Gusto Support

Gusto was a difficult archetype to balance. Its main resource is both the hand and the GY and having too many effects that allow abuse of these zones can prove to be troublesome. Despite this the deck lacks consistency and power so my decision was to go with the draw discard method combined with a little bit of Excavating. I hope the results are good! They are as follows:


Ampilica, Heritage of Gusto 4* WIND
Psychic/Effect
1500/1000
When this card is normal or special summoned you can add 1 "Gusto" monster from you deck to your hand, then discard 1 "Gusto" card from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Ampilica, Heritage of Gusto" once per turn. If you control no tuner monsters you can treat this card as a tuner for the synchro summon of a "Gusto" monster. 

Kamui, Last Hope of Gusto 5* WIND
Psychic/Effect

2100/1500
If you control a WIND monster you can special summon this card from your hand but you can only Special Summon WIND monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn. You can only Special Summon "Kamui, Last Hope of Gusto" once per turn this way. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; send 1 "Gusto" monster from your Deck to the GY, reduce that opponents monsters ATK by the ATK of the sent monster.

Gusto Sparro 1* WIND
Winged Beast/Tuner/Effect
500/200
If this card is in your GY you can shuffle 1 WIND monster from your GY into the deck and special summon this card but banish it when it leaves the field. Once per turn you can increase this cards level by or up to the number of cards in your hand but you can only special summon WIND monsters for the rest of this turn with this card. You can only use each effect of "Gusto Sparro" once per turn.


La Winda, The Cleansing of Gusto 5* WIND
Psychic/Synchro/Effect
ATK 2200/DEF 800
1 "Gusto" Tuner monster + 1 WIND non-tuner monster

"Gusto" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by Card Effects. (Quick Effect): When your opponent activates a card or effect on the field or in the GY you can shuffle 2 WIND monsters from your GY into the deck and return that card to your opponents hand; until the end of this turn the activated effects of cards with the returned cards name cannot resolve and your opponent cannot summon monsters or activate cards with the same name as the name of the returned card. You can only use this effect of "La Winda, The Cleansing of Gusto" once per turn.

Akamui, The Zephyr of Gusto 10* WIND
Psychic/Synchro/Effect
1 WIND Tuner + 2 or more "Gusto" monsters
ATK 2900/ DEF 2500
When this card is synchro summoned you can excavate the top 5 cards of your deck; Add 1 "Gusto" Spell/Trap card from among the excavated cards to your hand and send the remaining "Gusto" cards to the GY, then return the remaining cards to the bottom of your deck in any order. (Quick Effect): You can shuffle 2 WIND monster from your hand and or GY into the deck, return 1 card your opponent controls or in their GY to their hand. You can only use this effect of "Akamui The Zephyr of Gusto" twice per turn. If this card is destroyed by your opponents card, you can special summon up to 3 WIND monsters from your GY or banished zone, but their effects are negated. You can only control 1 "Akamui, The Zephyr of Gusto". 

Gustalia, Lost Land of the Gusto
Spell/Field

WIND monsters you control gain 300 ATK. Once per turn when a "Gusto" monster is Synchro summoned you can choose 1:
- Draw 1 card and discard 1 card.
- Send 1 Gusto Spell/Trap card from your deck to the GY

If this card is in your GY, you can banish this card add 1 "Gusto" card from your GY to your hand. You can only use one effect of "Gustalia, Lost Land of the Gusto" per turn.
