Dead or Alive: FTK

Recommended Posts

With the ban of DF, is FTK totally dead now?

Metagame states it is.

The only one I can think of that FTKs even if you start (that means that it requires no attack) is Exodia, and that's a 5-card combo from which they are all limited.

Allure of Darkness is also Semi'd, so that speeds Exodia down as well.

Is this too fatal, and will FTK be too unreliable to be taken serious from now on?

Discuss.

Gigaplant FTK is still alive' date=' but it's not great.

Oh yeah, forgot about that one.

But nah, it's not great.

It's > than Exodia anyways.

The lol of Gigaplant is that you can build your deck so that if you notice you won't FTK, you can also just do beatdowning, and if you fail to win that way, you will get to OTK sooner or later.

technically yes' date=' because if you start second, that's YOUR first turn...

But it's not THE first turn, therefore it is not an FTK. To be an FTK, it needs to be possible on the very first turn of the duel; otherwise, every OTK in existence could be classified as an FTK.
