While face-up on the field, this card is also WIND, WATER, FIRE, and EARTH-Attribute. When this card is Fusion Summoned: Shuffle all banished cards into the Deck, then, this card gains 300 ATK and DEF for each card returned to the Deck by this effect. You can only use the following effects of "Elemental HERO Electrum Neo" once per turn. * If your opponent activates an a effect of a monster that has the same Attribute as a Monster you control (Quick Effect): Negate that cards effect and destroy it. * If this card is destroyed by an opponents card: Special Summon 1 Level 8 or lower "Elemental HERO" Fusion monster from your Extra Deck ignoring its summoning conditions, and if you do, destroy all monsters your opponent controls with the same Attribute as the summoned card. DifferentDimensionVanessa Posted December 24, 2021 Report Share Posted December 24, 2021 Even as a child who knew nothing about the competitive game, I knew something was wrong with the original Electrum when I saw the card on the internet. Its design in art and effect was not the ultimate Hero monster, but later Aster Phoenix came into the show and eventually did find the ultimate Hero, with a horrifying effect for its time. Anyway, the type of thing I wanted changed about Electrum back then was supportive Spells/Traps from Jaden/Judai that actually paired well with Electrum's effect. Elemental Burst and Elemental Absorber are not, and I guess, were not used in even children's Decks back then. When I saw that Electrum was every Attribute, I thought of the rest of Jaden's cards - Feather Shot, Burst Return, Spark Blaster, etc. etc....and thought...what if Electrum could use all of these, or if it could use any newer sets of "Elemental" Spells/Traps? I tried to think about what kind of Spell/Trap would be useful with Electrum. I thought about that for several days. Even when I wasn't following Yugioh, I still thought about this "problem"...but I still can't figure it out. What kind of Spell/Trap would make the original Electrum strong? That's the kind of design I wished I'd see in a "New Electrum" instead. I know this sounds like a mild ramble, but it's hard to let go of a conceptual issue you've had in your head for years, even if you'd never possibly think of it later.
