EmCee411
Twinborrel Dragon is basically what the archetype has been begging for since day 1. It's a cheaper way to get the Borrel/Rokket combo set up, but can only be used twice before basically becoming a vanilla. Also not once per turn, so you could target two cards in the same turn. The floating effect allows for a follow-up play, or if it doesn't die it can be used to Link into a Link 4 Borrel. Primerrokket Dragon is a Rokket Dragon, but as a Link monster. Originally it was just gonna search a Borrel spell/trap when summoned, but I found that boring, so I made this instead. Currently the only good target is Regenerator for the extra body, which brings me to the next two cards. Borrel Munitions is by far the most important of all of these cards, and possibly even out of all the cards that currently exist for this archetype. This card is specifically designed to either split D-Link off from Pure Rokkets, or essentially turn D-Link into Pure Rokkets. The first effect is crazy good in both Pure Rokkets and D-Link, and it's searchable with Primer. But if you use it, it locks you into only DARK Special Summons, meaning no Halq, no Rom, no Carrier, etc. Even if you pop it with Tracer, that still locks you into only DARK summons from the ED. The second effect is a solution to a problem I had with other custom Rokket cards, which tended to just be a Pot of Avarice in a deck that wants its monsters in the GY for cards like Boot Sector Launch. With this, it both recycles Rokkets and maintains the GY. It's designed to cater far more to Pure Rokkets than D-Link, so if D-Link uses it, they're more inclined to play into the actual Rokket playstyle, and if they don't, well mission accomplished, that's a really good Rokket card that Rokkets get all to themselves. Being able to recycle Rokket Dragons is big for deck building too, as it means you don't have to play as many copies of Rokket Dragons; you can get away with one of each, leaving room for hand traps, extenders, etc. Thunder Borrel Cannon was essentially a way to make the Borrel/Rokket playstyle more rewarding by giving you an extra disruption outside of your one Rokket target per turn. It can also be used to recover Munitions or Regenerator, but not in the same turn. This is another card that either forces D-Link to not play it or play at least some Rokket Dragon targets, both of which are a win in my book. Please feel free to correct me or point out anything I've missed, I'm happy to tweak these cards to get them just right. And, frankly, I just love talking about Rokkets. DifferentDimensionVanessa
I've got a Rokket deck. Against a competitive player, just emptying out your Deck of all the Rokkets in it isn't something that would occur because you'd probably be killed off before it gets to that point or just reach another Boss monster first. However, in a lot of my past Duels, running out of bullets in the Deck was a real concern. I once lost a game because I had a Quick Revolve I could have used to win, but I had no targets in the Deck left! So Borrel Munition has a neat effect but isn't quite at the speed or level of aid a competitive addition that my Rokket Deck could use despite its mill effect. Maybe add an effect where if it it would be destroyed, you can add 1 Rokket from one of Deck/GY to hand. The Link Monster is viable without any further additions. Thunder Borrel Cannon is viable without any further additions. If Borrelsword gets a Spell based in some way off of its attack, Borreload is also getting a good one like this.
