Regarding Dust Tornado

Can somebody explain this card to me? I can only use it if I am destroying a quick play? I dont understand.

You can use it while destroying a Quick-Play, but the quick play's effect will still activate.

The card lets you destroy any Spell or Trap your opponent as on their field, but you should only use it on continuous, field, or equip cards.

You could also use it on a card that hasn't been flipped face-up if you're worried that it might be Mirror Force / Torrential Tribute / something similar.

Exactly what he said. Activating Dust Tornado against a Quick Play Spell Card will do you no good.

same thing goes for a regular trap. and remember you can set a spell/trap card from your hand after using the effect.

It doesn't negate. Only destroys. eg.

 

You attack

Crab uses Mirror force.

You chain Dust Tornado.

Mirror force gets destroyed.

All of your face up ATK position monsters die.
