iexzxx Posted February 24, 2022 Report Share Posted February 24, 2022 First time posting here! I am a huge Kingdom Hearts fan and have designed some KH cards in the past but they weren't that great. This time their effects are more based on their personalities and roles in the series. Also they are probably a bit busted, but whatever. (The Artworks are NOT mine) Either way, the "Key" monsters are focused on 2 Rank 7 monsters and giving them the best effects through the right materials. Also they all have the number 3, 7 and 13 somewhere in their cards and it links them together with some other random cards funnily enough. KEY CHOSEN ONE SORA ATTRIBUTE: Light LINK ARROWS: ↙⬇↘ [Fairy/Link/Effect] 2+ "Key" Monsters You can use the (2) effect of "Key Chosen One Sora" only once per turn. (1) When this card is Link summoned: You can Special Summon from the Graveyard one of its materials to your zone this card points to. (2) When you control 2 monsters in zones this cards points to: Special Summon a monster with 700 ATK and 1300 DEF from your hand or Deck. (3) You can control only 1 "Key Chosen One Sora". 2000 ATK/ LINK - 3 Sora is very important since it's search and summons the main enablers for the theme; he also provides 2 of the 3 materials needed for our Xyz summons, but he doesn't lock you into only using "Key" Xyz monsters! COMPANION OF THE KEY NAMINÉ ATTRIBUTE: Dark LEVEL: 3 [Psychic/Effect] You can use the (2) effect of "Companion of the Key Naminé" only once per turn. (1) When this card is Special summoned: You can Special Summon a "Lingering Key Token" (Warrior-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 700/DEF 1300) (Cannot be used for a summoning, except for the summoning of a "Key" monster). (2) You can target 3 "Key" monsters you control: the Levels of all Monsters on the field become their combined current Levels, until the end of this turn. (3) You can control only 1 "Companion of the Key Naminé". 700 ATK/ 1300 DEF Probably the most important card in the archetype. Naminé, if summoned by "Sora" 's effect, Special summons a Level 1 "Key" Token, she can then target herself, the token and another "Key" monster to make the level of ALL monsters on the field 7. She can also open up Rank 9 Xyz. Remember that tokens can't be used for Xyz summoning though! KEY WIELDER XION ATTRIBUTE: Earth LEVEL: 3 [Machine/Effect] You can activate the (3) effect of "Key Wielder Xion" only once per turn. (1) Cannot be Normal summoned or Set. (2) You can Special summon this card while you control a monster with 1300 ATK or 700 DEF. (3) While you control another "Key" Monster: You can change the Level of all monsters on the field to 7, until the end of the turn, but you cannot summon monsters from the Extra Deck the turn you activate this effect, except Xyz and Link monsters. (4) You can control only 1 "Key Wielder Xion". 700 ATK/1300 DEF Xion is a bit more reliable in the fact that you don't need a token to enable your Rank 7 Xyz, but she can't get you to Rank 9 and she does lock you into Xyz and Link (and we do have a pretty strong Synchro monster coming in the future). The next cards focus on putting some bodies on board to actually do something. You can only control each of them one at a time so you have to rely on multiple of them, instead of spamming just one. They also have very strong effects when used as Xyz Materials rendering our Xyz bosses pretty annoying to deal with. KEY WIELDER TERRA ATTRIBUTE: Earth LEVEL: 3 [Warrior/Effect] (1) When this card is Normal summoned: You can Special Summon a monster with 700 ATK or 700 DEF from your hand or Graveyard. (2) A "Key" Xyz Monster that was summoned using this card as Xyz Material gains this effect: •This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each. (3) You can control only 1 "Key Wielder Terra". 1300 ATK/700 DEF One of our main combo starter, he triggers the effect of our others combo pieces by Special summoning them even from the Grave. If used as Xyz material, it makes our "Key" Xyz a Bujintei Susanowo: Pretty scary with a lot of potential. KEY WIELDER AXEL ATTRIBUTE: Fire LEVEL: 3 [Warrior/Effect] (1) When this card is Normal or Special summoned: Target a card on the field and destroy it. (2) When this card is sent to the Graveyard by a card effect: You can add a "Key" monster from your Deck to your hand. (3) A "Key" Xyz Monster that was summoned using this card as Xyz Material gains this effect: •Unaffected by the opponent's Spells and Traps. (4) You can control only 1 "Key Wielder Axel". 1300 ATK/700 DEF Axel is very flexible, he can destroy a card on the field by just being summoned, and can even destroy itself to search a "Key" monster. If used as Xyz material it gives protection against Spells and Traps which is pretty strong of an effect. KEY WIELDER VENTUS ATTRIBUTE: Wind LEVEL: 3 [Fairy/Effect] (1) If a monster is Special summoned to your field, you can Special Summon this card from your hand, then send a "Key Wielder" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. (2) A "Key" Xyz Monster that was summoned using this card as Xyz Material gains this effect: •All effects that require to detach an Xyz Material from this card are Quick Effects. (3) You can control only 1 "Key Wielder Ventus". 1300 ATK/700 DEF Ventus is pretty incredible: he can Special summon itself through ANY Special summon on your field, and then can dump a "Key Wielder" to the Grave waiting to be Special summoned by "Terra", and it's not even once per turn! And if used as Xyz material, it gives Quick Effect status to any effect requiring an Xyz Material to be detached, and our Xyz will very gladly take that. Pretty unique effect! KEY WIELDER ROXAS ATTRIBUTE: Light LEVEL: 3 [Warrior/Effect] (1) If a "Key" monster is tributed or sent to the Graveyard by a card effect: You can Special Summon this card, then you can draw 1 card and place a card from your hand to the bottom of the Deck. (2) A "Key" Xyz Monster that was summoned using this card as Xyz Material gains this effect: •Unaffected by the opponent's monsters effects. (3) You can control only 1 "Key Wielder Roxas". 1300 ATK/700 DEF So if "Axel" pops itself, Roxas comes swinging in, letting you draw and return a card in your hand. Of course this effect triggers even if your opponent is responsible for sending a "Key" monster to the Grave. And as Xyz material it gives monster effect immunity, making "Roxas" and "Axel" an inseparable duo for an invincible Xyz. KEY WIELDER KAIRI ATTRIBUTE: Light LEVEL: 3 [Fairy/Effect] (1) If you control a "Key Wielder" monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. (2) If this card is sent to the GY for a Link Summon of a "Key" Monster: Your opponent cannot target Link monsters you control with card effects for the rest of the turn. (3) A "Key" Xyz Monster that was summoned using this card as Xyz Material gains this effect: •When it is Xyz summoned: Look at the top 3 cards of your Deck, pick one to add to your hand, one to send to the GY and one to place at the bottom of the Deck. (4) You can summon only 1 "Key Wielder Kairi" per turn. 1300 ATK/700 DEF Kairi is probably the strongest card in this archetype. She can pretty easily summon herself, she gives protection to all Link monsters for our turn if used for summoning Sora. Sora that can Special summon her back, to make her an Xyz material and basically giving us a Pot of Prosperity. At least you can summon only 1 copy of this card per turn. KEY MASTER AQUA ATTRIBUTE: Water RANK: 7 [Spellcaster/Xyz/Effect] 3 Level 7 Monsters (1) Each time this card destroys a card on the field it gains 200 ATK. (2) Once per turn, you can detach a material from this card, then target a "Key" monster in your GY and a card your opponent controls: Return the first target to the hand, then destroy the second target. (3) You can control only 1 "Key Master Aqua". 1700 ATK/2300 DEF Aqua is our first boss monster, and while 1700 ATK might be a weakness, she can quickly become a threat thanks to "Terra" and "Ventus": Ventus lets her destroy cards during the opponent turn as well, giving her extra ATK points, and Terra makes her OTK worthy, continuously growing. KEY MASTER RIKU ATTRIBUTE: Dark RANK: 7 [Warrior/Xyz/Effect] 3 Level 7 Monsters (1) If one of your opponent's card effects target a "Key" monster you control, you can change the target to this card instead. (2) Once per turn, you can detach a material from this card: Negate the activated effects of one of your opponent's monsters. (3) You can control only 1 "Key Master Riku". 3000 ATK/700 DEF Riku is our second boss monster and he can be a complete wall to get over. If "Axel" and "Roxas" are used as materials, Riku becomes a lightning rod for your opponent's effects while getting no damage whatsoever: This means that while "Aqua" is busy getting an incredible amount of ATK, Riku can protect her from card effects.
