Tekken Ham
1. I know my side deck fails, I'm getting more, I know someone with kinetics I'll try and get some. 2. Why the hell does everyone here prefer DFissure. DFissure does not stop Six Samurai, both Macro and DFissure screw GB's, and DFissure allows DMoC to grab sheet. Why must emphasize this? And @ Goldshine, I've been running CyDras.
Mr. Judgment Dragon
D Fissure shuts down Grandmaster as its effect resolves in the Graveyard. Caius deals with Shien and other ones with shielding ability. D Fissure may not stop Six Samurai by itself but it helps shut them down.
Tekken Ham
Lol what Sams are you playing. The game should go like this: Zanji>Grandmaster>Shien>Shien game. Of course both DFissure and Macro stop Grandmaster, but by the time Shien hits the field I'm dealing with a full on swarm and losing. L2Samkthxbai. And everything you mentioned that DFissure can do, Macro can also do.
Mr. Judgment Dragon
The opponent has to draw them first. Macro is just slower because its a Continuous Trap although it has more removal power. Ive encountered that Six Samurai strategy and its not fun unless you have a Lightning Vortex to use. All the Six Samurai decks I face are very powerful with a few minor differences in the cards they have in the deck. Theyre all able to use the strategy you mentioned. Tekken Ham
All the Six Sams I play swarm for game. With the exception of 1 kid, all of them swarm fast and hit hard. Sams have immense draw power in Reckless and SSU. And everyone hates Macro because it's "slower" yet somehow it doesn't seem that way when I use it in their Stand-By phase. That's barely a difference.
Mr. Judgment Dragon
My Macro is quite fast despite lack of draw power. Mines also quite good at swarming. Its not possible to always be able to swarm for game. All the ones I play are able to win in a matter of a few turns. Ive used Six Samurai before and where I play, I probably use them the best and thats saying something as I dont own a Six Samurai deck. Cunning OTK is one of my favourite Six Samurai strategies. Tekken Ham
That pertains to the current argument, how? Also, Monarchs themselves are inherently slow, without draw power you can't be fast. And all Macro decks can swarm, we have RFGs and Survivor. The main question for all Macro Monarchs is, how fast? and how long? You need to get the Monarchs out fast and end the game. Last week I couldn't swarm with the amount of removal, rather, the games were drawn out and I just kept the lead with Monarchs. Valleys got me the cards i needed and the resources got them on the field.
Mr. Judgment Dragon
Im still trialing my deck and I am open for suggestions to help perfect it. The Monarchs I run are: 3x Caius1x Raiza2x Thestalos (had 3)2x Mobius (quite good in my opinion)1x Zaborg (testing) I run Cyber Dragon in 2s. 3 Survivors and 3 Scout Planes. My chances of drawing a Monarch are quite high as 9 of the monsters I run are Monarchs and Marshmallon and Spirit Reaper help keep tributes on the field. Reaper can also help eliminate my opponents hand. I run 3 D-Fissures, 1 Macro. Those are some of the cards I use in my Macro deck. Its not just about speed. Does Reinforcement of the Army count as drawing power by any chance? I use as many of them as possible as well.
Tekken Ham
I am waiting on a Thessy in the mail. Mobius belongs in his Sideboard cave. Zaborg phails when compared to Caius. You have 4 RFG cards. How the hell do you even win? Spirit Reaper is unnecessary with Thessy, and RoTA is semi'd so you can only have 2. And your saying it's not all about speed in the age of OTKs. And I'll finish my post after school.
Mr. Judgment Dragon
Zaborg is out. Thestalos is in. Thats the only reason I need. Reaper helps. Solemn also counteracts OTK and protects my D-Fissures and Macro from destruction. I use 2 Reinforcement of the Army's. I know the ban list. I could fit a second Macro. If it helps it goes in, if not then Ill keep it at 1. As I said before Im still trialing the deck.
JesusofChaos™
d fissure is superior to macro because 1) with jinzo at 3 and decree at 2 then it has more chance of being negated 2) D fissure can be played on the same turn it is drawn
Mr. Judgment Dragon
Thats why I like it more than Macro. Whats gonna cancel it. Spell Canceller? Who in their right mind would use Spell Canceller?
Tekken Ham
There's probably only one deck that would even run 3 Jinzo, the whole Jinzo OTK. Even then, Macro would stop returners. Solemn stops Jinzos, and Decree can be MST'd or avoided by DFissure. 1 turn is barely a difference in speed. And for Macro1. Stops DMoC from getting stuffs back.2. Stops DDT3. Stops whatever is left of Magical Explosion
