Yu-Gi-Oh, age Limits

Recommended Posts

I see threads about how old you should be, to stop playing yugioh. I dont think that is the real issue.

If you want to play, play. If not, don't.

I do think that Upperdeck is being quite pathetic nowadays.

Notice on the booster packs, that the cards are recommended for ages 6+!?

6 year olds are not recommended to play the game, because they cannot remember the rules and specifications on how to play. I think that it should be changed from encouraging 6 year olds to play a game like Yu-Gi-Oh.

Please Discuss and whatnot.

If needed, or if there is already a thread of such purpose, feel free to lock this, Crab.

Well. Maybe they want more people to play the game so they're targeting 6 year-olds.

Indeed, from the anime, 6 years old people will think it's cool, so if they just put 6+ on the pack, they think it's ok (and their parents too) and UDE makes more money.

um get over it =3

but at my hobby turny a couble months ago, i saw a mom useing a monarch deck round 2 of the turnoment vs her son using a e-hero fusion/heart of the under dog deck. needless to say, she crushed her own son. i luled the whole time =3

anyways. i say if u want to play ygo, play. if u dont, dont. ive seen 35 year olds at the turnies, that have a wife and kid, so its not like it pethetice. they just like playing a game like ppl like watching/ playing football only different.

i will continue to play ygo till, i get bored with it or i feel i out grown it, but till then im happy being a 18 year old who plays a childrens card game.

The 4kids ultra-sensored version of the anime kind of biased people and made them think that the card game was for little kids too. In my opinion, to play the game right, you should have good reading, reading comprehension, and math skills, which 6 year olds are still developing.

Anyone younger then 6 would probally eat the cards. And hey Kids can be very smart at a young age :P

I actually started teaching my little brother how to play the game at 3 LOL. back then he sucked, now he is 6 and isn't half bad and now runs Dark World with some tech. He has Owned a couple people at our local (not many) 2 of which were good players with DAD deck, couldn't get what needed pure luck.)

It annoys me when people say "don't you think that your a little old to be playing yugioh?"

Yugioh is alot like pokémon and many other games, your not to old for them until they stop entertaining you.

I'll probably never grow out of them, their to much fun (especially yugioh and pokémon)

I really hate that too. Anyway, I think the main problem with UDE is that they increase the rarity of most cards, so that when people buy backs expecting the cards they would've gotten from the Japanese packs, they get really horrible cards and some that UDE made themselves.
