your "Strelitzia" plays! But let's move on from this side story. WILTED FLOWER Normal Spell card You can activate each effect of "Wilted Flower" once per turn. (1) Special summon a WIND Fairy-Type monster from your Deck with its effects negated, then, immediately after this effect resolves, you can Synchro summon "Key Chosen One Strelitzia" from your Extra Deck by banishing monsters from your Field. (2) During the End Phase of the turn you activated this card, if you did not Synchro summon "Key Chosen One Strelitzia" this turn: Your LP become 100. (3) You can banish this card from your Graveyard, except the turn it was sent there: Special summon a "Key Wielder" monster that is currently banished to your Field. Not searcheable by "Key Wielder Strelitzia", that'd be maybe a bit too strong, but you will need to control a Level 4 "Strelitzia" if you want to resolve this card correctly. You can just summon ANY Wind Fairy-Type and then do some other plays, but beware of your Life Points. Graveyard effect is extremely good since it doesn't negate the monster's effects, so it's a great follow-up play. KEY CHOSEN ONE STRELITZIA ATTRIBUTE: Light LEVEL: 7 [Plant/Synchro/Tuner/Effect] 1 "Key" Tuner + 1 "Key" non-Tuner Monster (1) Cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, nor can it be tributed. (2) Once per turn, you can pay 700 Life Points: Add to your hand a Spell card mentioning "Strelitzia" in its card text. (3) An Xyz monster that was summoned using this card as Xyz material gains this effect: •When it is Xyz Summoned: Shuffle all cards in the GYs, that are currently banished, on the opponent's Field and in your hand back into the owner's Decks, then inflict 50 points of damage to your opponent for each card shuffled. ATK 2000/DEF 2000 The big payoff to this strategy. "Key Chosen One Strelitzia" gives you access to Level 10 Synchros, as a material for our Xyz it gives them an absurd effect, and she can search for any card mentioning "Strelitzia". For reference: shuffling 120 cards inflicts 6000 points of damage, not that it's likely to shuffle that many, but cool to know. She can still be negated and targeted by cards so keep that in mind. DEARLY SEARCHED Normal Spell card You can activate only 1 "Dearly Searched" per turn. (1) You must control "Key Chosen One Strelitzia" to activate this card. (2) Special summon a DARK Plant-Type monster from your Deck, but for the rest of the turn you cannot Special summon monsters, except "Key" monsters. A good target for our new Synchro monster and a new "Dearly" Spell card, but otherwise a dead card in our hands. You could summon a "Predaplant" monster, but you are locked into "Key" monsters for the rest of the turn, so what's our target? ⬇ LAURIAM AND ERLENA, TRAITORS OF THE ORGANIZATION ATTRIBUTE: Dark LEVEL: 7 [Plant/Effect] (This card is always treated as a "Key" monster) (1) If you control a "Strelitzia" monster OR if you control no monsters: You can Special summon this card from your hand. You can Special summon this card only once per turn this way. (2) An Xyz monster that was summoned using this card as Xyz material gains this effect: •When it is Xyz Summoned: Increase the ATK of all monsters you control by 700 until the end of your opponent's turn. (3) You can control only 1 "Lauriam and Erlena, Traitors of the Organization". ATK 2000/DEF 2000 A level 7 that special summons itself if you control no monsters can be played in any Deck, and if used as Xyz materials for ANY Xyz monster it gives a 700 Atk boost to your monsters! It can also be Special summoned if you control a "Strelitzia" monster which is nice and can be used as one of our materials, but will probably use it for Link summoning instead. A very flexible and strong card all around. SISTER'S SUPPORT Normal Spell card You can activate each effect of "Sister's Support" once per turn. (1) While you control "Key Chosen One Strelitzia" and a DARK Plant-Type monster: Banish 1 card from your hand; Change the Level of all "Key" monsters you control to 7. You cannot summon monsters the turn you activate this effect, except "Key" and Plant-Type monsters. (2) You can banish this card from your Graveyard, except the turn it was sent there; Add a "Key" Spell card from your Deck to your hand. A second good target for our Synchro monster, although "Key Chosen One Strelitzia" cannot search more than one Spell card per turn, so you would want to have a Dark Plant-Type already on the field, not too complicated; the card does restrict you in "Key" and Plant-type, so no Baronne de Fleur! Graveyard effect is also really nice to search some of our strongest Spells (Do be careful on which ones are "Key" cards though). These next are just generic "Key" support, but they are pretty interesting. KEY WARRIORS OF SCALA ATTRIBUTE: Light LINK ARROWS: ⬇ [Spellcaster/Link/Effect] 1 "Key" monster You can use each effect of "Key Warriors of Scala" only once per turn. (1) If this card is Link Summoned: Special a Level 3 "Key" monster from your Deck, but its effects are negated and you cannot Special summon monsters for the rest of the turn, except "Key" monsters. (2) When one of your "Key" monster is targeted by an opponent's card effect, you can tribute this card (Quick Effect): Negate the effect and destroy that opponent's card. (3) You can control only 1 "Key Warriors of Scala". 700 ATK/LINK - 1 A very good card to immediately get to our Link 2 "Key" monster, and even searching "Strelitzia" from our Deck through ANY "Key" monster. It has even a nice 2nd effect. LUXORD, PLAYER OF THE ORGANIZATION ATTRIBUTE: Earth LEVEL: 3 [Psychic/Effect] You can activate each effect of "Luxord, Player of the Organization" once per turn. (1) You can discard this card from your hand to your Graveyard; Reveal a card in your hand, and if you do, add a "Key" card from your Deck to your hand, then shuffle the revealed card into the Deck. (2) During your opponent's Standby Phase: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; for the rest of the turn, both players must keep their hands revealed. 1000 ATK/1000 DEF Another nice card to shuffle dead or unneeded card from our hands, and letting us search any good starter in our Deck, but you do go in card disadvantage. His graveyard effect is an interesting one, creating a mind game with the opponent could be good and could be bad, it all depends... But with the next card that could change: XIGBAR, MANIPULATOR OF THE ORGANIZATION ATTRIBUTE: Dark LEVEL: 3 [Zombie/Effect] You can activate the (3) effect of "Xigbar, Manipulator of the Organization" only once per Duel. (1) If this card is added from your Deck to your hand by a card effect: You can Special summon this card. (2) Cannot be used for a Link summon, except the Link summon of a "Key" monster. (3) During either player's turn, you can banish this card from your Graveyard, except the turn it was sent there; Choose a card in your opponent's hand and banish it face-down until the End Phase, then your opponent draws 1 card. So you can discard "Luxord", grab this and Special summon it, giving you access to "Warriors of Scala", which then gives you access to "Key Wielder Strelitzia" thanks to "The Dandelions" as well, then you can do whatever you want since you still have a Normal Summon available! Its graveyard effect has the opportunity to win games on its own: Decks that rely on 1 specific card to do everything will have their wings clapped for a turn. Annoying handtraps that could ruin your plays? Gone for that turn. Of course the opponent could draw a copy of that same card... But that's fate I guess.
