Horu
Epic Showdown Trap Card The activation and effect cannot be negated. Neither player can activate card effects in response to this card's activation or effect. Both players return all cards (except this card) to their respective Decks and shuffle them. Both players then draw cards until they each hold 6 cards in their hand and Special Summon any monsters they draw (ignoring Summoming conditions) in face-up Attack Position until they each have 5 monsters face-up on the field. Both players' LP are set to 8000. The player that fails to inflict 8000 Battle Damage at the end of this turn loses the Duel.
Booloomer
What if neither player inflicts 8000 damage? It is possible that neither player could inflict 8000 damage in a single turn. Cool card, though!
Pommelo
Umm... do you realize that you can activate this Trap during your opponent's End Phase? Since it says, "The player that fails to inflict 8000 Battle Damage at the end of this turn", when there is basically no chance for the opponent to attack you to inflict the 8k and the chances of summoning something that cause enough effect damage that can be activated in the End Phase is astronomic³³³³³ (if you wanted to include effect dmg into the effect in a faint attempt to make it fairer). Basically this is an almost unavoidable 1-card-killer and requires complete rework, I'm afraid. Leaving aside the killer part, I suggest that you avoid making cards that can be activated without any conditions and that change the game state in such a brutal way, those aren't healthy for the game. On top of that, it's a card that cannot be negated, omg xD.
Booloomer
Yeah, this card is pretty insane gameplay-wise.
Horu
I think something like this would be insta-banned regardless of how balanced it is. 1) It completely resets the game 2) It forces an OTK or lose 3) even if activated during the Battle Phase, what are the odds your opponent is gonna be able to SS 5 monsters that can effectively deal 8000 damage when you're trying to accomplish that same goal? 4) Piggy-backing on 3, the card is effectively designed to set the turn player up for failure. 5) It negates Exodia since it requires you to summon every monster you pull until you have a complete board.
