Skill Drain Deck

Recommended Posts

The deck seems to work pretty fast, I just need some tweaks here and there to make sure the deck is worth using. Anything in Bold I'm still trying to get for the deck.

Monsters(20):

Alien Shocktrooper

Gladiator Beast Andal

Gene-Warped Warwolf x3

A Cat of Ill Omen x2

Chainsaw Insect x3

Exiled Force

Fusilier Dragon, The Dual Mode Beast x3

Goblin Attack Force x2

Majestic Mech - Ohka x2

Majestic Mech - Goryu x2

Spells(11):

Big Bang Shot x2

Heavy Storm

Lightening Vortex x2

Magical Mallet

Mausoleum Of The Emperor

Monster Reborn

Monster Reincarnation

Mystical Space Typhoon

Scapegoat

Traps(9):

Magic Jammer

Sakuretsu Armor x2

Skill Drain x3

The Transmigration Prophecy

Trap Jammer x2

Accepted Suggestions:

-1 A Cat Of Ill Omen

-1 Vanilla(Gemini Elf)

+1 Exiled Force

+1 Fusilier Dragon, The Dual Mode Beast

Suggestions In Question:

+1 Majestic Mech - Ohka

+1 Cyber Dragon

+1 Destiny Hero - Dasher

-1 Alien Shocktrooper

-1 Gladiator Beast Andal

+2 Goblin Elite Attack Force

Again, I'm trying to make it as fast a possible, in WC07 I tested it, and I have My opponent dead within a few turns.(I had a second Reincarnation instead of Reborn.) All suggestions would be appreciated. in WC07, it won by Turn 7 against a Macro Monarch.

All right, You've got Me there.. So... make it 2 cats than? If so, what should it be replaced with?

Eww no' date=' your running Vanillas in a Skill Drain? Wheres Jirai, Lei Lei, Giant Orc, Mist Archfiend, and Behemoth?

[/quote']

All in My box of commons/back of binder, save for Mist Archfiend, which I don't even own. Really now, I thought the use of vanillas was a good idea should I not have a skill drain out, or have else worth summoning.

-2 Goblin Attack Force

-1 A Cat of Ill Omen

+1 Exiled Force

+1 Dasher

+1 Cyber Dragon

The vanillas are good but only if you have

Non-Spellcasting Area

Heart of the Underdog

Okay... I see what You mean with Cat' date=' Exiled, and Cydra, but What makes the Goblins bad and How does Dasher help me?

EDIT: This Deck is bad because there are only 2 Majestic Mech - Ohka in it.

Please elaborate.

Remix:

Alright, You've got Me there.

For The Dark One:

Maybe becasue there's always the chance that Skill Drain could be destroyed via a Spell or Trap?

Ohka dies the second You have a turn with no Skill Drain, though Fusilier still retains its 2800 ATK, okay... I'll fix it so there's no Elf but a third Fusilier. Still a bit unwilling to use three of Ohka.

I suggested that just in case that your opponent has summoned Jinzo

with Dasher you can summon Fusilier with 2800 ATK

Cyber Dragon is to summon Goryu faster

Jinzo cannot negate a Skill Drain if Skill Drain has already been played before Jinzo's summon.

Summon Fusilier and set Skill Drain, end turn. Opponent attacks, activate Skill Drain, opponent=F'd over. I'm still not seeing the point of Dasher.

Why tribute a Cyber Dragon when I can simply pay 2000 with Mausoleum to summon Goryu?

Ew' date=' Skill Drain with negative effects - the worst kind of Skill Drain.

[/quote']

Seems to work pretty well for Me, though if You have a better decklist than what I've got here(which I'm sure You do), I'll gladly check into it.

It's not just the decklist, it's the entire theme. Skill Drain decks shouldn't revolve around abusing monsters with negative effects; they should revolve around using Effect Monsters whose effects are not negated by Skill Drain.

I've got a Draining Oppression Bushi deck lying around somewhere.
