Omniscient Justice

LIGHT - Level 8 - Fairy/Synchro/Effect - 2800 ATK/2000 DEF

1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters
Cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. Once per turn: You can declare 1 card name; while you control this card, cards with that name have their effects negated. Face-up cards on the field when you activate this effect are unaffected by this effect. You can only control 1 face-up "Omniscient Justice".

Pretty much as advertised. It negates rather than saying the card cannot be used, ideally because its a generic and "cannot be used" went from 3 words to a entire paragraphs worth of text via the OCG errata. Gave it target protection since ideally this is more of a go first synchro and I feel like making it so the opponent has to use some kind of board clear to kill this would be fitting. So what's crazy about this thing its pretty normal compared to most of what I make.

It snowballs

Once per turn =/= Once while on the field. Your goal with this guy is to keep them on the field as long as possible locking out key cards that either gets your opponent's plays going or locks out cards that would kill this. DPR doesn't really have negates other than 1 that's column based, but this is Spell Speed 1 negation via hard reads. This I feel is fair game, hope to see what you guys think.

DPR is Duelist Port Royal, it was a custom format being developed on YCM but we moved to Discord. I post here every so often for the lols.

As for how it works, it negates the effects of cards you declare until it leaves the field. You can have it negate Ash, Lightning Storm, Evenly Matched, or a searcher if you know your opponent's Deck, a boss monster, or just literally anything else it's up to you. It's not meant to be complicated it's just a different kind of card than what we typically see in the game. It's a negate that isn't reactive, but proactive filled with all kinds of choices in terms of what kind of choices you can be making. A lot cooler than most opt negates imo.

As for the bit where face-up cards already on the field being unaffected, Prohibition also works like that so idk why it's confusing you.
