Hope all is doing well. I got a PM a few days ago from SB telling me that he had to unfortunately drop out of CMA. I been busy working on a couple of things, but hopefully I get to see a new workshop idea start soon. Possibly in a month.

Is God Kaze still waiting for his banner?

 

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make the Academy process run alot more quicker?

I had a few that go against the original plan but these kinds of things were unforeseen when planning, and will think it will bring more activity into the CMA itself. One is that we split up into groups or classes. Sort of like a Red, Yellow, Blue team. It will may motivate, and bring a more of a challenge but know that this is not to split the CMA, and that general conversation, and comments are still allowed.

 

If you have any other ideas then post em up.

- Welcome to our newest member Dojinn

 

-Next one is that next week I will may be inactive for a week. Possibly a month. It's indefinate but when I will return, something amazing will happen. Not really but you you will see what I mean in a month. =)

Well since its a group of ppl all submitting their effects, everyone would want theirs to be picked. So, I recommend we change the format too:

1) A chosen member submit pic(s) he/she wants to be a real card.

2) After a pic is chosen, everyone except the chosen one submits and effect.

3) The chosen one is the one who picks the effects he/shes like the best and is edited by everyone(including the chosen).

I don't think we have enough people to divide them into groups. If we do, I so want a division named after me, KAZE GREEN! XD

How about one of us starts a thread where the he/she interviews a different member of YCM each week, puts them in the spotlight. It might convince some of them to join. We'd ask questions like: "Why did you come to YCM and what made you stay?", "Have you won any contests?", "What are you planning next?", etc. All the questions would be asked on an instant messenger, saved, and posted on the thread. I also can't stress enough how anyone should be aloud to post on the thread (as long as its now spam). We want to reach out to ppl and make them feel welcome to the Academy.

What about we not go with the traditional colors of team. You can leader a Green team. I would evenly group the Academy into classes. There are a few people who want to join that I have yet got back to for one reason or another so you may get enough. Also the group leader also can have the power to let others join their class.

 

If you decide that way, then the process in which you make the cards is decided upon by the leader.

 

The only thing is that there would have to be leaders, and I don't know if there are any others that can fill that position yet.

 

I might even abolish the Exam entry. It's just to busy to keep going through the process of that, and I lose track of who is doing it, who has received it and still waiting for. Who has completed, and is waiting for results, and all the replies, and questions that go with it.

 

Also I think this thread, and the Review thread should be the only threads of ours opened up to anyone.

I wasn't serious about them teams. If we had a few more quality members, than it would be a posibility. But when there are only 5-6 of us contributing, it seems king of pointless.

The solution isn't to destroy the exam, just soften it up a bit. Hand it over to me, I'll tweak it and take over having members join while you're gone.

Other than the Colosseum, right?

Yup, advertisement is the key! I'm currently advertisign CMA in my Card Archive but our problem is that CMA only branches out to:

Realistic Cards

Shops / Requests

Card Contest (Soon)

 

We need to be present in the "Card Trade", "Fan Fic", "Your Deck" "Yugioh TCG" and maybe "General"

 

So we need(and ppl to run them):

-To open up a card trade shop. (We should recruit Chaosserver)

-1 member that is REALLY good at writing to make a fanfic. (Maybe TotalObelisk)

-1 Member who can help with deck contruction and/or TCG advice. (Recruit Sartorius)

-The "Member Interview" thread I mentioned earlier.

 

I did this but it's not finished. Tell me what you think so far.

That's awesome!!! It's going to be super special awesome when finished(Even now its just so perfect)!
