Here is the next, (and apparently, long awaited episode). An old character will make a return here.

 

Episode 11: Fusion Vs. Fusion! Destiny Determined!

 

[Where the duel last left off, Riley had King Dragun and Horus

The Black Flame Dragon Level 6 On The Field. Seto had one card

face-down, and Riley was about to attack and finish off the

duel.]

 

Current Lifepoints

 

Riley: 3100

Seto: 2200

 

Riley was standing tall, and smiling. "This was fun, but all

good things must come to an end at some point! King Dragun,

attack Seto directly and finish this duel!"

Seto stood with a smirk on his face.

"What's so funny" Riley couldn't understand how someone who

was about to lose could be happy.

"I gotta admit, your a good duelist kid, but I'm not defeated

that easily."

"I don't get it, you can't activate cards on any Dragon-Type

monsters I have out, so your face-down can't protect you.

"Your right, I can't activate cards on your dragons, but I can

activate cards on my own lifepoints."

"What The"? Riley was confused.

"I reveal my trap, Dragon Crusade! Here's how it works, for

every dragon-type monster in my graveyard, my lifepoints

increase by 1000 points. That means, my lifepoints are now

6200!"

"Even so, my King Dragun and my Horus The Black Flame Dragon

Level 6 still attack you for 4700 points!

"That's fine, because my lifepoints are down to 1500. Although

you may have a big advantage, I'm still in this game."

Mokuba smiled. His big brother always managed to pull himself

out of tough situations. "Come on Seto, you can do this"

*As much as I want my brother to win, If Riley wins it means he

is the chosen duelist, and whatever prophecy Marik mentioned

is true. I guess time will tell.*

"Back to the duel. I have to admit Seto, that was an amazing

move you pulled off. Even when I had you in a corner, you still

managed to get your game together and save yourself. That's it

for my turn." *I have a feeling there's more to this duel then

I understand. I'm just going to have to win. I mean, how many

people can say they've defeated Seto Kaiba? Only a select few

that I know of can do this."

"Well kid. It's my move. *This kid's a lot better of a duelist

than I expected. I never thought he would get this far against

me. I still have to try and win, because this will tell me if

he really is the chosen duelist or not.* "Watch this! I

activate the spell card, Dragon Removal spell card! I can remove

from play all cards in my graveyard! Next, I can draw one card

from my deck for each dragon-type monster that I removed! I

count four cards. So now,I can activate this card, my Glowing

Summon Spell! I can select two monsters I have removed from the

game, and special summon them to my side of the field. The only

catch is, during your next end phase, both of them are destroyed,

and I lose lifepoints equal to the number of level stars they

have times 100! So I summon two Of My Blue Eyes White Dragons!"

 

[The giant dragons appear on the field, roaring, and happy

to be back.]

 

Riley was annoyed with this. "Every time I get rid of those

dragons, Seto always finds a way to get them back on the

field."

"That's right kid. I told you, I won't go down without a fight.

Next, I place one card face-down. Next, my Blue Eyes White

Dragon will attack your King Dragun with White Lightning!"

 

[Riley's dragon explodes into little pixels]

 

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but now your lifepoints are down to

2500. But that's not the worst of it, my second Blue Eyes will

destroy your Horus The Black Flame Dragon Level 6! White

Lighting!

 

[Just like King Dragun, Horus also explodes, and Riley's life

points once again decrease]

 

"Wow. My lifepoints are now 1800, and Seto's dragons remain

on the field until the end of my turn. But, Seto made a foolish

mistake. His dragon's will be destroyed at the end phase, and

he will lose 1600 lifepoints! Hey Seto, I don't know if you

realize this, but you basically lose! Let me explain, you

can't protect yourself from the effect of your Glowing

Summon spell. So, All I have to do is last till the end of

this turn! I'll summon my trusty Spear Dragon in attack mode."

A dragon, a lot smaller than Blue-Eyes, appears on the field,

looking ready for battle.

"I'll end my turn, and now Seto, you lose!"

"Not so fast kid. I activate my face-down card!"

*How did I not think about the card he layed face-down last

turn? That was a foolish mistake, and Seto probably thinks

so too. Well, maybe not. I guess I'll just have to wait and

see.

"Riley. That was a foolish mistake not thinking about my face-

down card. Now you have to pay the consequences. I play my

Interdimensional Matter Transporter! I'm allowed to remove one

of my Blue Eyes White Dragons from play, until the end of the

turn. So only one of them gets destroyed, and I only lose 800

lifepoints! Which means I'm at 700. Now, since your turn is

basically over, my dragon comes back, safe and sound! So now

what are you going to do?"

 

 

[Away from the duel, Marik Ishtar is walking in the city,

looking for someone. As he looks around, he accidentally walks

into a young man.]

 

"Hey Watch Where Your Going" The guy shouts at Marik.

"Will you please excuse me? I am sorry, I didn't mean to walk

into you, I am just looking for someone." Marik tries to explain

that he is busy.

"That's no excuse. Your gonna pay for what you did! Now get your

deck ready, cause were going to duel!"

*A duel? Now? I guess this guy has his mind made up. After I

defeat this guy, I'll continue to look for Shadow*

"Hurry up buddy" The guy says to Marik. "I only have 5 minutes."

"Fine, thats four minutes and fifty-nine seconds less than it

will take for me to defeat you. Now get ready"

 

[it's back to the duel, as Seto prepares to make his move.]

 

"You've shown some impressive talent Riley, and for that I

credit you. But I'm confident now that you aren't the one I

was looking for. I know that If you were actually the chosen

duelist, you wouldn't have made so many amateur mistakes"

*Once again, Seto mentions the "Chosen Duelist" thing. I mean,

I'm a good duelist, but I don't know about any "chosen duelist"

title belonging to me. If Seto wants me to defeat him, then I

guess I'll have to make that happen*

"Well, this was fun kid, but I'm afraid this duel is over.

I activate the spell card, Final Blast! Here's how it works.

I can special summon any monster from my graveyard with less

or equal attack points than my Blue Eyes! I choose to summon

the Blue Eyes White Dragon that was destroyed last turn! The

only catch is, you get to search your deck for a trap card

and set it on the field."

*Why would Seto do that? Maybe he thinks even if I destroy

one of his dragons, he can still attack with the next one.

So what card should I choose? Here we go."

"Fine. I choose this card and play it face-down." Riley is

smiling.

"I don't know what's so funny. Even though you are allowed

to activate the card you just set, I still have two monsters,

and if you destroy one, I can still attack with the other.

So Blue Eyes, attack his Spear Dragon with White Lightning!

Lets see that little trap of yours!"

"Be careful what you wish for Seto. I play, Mirror Gate!"

"Not that card!"

"It lets us exchange monsters, so you get my Spear Dragon, and

I get Blue Eyes. Now, the battle continues! So, Blue Eyes,

attack Spear Dragon with White Lightning! Thats the end.

*This kid just beat me? How can that be? I didn't expect

a card like Mirror Gate. Maybe he really is the chosen duelist.

If that is the case, then he must be ready to face the evil

that is coming. And for that, he will need to duel someone even

better than me.*

"I can't believe I beat Seto Kaiba!"

 

Riley's friends Ace and Crystal run up to him. "Awesome Job,

Riley!" Ace explains. They tell Riley that it was an awesome

duel.

"I'm just glad to be back to my old self again! No more Shadow

Games for me!"

"I wouldn't be so sure, kid. You did defeat me, and I respect

you for that. The fact that you beat me, makes me wonder if

you really are the chosen duelist. For that, you have to

take the ultimate test!"

 

 

[back to Marik, who is about to duel some angry young

duelist]

 

Marik stares at the duelist.

"So, what's your name old man?"

"Old man? That hurts my feelings?"

"Well, you seem very full of your self, especially if you

think you can beat me. I've won tournaments all around the

world."

"You see, that's the difference between us. You say I'm

full of my self, while your very empty. Well, Empty-Minded

that is. And your right. Traveling to egypt, and helping defeat

and evil dark lord like Zorc, is no feat compared to winning

Little League tournaments. So, what do I call you?"

"Call me Steve. Steve Mitchell. And that's A Name you won't

forget after this duel. And what is your name?

"My name is not important right now. What is important, is

that I defeat you quickly and move on."

Episode 12: A Shadow Of Your Former Self!

 

[in the last episode, Riley managed to defeat Seto Kaiba in a duel, leading to Seto telling Riley that he was the chosen one, and he had a true test to take. Then, Marik Ishtar accidentally walked into a duelist by the name of Steven Mitchell, and the duelist challenged him to a duel.]

 

“Well, are you ready to be defeated?” Steven looked at Marik, staring down the person he was about to duel.

“If I was ready to be defeated, I surely wouldn’t be dueling against you. Now let’s duel!”

“What’s the rush? Defeating you will be fun.”

“I told you already, I have somewhere to be. So Let’s get this over with.”

“You will learn not to mess with Steve Mitchell!”

“Well, whatever you say. I suppose you can make the first move.” Defeating this kid will be a piece of cake. I mean, I’ve fought much tougher opponent’s, such as Yugi, Kaiba, and even King Atem. I think some young, new duelist won’t be that much of a challenge. But, I’ll give him a chance.

“You done talkin yet old man? Good. Now, It’s time to duel!”

 

[Duel]

 

“My Move.” Steven, determined to win, was confident that Marik would be no challenge at all. Whoever this guy is, I’ll teach him not to mess with me!*

“Are you gonna make your move, or just stand there?”

“Don’t rush me, this duel will end soon enough. I’ll start by playing the spell card, Tablet Force. Here’s how it works. I can discard two cards from my hand, and special summon from my deck one Fiend Type Monster With Level Stars Lower than the total of the discarded monsters. Get It? I discard the Earl Of Demise, and Demise Tablet, to special summon one Diabound Colonel from my deck in attack mode. (1800/1200) Next, I will play one card face-down, and end my turn.

Diabound Colonel?! Yami Bakura used that card before In a duel with Yugi. Could it be this duelist has some ties to Bakura, or the shadow realm In some way? Well, I can’t stay around and find out* “Ok, My Move. I play the spell card

Gift Of Renewal. Now, I can discard one card from my hand, and draw two cards from my deck. Next, I play a monster face-down in defense mode. That will do it for me.”

“Wow. You call that a move? Diabound, attack his face-down monster!

“My card is known as Combo Striker (1000/1200).”

“Well, how's this for a combo! Diabound crush that puny warrior!

 

[Marik’s monster is destroyed, and Diabound gets a little bigger, but is then destroyed]

 

“What happened?”

“What happened, is the effect of my Combo Striker. When he is destroyed in battle by a dark type monster, the monster is destroyed, and it’s owner loses 1000 lifepoints. Meaning, your at 3000 now.”

“Don’t be so happy. Diabound is making a return trip! I play the trap card Rebirth Tablet! I can remove from play my Demise Tablet in the graveyard, and special summon Diabound back to the field.”

*Wow. Maybe I underestimated this kid. It’s no matter, I still won’t lose to him, not with the world on the brink of danger again. *

“I believe Diabound still gets an extra 500 attack points because he destroyed your Warrior, which makes his total attack points 2300. I will play one card face-down, and end my turn.”

“Well. *I have to win quickly. That Diabound will continue to get stronger unless I destroy it now. * My Turn. Let me show you a real move. I activate the spell card, Card Of Demise. Now, I can draw 4 cards, but in 5 turns, If I don’t use them, they are destroyed. So Now I play the spell card, Combo Team. Here's what happens. I can special summon "Combo Tokens" in every empty monster card zone. But then, for every token I summon, I skip that many draw phases. So, I have five empty zones, which means I get five tokens. Then, I activate Berserker Soul. I can discard my whole hand from the graveyard, and pick up cards from my deck until I get a spell card. All other cards go to the graveyard. For every monster sent to the graveyard, one of my tokens gain 500 attack points.

 

[Marik continues to pick up cards, until he draws a spell.]

 

“Wow. I finally got a spell card. And I only had to get rid of 5 cards to do it. So, one of my tokens, I’ll choose the first one, gets an extra 2500 Attack points. Now, I’ll play one card face-down. Now, my first token will attack your Diabound!”

“I play the trap card, Fearful Earthbound. This means, every time you attack, you lose 500 lifepoints.”

“I play, Snowfall Sword. So now, I can negate the activation of your trap, and return it face-down. Now, I resume my attack! You lose 700 lifepoints, so your at 2300. Now, all 4 of my tokens attack for 2000 points. Your at 300. With that, I end my turn.”

“I thought you would never finish. I play the spell card, Night of Walpurgis. Now, once per turn I am allowed to special summon a level 6 or lower fiend type monster from my graveyard. I choose my Diabound!”

I keep destroying that card, and he keeps bringing it back.*

“Now, Diabound, attack his token! You lose a nice little 1300 points. So your at 2700. My Diabound gains 250 attack points now as well. I end my turn.”

“My move. It’s time to finish this duel up. I play the spell card, Pot Of Greed. Next, I tribute 4 of my tokens to summon Combo Warrior. He has a special effect as well. I can tribute all of my monsters to summon him, and all cards on your side of the field are destroyed. If I do use this effect, his attack decreases by 2000 points. So now, he is only 1000. But still, that’s enough to end this duel! Combo Warrior, attack Steven directly! That’s the end.”

“I’m shocked that you beat me. But don’t think you’ve seen the last of me!”

*That was weird. He didn’t seem surprised at all that he lost. Well, I have to continue looking for Shadow. I’ll worry about this later.*

 

[End Duel]

 

[steven walks away, with a smile on his face. Marik then heads down the road where he was going.]

 

[back to Kaiba and Riley.]

 

“Listen Seto. If there is something I can do to help, I will. Just explain to me what’s going on.”

“You will find out soon enough.”

[in The Last Episode, Marik defeated Steven Mitchell in a duel, and then Seto Kaiba explained to Riley that he had one more challenge to face in order to determine if he really was the chosen one.]

 

Episode 13: The Test Begins!

 

Riley looked at Seto. "I don't understand exactly why anyone thinks I'm the chosen one."

Ace and Crystal were also confused. "Ya. What did Riley do that was so important to the fate of the world?"

"Riley, do you remember when you dueled Shadow, and defeated him?"

"Oh Yeah! I completely forgot about that. Are you saying that because I defeated Shadow, and Shadow is trying to take over the world, I am the one who has to defeat him in order to stop everything?"

"That's basically the point. When you dueled Shadow, he was just disguising himself so he could test you. As We Speak Marik Ishtar, I'm sure you know who he is, is searching for Shadow."

"Marik?!" Riley was confused. *Marik Ishtar? I remember when he was trying to take over the world himself, but then Yugi and his friends stopped him, returing him to the side of good.* "Why can't Marik duel Shadow himself? I'm sure it would be easy for him."

"Not exactly. Marik is a good duelist, but Shadow is extremely strong, and besides, you are the one who is supposed to defeat him."

"Like I told you, I'll take on any challenge. I don't care how good Shadow is, I'll give him a fight he won't forget!"

 

[steven Mitchell, the duelist who recently dueled against Marik, walks into the area where Riley and the others were talking.]

 

"Don't be so sure", Steven Said.

"Who are you kid? We have business to attend to, so scram."

"Well, If It isn't Seto Kaiba. You don't scare me. I could defeat you hands down. But, I am here to duel Riley."

"We don't have time for tha...."

"Fine. I'll duel you." Riley had interrupted Kaiba, and walked in front of the duelist.

"You know, I've been through some crazy things in the past week, and I find a duel always helps sort things out. But, why do you want to duel me? Does it have anything to do with Shadow?"

"It may, or it may not. That's for you to find out as our duel begins."

"Fine. I love a good duel."

"Does Riley even know what he is getting into?" Ace Said. "He has more important things to worry about than a fun little duel."

"Stop worrying. Something tells me this duel is more important than it may seem."

"Well. Riley needs time to rest."

 

[Ace walks up to where Riley and Steven are standing.]

 

"Hey Riley. Why don't you sit this one out? Let me take this guy on!"

"A weak duelist like you has no chance at defeating me."

"If your afraid to duel me, that's fine."

"Are you making fun of me?"

"Hey Ace. I don't know if this is a good idea for you to duel him." Riley looked concerned. "You have helped me a lot throughout all this."

"No. I am going to duel this guy, and I am going to win."

 

[Mokuba, Seto, and Crystal are standing back a little, watching as the duel is about to begin.]

 

"Big Brother. Do you think Ace can beat this guy?"

"I don't know. I've never seen him duel. All I know is, he came here to duel Riley, which must mean he has some connection to Shadow."

"Well, I hope Ace can win." Crystal Said.

"That's all we can do, hope."

 

[back To The Duel]

 

"Let's do this!"

"Be careful Ace, I don't want anyone to get hurt."

"It's a little late for that Riley, you should have thought about that before you accepted those cards."

"Well, Let's Go!"

"Fine, I'll start." Ace Drew 5 Cards From His Deck.

"I Summon Marauding Captain In Attack Mode. Next, I use his Special Ability To Special Summon Celtic Guardian from my hand. Then, I'll play one card face-down and end my turn."

"You Call That A Move? I Activate The Spell Card The Cheerful Coffin. So I Can Discard Three Monsters From My Hand To The Graveyard. So I choose, My Zure, Knight Of Dark World, Mokey Mokey, and Mystic Tomato to the graveyard. Next, I activate Graceful Charity, so I can draw three cards, and discard two. I discard Giant Orc and Dragged Down Into The Grave. Now, I remove from play all my monsters in the graveyard to Special Summon Sky Scourge Enrise.

[A Giant Figure Appears On The Field. It's like a tall white Chaos Figure, with a golden glow around it.]

 

[seto looks shocked!]

 

"Where did he get that card!!? Those cards haven't even been released yet!"

 

[back To The Duel]

 

"My Monster has a special ability as well. I can remove from play any face-up monster on the field, but I cannot attack during the turn I use the effect. Well, It's no matter. I will activate my Scourge's Effect Now! Use Chaos Blast to remove his Maruading Captain from play!"

"Not My Marauding Captain!"

"There's more. I play one card face-down, and end my turn."

"Fine. Now, It's my move! I Play The Spell Card, Reinforcement Of The Army. Now, I can look through my deck, select one warrior monster, and add it to my hand. So, I choose, Obnoxious Celtic Guard. I activate Celtic Sword. I Equip It To My Obnoxious Celtic Guard. Now, His Attack Increases By 500 Points, bringing the total to 1900. Thats not all, I also activate Celtic Shield, which gives my Celtic Guard another 500 attack points, plus, 700 additional defense points. Bringing it's attack total to 2400, and it's defense total to 1700. Next, I'll attack your Sky Scourge!

 

[The Two Monsters Battle, and The Sky Scourge Is Destroyed.]

 

"Awesome Move, Ace!" Riley stood watching the duel, amazed at how well Ace was doing.

"I have to admit, it was a good move for a duelist like you to make."

"Well, I end my turn."

"Next, It's my turn. I play the spell card Celestial Transformation. I can Special Summon Hysteric Fairy from my hand, but it's attack points are Split In Half, and it's also destroyed at the end of my turn."

"Then what's the point of playing it?"

"Watch. Next, I tribute Hysteric Fairy to Summon Majestic Mech-Ohka!"

 

[The Fairy is destroyed, and A Bigger, Fairy Type Monster Appears In It's Place.]

"Now I'll play two cards face-down and end my turn."

"Next, It's my turn." *I don't exactly know what this guy wants with Riley, or what any of this has to do with us at all. But One Thing I do know, If we don't do something soon, the world is going to be in danger. So, It's up to me, to win this duel, and get us one step closer to saving the world!*

[in the last episode, Riley, Seto, and the others met Steven Mitchell, the duelist who lost to Marik two episodes ago. Steven challenged Riley to a duel, but Ace decided to duel Steven instead. When the episode ended, Ace had just destroyed Steven's Sky Scourge Enrise.]

 

Episode 14-Beginning Of The End

 

[Ace and Steven stare each other down. Seto and the others are watching the duel, amazed at how well Ace is doing.]

 

"Well, now that you've finished your move, I think I'll make mine. *Every move I make has to be well planned. I can't afford to make any mistakes. A lot is riding on this duel. It will tell me if I'm strong enough to help Riley.* "First, since it's my standby phase, I can place one Spell Counter on my Celtic Sword."

"Why would you want to do that?"

"I will explain, when my sword gets 5 spell counters on it, I can take a Celtic Fusion card from my deck. Although, I'll wait a little while before I explain that card, I don't want to spoil the duel. Next, I summon Celtic Kid in attack mode.

 

[A younger looking version of the Obnoxius Celtic Guard appears on the field.]

 

"You think a weak monster like that can defeat me?"

"True, he only has 1000 attack points, but, his effect makes up for it. Now watch this! I can tribute my Celtic Kid, and place 3 spell counters on any card on my side of the field. So, I will place three counters on my Celtic Sword! Next, I will play one card face-down and end my turn."

"My move. *This kid will be a piece of cake. I'll defeat him, then go on and duel Riley. * "Now then, I activate the spell card, Flash Summon. By paying 1000 of my lifepoints, which brings me down to 3000, I can select any monster from my deck and special summon it. So I choose, Snipe Hunter. Of course, I can't attack this turn, because of my spell, but it's no matter. I activate Snipe Hunter's effect. By discarding one card from my hand to the graveyard, I can roll a dice. If my result is not 1 or 6, I can destroy any card on the field. "

 

[steven rolls a dice, and it the result is 4.]

 

"Ok, so, Snipe Hunter, destroy his Obnoxious Celtic Guard!"

"Not so fast! I activate my Divine Wrath trap card. So I can discard any card from my hand, then negate the effect of your Snipe Hunter, and destroy him!"

"Heh. Beginners Luck. I end my turn."

"Ok, my turn! First, I can place another Spell Counter on my Celtic Sword. Now that it has five counters, I can send it to the graveyard, and add one Celtic Fusion from my deck to my hand. But, Obnoxious Celtic Guard's attack decreases to 1900. Now, I summon Celtic Guardian! I can now activate, Celtic Fusion! So, I send my Celtic Guardian and my Obnoxious Celtic Guard to the graveyard to special summon Celtion, Master Of The Blade!

 

[A warrior, larger, and much cooler looking than Celtic Guardian and Obnoxious Celtic Guard, appears on the field.]

 

"He has 1900 attack points. But that's not all, every time you draw a card, my Celtion gets a spell counter. For each spell counter on him, he gains 200 attack points. Now, I play the spell card Trap Booster. So, by discarding one card from my hand, I can activate a trap card from my hand. I play, Gift Of Greed! So you get to draw 2 cards."

"Why would you do that? That's a foolish move to make."

"Don't forget, my Celtion now gains 400 attack points, bringing his total up to 2300! Now, I play one card face-down, and end my turn."

"Fine, It's once again my move. I activate the spell card, Card Of Demise. Now, I can draw 4 cards, and in 5 turns, I have to discard my whole hand. Next, I play the spell card, The Cheerful Coffin, and I discard two monsters to the graveyard.

 

[steven discards another Snipe Hunter, and Khakki, Guerilla Of Dark World.]

 

"One of the cards I discarded was Khakki, Guerilla of Dark World, which means, I can destroy your Celtion."

"You wish. I play, De-Fusion. So you have no target now, any my Celtic Guardian and Obnoxious Celtic Guard return."

"Now, I remove from play, 4 monsters in my graveyard from play, and Special Summon Sky Scourge Norleras!"

 

[seto looks at the card, once again shocked.]

 

"He has that card too! I don't understand. Those cards weren't even released yet, and somehow he has obtained both of them."

"It doesn't matter" Riley said. "Ace will win, at least I hope."

"Let's find out."

 

[back To The Duel.]

 

"Norleras has a special ability, so I can pay 1000 of my lifepoints, which brings me to 2000, then destroy all cards on the field!"

"What?!"

"That's not the worst of it, because I get to draw a card now! Since I havent Normal Summoned this turn, I will summon Beige, Vanguard Of Dark World. Attack him directly!"

"I can still win, I still have 2400 lifepoints. I need to draw a good card here."

"No matter what you draw, you will not defeat me."

"Oh yeah? I activate my Rivals Alliance spell card! Now, since I have a Celtic Guardian and Obnoxious Celtic Guard on the field, all my monsters can attack you directly! Now, attack! You lose 2800 points, and that's the end!"

[in the middle of the city, Jessie Andersen is dueling against two young duelists. Jessie has Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus on the field, and 4000 lifepoints. His two opponent's have 2000 each.]

 

"You guys really need to pick your duelists a little better. I tribute My Sapphire Pegasus, then, Special Summon Crystal Beast Rainbow Dragon! Attack with Crystal Crush! Better luck next season!"

good episode but i have to ask, where did it come from that rainbow dragon needs a tribute to be summoned.......oh well, anyway, great job
