Okay. I've decided it best to let God Kaze once again represent the CMA, and open the new idea of Card Making Gladiators. Sound weird. Well ask questions here for more insight. Maybe you have an idea or help with ideas. Anyways it won't be too soon so hopefully I see some feedback.

 

Also Sushi told me of another idea, and that was to do with Card Awards. Ask here for details on that also. Feedback would be appreciated.

 

 

Also the issue of members not contributing as much as others. Talk about your feelings here. Should there be a measure of a persons activity? Do we kick those that we feel don't belong out or don't desrve to be in the CMA??

I wanted to mention that if I keep awarding points as prizes, I'm going to enventually run out. Should we have a registration fee for those wanting to become Gladiators?

 

I do want to hear details on "Card Awards".

 

We shouldn't kick members out unless for a good reason. Right now keeping unactive members makes us look more popular than we actually are, lol.

No maybe 5 points for entering, and 10 or more for the winner depend on the number of wins etc. I will back it myself. Isn't that hard to make points.

Yeh I don't want to kick people out unless it was major. I think if you see someone on a lot that is a member but never ss them posting in our threads then maybe a PM invite for a card review or input may do it. Just about helping so if you want the help but feel your not being heard by some, then PM them, and see if anythings wrong.

Why thy talking about me, XD. The only reason I suggested kicking is because it's like only six of us that do anything. Which is Soul, Me, GK, Tehodis, Flyingdagger8 and Elsandero. And it's just kinda silly they don't contribute.

 

As for awards it just kinda came to me because of some orange award things I saw from contests. Such as "Most Realistic" and things like that.

Should a rep be aworded to "Defending Champion"? This would hopefully increase the quality of the cards created.

Hey everyone, as soon as Soul gives the word I'll be making the new Colosseum. How does this sounds for the main page:

 

Welcome to the Card Maker Colosseum where anyone can compete for fame and prizes. It is here that your work will be fully recognized as you compete against other members in an on going contest. Once you sign up, you will be given 5 points and the title of “Gladiator”. Here are the rules and proceedings in detail:

 

1) Competing

Once you’ve signed up, you will be added to the list of Gladiators and given 3 “Gladial Points”. Gladial Points determined your skill level. Think of them as Star Chips from the animated series. I will tell you more on them later. After we have at least 2 Gladiators, the games can begin. I will call out 2 Gladiators and they will have 2-3 days to create a card. Sometimes the cards that need to be created will have certain requirements or restrictions. Once your card is made, DO NOT POST IT ON THIS THREAD, send me a private message with a link or attachment to it and I will post both cards on 1 post. The members of the Card Makers Academy will decide on a winner.

 

2) Prizes

When a Gladiator wins a match, he/she gains a Gladial Points (GP) but can loose a point instead if he/she loses. There is a guaranteed point prize to the winner. The number of points you win is determined by the amount of GP your opponent had when you defeated him. Winning against a Gladiator with a GP of 7 will ensure a greater prize than one with a GP of 2. Also, if you defeat the “Defending Champion” a rep will be awarded to you by myself. Finally, there may be “special prizes” for winning certain challenges.

 

3) Ranking

Like a previously said, there will be Gladial Points to determine your level of skill and how many points you’re be worth. The Gladiator to win the first the fist challenge will be the Defending Champion and other Gladiators will have a chance to steal this title from him. When a new Defending Champion arises, he/she will be given a rep commemorating their achievement.

Also, I need someon like Sushi or Tehodis to make a banner to advertise the Colosseum using pics of the Gladial Beasts. Anyone have any ideas what it should look like?

Snowyash does help. Not everyone contributes as much as the rest. They probably don't get that much time on. Even when they do they may have other things to do or only get to do some things?

 

I don't like the idea of Reps, only maybe if they win alot of times.

Also I just don't like the Rep awarding idea. A new champion shows success but a defending champion who has defended a lot of times is more worthy in my eyes. Maybe they were just lucky. But a true champion wins again, and again.

Actually I think it should be the other way around, I think a Gladiator should be able to challenge the Champion(or both ways, lol). Ok, so what if a rep(s) is given to the champion if he constantly wins repeatedly?

That way we can get a turn, and be a part of it. i was just thinking along the lines of Gladiator the movie, with that bitter rivalry between maximus, and the bad guy. lol

We can't just say "pick any member of CMA" as there are very few activate members. So, I'll have a list for them to choose from, who wants to be an Emperor?
