If a Beast monster this card points to leaves the battlefield; this card gains ATK equal to half that monster's ATK and cannot be destroyed by card effects until the end of this turn. The idea is it stops your opponent's Dark Ruler No More/Droplet/Super Poly from trading with your Joyous Melffys. Also just incidentally turning off other spells can be pretty powerful.
