ClemsContent
Designed some cards based on my 10 favourite Iron Maiden songs. Mainly based around bringing out useful Token monsters. Name: Ed Force - The Trooper Attribute: EARTH Level: 4 Type: Warrior Effect: If this card is destroyed by battle: The monster that destroyed it is also destroyed. If a monster controlled by your opponent is destroyed by battle with this card, or by this card's effect: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the ATK of the destroyed monster. Once per turn, if a monster you control is destroyed by battle: You can Special Summon this card from your hand in face-up attack position. If this card attacks: Your opponent cannot activate face-down cards until the end of the Battle Step. ATK/DEF: 1800/1500 Name: Ed Force - Run to the Hills Trap - Normal Effect: If you control 3 or more "Ed Force" monsters: Return exactly the same number of monsters on your opponent's field to their hand. You can activate the effect of this card by banishing it from your GY. Name: Ed Force - Flight of Icarus Spell - Quick-Play Effect: Pay 3400 LP; Special Summon 1 "Ed Force - Icarus Token" (Spellcaster/WIND/Level 10/ATK 3400/DEF 1200). It cannot be targeted by card effects. It is destroyed during the End Phase. You can only activate "Ed Force - Flight of Icarus" once per turn. You cannot negate or reduce the number of LP paid when this card is activated. Name: Ed Force - 2 Minutes to Midnight Trap - Continuous Effect: The activation and effect of this card cannot be negated. During the End Phase of the 2nd turn after this card this card is activated: Both players must either return all cards (not including tokens) on their field to their hand or take 1000 damage for every card they control. You can only activate "Ed Force - 2 Minutes to Midnight" once per turn. Name: Ed Force - The Number of the Beast Spell - Quick Play Effect: Tribute 5 monsters from your field; Special Summon 1 "Ed Force - Twisted Beast Token" (Fiend/DARK/Level 10/ATK 3600/DEF 2400). It cannot be targeted by card effects. Once per turn, during your turn, if this card is in your GY: Pay 500 LP; Target 1 monster your opponent controls and take control of it. During the End Phase: Destroy the targeted monster; Inflict damage to your opponent equal to its original ATK. Name: Ed Force - Aces High Spell - Quick Play Effect: You can Pay 1000 LP or tribute 1 "Ed Force - Triplane Token" you control, and if you do, the activation of this card cannot be negated. Special Summon 1 "Ed Force - Spitfire Token" (Machine/WIND/Level 7/ATK 2700/DEF 2100). It cannot attack directly. It can make up to 5 attacks each Battle Phase. During the End Phase, if this card is in your GY: Pay 500 LP; You can add it to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Ed Force - Aces High" per turn. Name: Ed Force - Rime of the Ancient Mariner Trap - Continuous Effect: Activate only when a Token monster you control is destroyed by battle, or by the effect of a monster card on your opponent's field. The activation of this card cannot be negated. During the Standby Phase: Both players roll 1 six-sided die. If you roll an equal or higher number than your opponent: Destroy all monsters they control (not including Token monsters). If you roll a lower number than your opponent: Destroy all monsters you control (not including Token monsters); Target 1 monster they control and take control of it until the End Phase. Name: Ed Force - Hallowed Be Thy Name Trap - Normal Effect: Activate only when an "Ed Force" monster you control is targeted for battle. You can either negate the attack or inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of the monster targeted for battle. During the End Phase: Destroy the attacking monster. Name: Ed Force - ...To the Slaughter Spell - Quick Play Effect: Tribute 1 monster on the field; Send 1 "Ed Force" card which names an "Ed Force" Token monster in its card text from your deck to the GY, and if you do, Special Summon 1 of that Token monster. Destroy the Special Summoned Token monster at the end of the turn. Name: Ed Force - Children of the Damned Spell - Quick Play Effect: Activate only if you control no monsters (not including Token monsters). You can Special Summon up to 5 "Ed Force - Children Tokens" (Spellcaster/LIGHT/ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-up Defense Position. The DEF of these tokens becomes equal to the number of "Ed Force - Children Tokens" you control x500. If 1 or more Token(s) summoned by this card effect are destroyed by battle, or by the effect of a card controlled by your opponent: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent for each "Ed Force - Children Token" you control. During your End Phase: You can banish this card in your GY; Add 1 "Ed Force" card from your deck to your hand.
Booloomer
Cool cards! Editing in replies below. - Ed Force - The Trooper: No comment; just a good card! - Ed Force - Run to the Hills: Good card, pretty powerful but could be negated; it's relatively fair. I like the idea of activating it twice. - Ed Force - Flight of Icarus: Uh...not sure how I feel about this one. This is WAY too powerful; despite taking damage equal to it's ATK at the end of your turn, this card has no Archetype-Specific abilities, meaning you can use other cards to negate this damage and very quickly bring this card back to play it again. Needs punishing costs that also adapt to go through. - Ed Force - 2 Minutes to Midnight: I like this card, but I don't like the effect not including tokens. *Points at Icarus* - Ed Force - The Number of The Beast: I feel like there should be a bit more cost for the second effect, but it's fine otherwise! - Ed Force - Aces High: Slightly above average power, but the real problem is the lack of cost for many powerful effects here. The Spitfire Token is ridiculously powerful, especially always being able to add it to your hand from the Graveyard. Also, I think this is probably a Normal Spell, since it has multiple effects, but only take that from me with a grain of salt. - Ed Force - Rime of the Ancient Mariner: I guess it's not too powerful...? Kind of an odd effect, but I suppose it's balanced. - Ed Force - Hallowed Be Thy Name: Just a decent trap in general. Good job! - Ed Force - ...To The Slaughter: Good card, I really like this one! Also, would this be a Normal Spell, since it stays on the field until the end of your turn? Not sure myself, really. - Ed Force - Children of the Damned: I like this card! Seems very dangerous to your opponent! Really good cards! I liked the thought-out balancing on some of them.
DifferentDimensionVanessa
I agree that Flight of Icarus is too much. It can even be used in Burn Decks for gimmicks. The damage you take should actually be a decrease to your LP. Tokens that are used as Material for a Special Summon are destroyed, right? If not, this should have a restriction that prevents it from being used as Material. Having one monster surrounded by these wonderful Spells & Traps makes me think of Magical Musketeer. The Deck never took off but themed around one character and a series of magic bullets.
