If your opponent controls more monsters than you do: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand). If this is the only monster you control: This card can be counted as 2 materials for a Fiend Xyz monster. If this card is used for the Xyz Summon of "Time Eater, Devourer of the Cosmos", apply the following effect:
● You can add 1 "Rank-Up-Magic Time Distortion Force" from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Imperfect Time Eater" once per turn.

2 Level 8 monsters.
When this card is Xyz Summoned: Target 1 monster in either GY; Attach it to this card as material. During the Standby Phase, You can pay 800 LP: Target 1 monster in either GY; Attach it to this card as material. This card's  original ATK and DEF becomes equal to amount of materials attached to this card x800. Once per turn (Quick Effect): If this card would leave the field: You can detach 1 material from this card instead. You can only use this effect of "Time Eater, Devourer of the Cosmos" once per turn.

This card's gains original ATK and DEF becomes equal to the amount of materials attached to this card x800. During the Standby Phase: You can pay 1000 LP; Target 1 monster in either GY; Attach it to this card as material. Once per turn, You can activate 1 of the following effects:
● If this card would be destroyed: You can detach 1 Xyz material from this card instead.
● When your opponent activates a card or effect (Quick Effect): Detach 2 Xyz materials from this card: Negate the activation, and if you do, banish that card.
You can only use this effect of "Perfect Time Eater, Devourer of the Universe" once per turn.

Target 1 "Time Eater, Devourer of the Cosmos" you control; Special Summon 1 "Perfect Time Eater, Devourer of the Universe" from your Extra Deck using the targeted monster (Transfer its materials to that card). This is treated as an Xyz Summon. Immediately after this effect resolves; Attach this card to that monster as Xyz material. You can only activate 1 "Rank-Up-Magic Time Distortion Force" per turn.

A couple questions.

You could summon the Xyz using just this card but how does detachment work if you detach it once is it in the GY and capable of being revived. Does it still count as 2 material while on the XYZ monster?

Oh, good question that i didnt even think about. Its meant to be a Photon Caesar type effect where it can count as mulitiple material for the Xyz.

I must confess, 80% of the reason I'm here is because of Detective Doggo. I saw the pfp and thought: "man, this Blue Arcana is a person of culture". Having said that, regarding Loleo's question

When you say "revived" you mean attached directly from GY to the Xyz Monster via the effect of either Xyz in this set, right? A bit misleading because reviving is often used for Special Summoning from GY, but np xD. Anywho, as I understand this, Blue wants the effect to work BOTH as dual count for the Summoning as well as double value for detaching effects. If (and only if) this is the case, then we have a little problem, I think. Wording rn says:

If this is the only monster you control: This card can be treated as 2 materials for a Fiend-type Xyz monster

It will work perfectly fine as two monsters for a Xyz Summon, and the Xyz Summon only if it's alone in your monster zones. Double detaching value/double value for increased ATK/DEF? Imo, no. Let's start by the fact that this shouldn't be an effect that activates, and it is right now, because it uses a colon. It should be a continuous effect with a condition, and another problem is that once it is not "the only monster you control" and it becomes a material, double value for detaching effect can't apply because you don't control materials. I think it requires a more specific wording, and there are many possibilities, depending on the needs.

If this is the only monster you control, you can treat it as two materials for the Xyz Summon of a Fiend Xyz Monster. While attached to a Fiend Xyz Monster, this card can be treated as 2 materials when activating their card effect.    (lil ' note    -Type is not used anymore)

This can be further tweaked if you wanted that the double value while attached effect only applied if for starters the monster was alone in the field, then you summoned etc., but this is clearly not the case if you're implementing effects that directly attach from GY... that's my bet, at least xD. This leaves us with a final problem, which is the fact that this wording is excluding double value to apply the continuous +800 ATK/DEF per attached material effect. Honestly, I'm at a loss on how to go with this using official PSCT. The anime version Blue mentions of Photon Caesar DOES specify Xyz Summon, btw, so it wouldn't count as 2 for any detaching or whatever effect. Actually, I'm not finding any official TGC/OCG mob with the effect (doesn't mean they don't exist, just saying all I find is anime stuff, and that doesn't count). Having said all this, I have a solution, but again, it doesn't has precedent.

If this is the only monster you control, you can treat it as two materials for the Xyz Summon of a Fiend Xyz Monster. While attached to a Fiend Xyz Monster, you can count this card as 2 materials.

Count. As simple as that. I detach two materials, Imperfect, one, same Imperfect, two. How much ATK/DEF?  Imperfect, one, same Imperfect two. 1600. Lol, so much explanation for this

Another little thing to note, now regarding both Xyz Bois, is that monsters with ?/? do not gain ATK/DEF. Their ATK/DEF becomes

The original ATK/DEF of this card becomes 800 x the number of materials attached to it. (lil note    - Xyz Materials was used previously, but now Konami simply says materials, lowercase m, even. Still use Xyz Monster, tho)

Finally, regarding the overall quality of the set, I like it. Nothing seems too OP, though Perfect is quite powerful and relatively easy to bring to the field. It has too many effects and is difficult to get rid of, but it requires many tools to reach its fullest potential, and there's the balance. I'd say, good job overall.

I initially did mean revived but reattached is also of concern.

I thoughts so to and my head imploded thinking about that

That's the conclusion I came to it would still be treated as only one material after the summon

Oh yeah well even without those clauses this is tough cases

Again same conclusion, but I wanted to hear his original thoughts first.

I actually didn't know that.

I agree!

This begs one more question though of can you detach it twice? If so does it go to the GY the first or second time?

I don't think it detaches twice. It's more like having double value, or rather can have double value (hence why I used can count this card as 2 materials). That way, if the card says "detach 2 materials", then you just detach the guy that "count as double" a single time.

Oh so if it says detach 1 material and you detach him that is the one time he works.

Okay Im back, and wow didnt think Imperfect was that powerful. I intenteded him to "Count" as 2 materials, just didn't know I needed that wording. Same with the continuous gaining stats. Thank you for your ciritcism (and yes, I'm a man of refined taste and culture).

This is a nice collection. I like the idea of using a spell as an XYZ Material; really cleans up the clutter.

Rank-Ups have had that effect before, but thanks regardless
