Exiro
With the ban of DF, is FTK totally dead now? Metagame states it is. The only one I can think of that FTKs even if you start (that means that it requires no attack) is Exodia, and that's a 5-card combo from which they are all limited. Allure of Darkness is also Semi'd, so that speeds Exodia down as well. Is this too fatal, and will FTK be too unreliable to be taken serious from now on? Discuss. Exiro
Gigaplant FTK is still alive' date=' but it's not great.[/quote'] Oh yeah, forgot about that one. But nah, it's not great. It's > than Exodia anyways. The lol of Gigaplant is that you can build your deck so that if you notice you won't FTK, you can also just do beatdowning, and if you fail to win that way, you will get to OTK sooner or later. RedSceptile
FTK will never be fully dead. Specific FTks will be made useless, but with release of new cards old/new ones will arise.

Abstract [Atrocity]
Don't forget the Saturn FTK lol wut? The closest we can get to a good FTK is magical explosion; which is an otk, and can be countered

CrabHelmet
and volcanic counter FTK?? Why yes, I WILL take Battle Damage without a Battle Phase. It's a pro move.
Orochi
still can be a FTK... if you start second...
CrabHelmet
still can be a FTK... if you start second... An FTK on the second turn is not an FTK.
Orochi
technically yes, because if you start second, that's YOUR first turn...
CrabHelmet
technically yes' date=' because if you start second, that's YOUR first turn...[/quote'] But it's not THE first turn, therefore it is not an FTK. To be an FTK, it needs to be possible on the very first turn of the duel; otherwise, every OTK in existence could be classified as an FTK.
Orochi
so, technically... FTK doesn't exist...
CrabHelmet
so' date=' technically... FTK doesn't exist...[/quote'] No, FTK's exist. However, FTK's that require attacks do not exist.

Purple Dinosaur
I bet Konami will make some sort of new FTK in Duelist Genesis or something with the Shueisha Promos and TCG exclusives. They'll obviously put more broken cards.
