Huntar!
Ok. I have been out of the game for about 4 months you see, and I have nearly no clue what is good in this meta. I am heading back to my locals next week, and I want to get a good deck ready to use. So, I ask you, what is the best in the meta. I like to use variations of the best deck. I will add a few cards to match it to my style. So? Please Help.Best help gets a Rep. :D
Azmania2260
It's not easy to say..... Monarchs are very high standard tournament levels, so it's a wasteage to use them. For locals, use Crystal Beasts with Hamon in the deck, Volcanic Burn Meta, and Dark World Revival is good too. Mix Dark World with Draon Lords stucture deck for awesome results. Also, keep Reflect Bounder in any deck, as well as Marshmallon. So, try: Crystal Beasts (Plus Hamon)Volcanic BurnDark World + Rise of The Dragon Lords Structure Deck MixSky Scourge Chaos

Azmania2260
Lol, Elsadero. For locals they ain't bad. Although, they are a little lame. But still, I'd reckon they'd be good for Locals.
Huntar!
Thanks. I was trying to make up something new here. So: I tried Crystal Beasts +Hammon, they dont really work. I just play them normal. They work quite well when used with a handfull of monarchs. ;) I used to use Dark World + cards from the structure deck, and it ended up in me Decking out from drawing too much and got no where with the cards. I dislike the style you have to play with to use Volcanic Burn. = No. IDK. What about monarchs? And whatnot? I could build that, It is what I always use. ^_^
Azmania2260
Volcanic Burn works for me. But oh well. I guess you need the right cards. Yes, Crystal Beasts with Monarchs is commendable.
iAmNateXero
Try playing Machine, they have to be really inexpensive now.

Huntar!
So, I should make macro monarchs? Isn't that a bit overused, since the structure deck? Anyway, I will think about it. ^_^

Huntar!
Ok. I'll figure it out. I think I'll make Macro Monarchs and have Crystal Beasts as my alternative. ^_^

NeoPaladin2008
If you do have a little bit of cash tucked up somewhere, Lightsworn are very good. If you decide to run them, I'll help you if you want.(you need 2-3 judgment dragon though, and 3 guardian of order)
Tekken Ham
Lollercoaster, no one has mentioned DaD. And with Monarchs there are Apprentice and Macro Monarchs. The Macro engine has proved more reliable and cheaper, backrow removal kills it, Apprentice is more high end. It's faster, albeit more expensive. And to the first recommended decks, I think Azmania posted it. No, just no. Marshmallon is a little splashable, but Reflect Bounder is not. All the decks you recommended wouldn't get you anywhere in locals, except for maybe Sky Scourge, if you focus on Noreleas it works, but the execution needs to be perfect, my school psychiatrist proved that in locals. One mistake=lose.
Skuldur
i would just use the best deck you have, don't buy lots of cards for your locals that's just my opinion

Cyber Altair
Lightsworns pwn DAD. thought DAD is more expensive since it revolves about certain rare cards rather then a whole type of set like Lightsworns. Lightsworns really need JD but they can manage without him if they have the big dragon that has his ATK increased by 300 for every LS in the Graveyard.
