ClemsContent
Had an idea for a card that would force players to have their monsters have a stand-off to deal damage. The card makes piercing damage the default during the turn it's activated, allowing for greater battle damage. It reduces effect damage to 0, and is very difficult to negate/destroy. Only drawback is, the effect only lasts one turn, and it can only be activated if both players control monsters with equip cards. So you'll have to keep finding a way to equip stuff to your opponent's monsters. Name - Pistols at Dawn Spell | Spell Type - Quick Play Effect(s) - Activate only while both players control monster(s) equipped with equip spell card(s). You can activate this card from your hand during your opponent's turn. This card activation cannot be negated. This card cannot be targeted by the effects of cards on the field. Neither player takes effect damage this turn. Only monster(s) equipped with equip spell card(s) can attack. Only monster(s) equipped with equip spell card(s) can be designated as attack targets. All monsters inflict piercing damage until the end of the turn. During the End Phase, while you control monster(s) equipped with equip spell card(s): You can return this card in your GY to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Pistols at Dawn" once per turn. EDIT: Updating effect
Dokutah
its kinda weird that the quick-play has targeting protection. any scenario you can elaborate? activate only while both player control monster(s) equipped with equip card(s). this card activation cannot be negated. neither player take effect damage for the rest of this turn also monster(s) either player cannot attack or target a monster for attack other than monster equipped with equip card(s). also then all monster can inflict piercing battle damage until the end of this turn. During the End Phase, while you control monster(s) equipped with equipped card: you can return this card to your hand i kinda get the idea for it be wild west honor standoff. and you can equip your own equip spell to opponent's monster provided your equips is generic. but admittedly its niche IMO. not the hardest niche to be fair as i mention before you can setup even opponent card yourself but after all the effort unless you got opponent monster to have debuff on their stat as low as possible you ultimately only deal not that big of a damage while restricting yourself more than before
ClemsContent
I was thinking it could be a card to make the Battle Phase a bit more relevant, by removing effect damage, but adding on piercing damage for both players. It probably works best if activated during your opponent's turn, making them have to battle with you if they want to inflict any damage.
Loleo
The only issue is getting your opponent equipped but you can just equip your cads onto there cards. "You can activate this card from your hand during your opponent's turn. This card activation cannot be negated. This card cannot be targeted by the effects of cards on the field." This whole section seems unnecessary.

This whole section seems unnecessary. I see what you mean. I think I was just trying to avoid a situation where it could be negated right away, which would be underwhelming lol. Although I guess it has an effect to return itself to the hand from GY during the End Phase, so it would get another chance either way.
