Ok, this is my first episode of my first yu-gi-oh Fan Fic. Some cards used in the duels of the episodes are cards I actually created, those will be in [brackets]. First I will list the characters, and then I will post the first episode.

Episode One: Storming The Field!

 

Riley sat up and looked around. It was an average morning for him. The sun was out, he could hear his parents working downstairs, and he could see birds flying around outside. You see, Riley Is A Duelist, and he lives in Diamond City. Not only is he a duelist, but he is a very good one and is well-known around his city. Diamond City holds weekly duel tournaments, and Riley always attempts to participate in them. After saying good morning to his Mom And Dad, Riley walked outside, getting ready to meet his friends Ace Emerald And Crystal Snow in the park. Usually, they would hang out and duel, but Riley had a feeling something different would happen today.

 

Riley: Bye Mom, Bye Dad!

Mom & Dad: Have a good day!

 

Before leaving, Riley put his duel disk on, so that he would be ready to face anyone that dared to challenge him. Riley's duel disk was no ordinary one. It was a disk shaped like a dragon. Most of it was blue, with some silver and red color mixed in. It was really neat, and he had gotten it as a gift.

 

(Park)

 

Riley: Hey *Talking To His Friends*, hows it going?

Ace: Good, suprisingly your not late this time. *laughs*.

Crystal: So, what are we going to do today?

Riley: I want to find a tough opponent to duel!

???: A Tough Opponent, huh?

Riley: Who are you?

???: My name is Shadow, and I'm one of the best duelists around here.'

Ace: Ya, I'm sure Riley could easily defeat you.

Riley: I agree. What makes you so tough?

Shadow: Why don't you duel me and find out?

Riley: Fine. I never back down from a duel.

 

They walk over to an open space, preparing to duel.

 

Duel! (Remember, created cards are in the [brackets])

 

Riley: I'll make the first move. I activate the spell card Graceful Charity, which allows me to draw three cards, and then discard two. *Discards cards*. Then, I'll discard one card from my hand to Special Summon Tricky (2000/1500) in attack mode. I'll play one face-down and end my turn.

Shadow: Decent move, but watch this. I play the spell card Dark World Lightning. It allows me to destroy your face-down card and discard one card from my hand.

Riley: Not My Mirror Force!

Shadow: That's not all, the card I discarded is called Silva, Warlord Of Dark World, and when he's discarded, I get to Special Summon him back to the field.

Ace: Wow, he's good. A 2300 Point Monster On his first turn.

Shadow: So I Summon Silva, Warlord Of Dark World (2300/1400) in attack mode. Next, I summon Beige, Vanguard Of Dark World (1600/1300) In Attack Mode.

Riley: Uh-Oh.

Shadow: That's right I told you, no one can defeat me. Now, Silva, attack his Tricky with Dark Sword!

*Riley's lifepoints drop to 3700.*

Shadow: That's not all! Beige, attack directly with Dark Wave!

*Riley's lifepoints drop to 2100*

Crystal: Riley may not be able to win now.

Ace: Don't Give Up Hope.

Riley: My turn! Don't think that just because you got in a direct attack, I'm going to lose.

Shadow: I don't. I think your going to lose because I am a better duelist.

Riley: Oh Yeah? Watch This! I activate The Spell Card [Reflect Barrier]. By Paying 1000 lifepoints, I can destroy one monster you control that made a direct attack on your last turn!

*Riley's lifepoints drop to 1100*

Shadow: So What? I still have Silva, and it is a stronger monster,

Riley: I noticed that *staring at the hologram in front of him*, which is why I play this [Dragon Strike] Spell Card. By sending one Dragon from my deck to the graveyard, I can inflict 700 Points Of Damage To Your lifepoints.

*Shadow's lifepoints drop to 3300*

Riley: I play one card face-down and end my turn.

Ace: Riley has no more cards in his hand. Hopefully that face-down will help him out.

Crystal: Yea, Hopefully.

Shadow: My Move. I play the spell card Dark World Dealings. Here's how it works, We each draw one card, then discard one. So, you will draw your card and then lose it anyway.

Riley: Come on, Heart Of The Cards, I need your help.

Shadow: It's useless, you can't win. I draw a card and discard another Beige, Vanguard Of Dark World, which because of it's effect can be Special Summoned To The Field. I summon it in Attack Mode (1600/1300). Now, you have to discard yours.

Riley Is Smiling. Taking a look at the field, Shadow notices that all of the holograms are destroyed, and there are no cards on the field.

Shadow: What happened?

Riley: The Card I Discarded was [Return Blade], and when it's discarded by a card effect controlled by my opponent, it destroys all cards on the field and we both lose 1000 lifepoints.

*Riley's lifepoints drop to 100*

*Shadow's lifepoints drop to 2300*

Ace: Riley only has 100 points left.

Shadow: Fine, I end my turn. If you don't draw a good card now, this duel will be over.

Riley: *Smiling* Would You Look At That, I got Pot Of Greed. By activating Pot Of Greed, I get to draw 2 cards. Thinking *let's hope they are good ones*. Yes!

Shadow: No Matter What You Drew, you still wont win.

Riley: Oh Yeah, check this out. I Summon Spear Dragon (1900/0)!

Shadow: So What? It's only 1900.

Riley: Not after I play the spell card United We Stand! It gives my dragon an extra 800 attack points for each monster on my side of the field!

Shadow: But that means! *looking nervous*

Riley: Oh Yeah! 2700 Attack points, which means, you lose! Spear Dragon, attack with Wind Fury!

*Shadow's lifepoints drop to 0*

Riley: That means you lose.

Shadow: This means nothing, next time we meet, I promise you will not win!

 

End Duel!

 

Ace: Awesome job Riley, great duel!

Crystal: Yea, you were awesome!

Riley: Thanks! I am unbeatable!

Ace: Don't get too overconfident!

Episode 2: Battle In The Sanctuary!

 

After his intense duel with Shadow, Riley and his friends sit down in the park to talk about the duel and try to find out why Shadow had wanted to duel Riley in the first place. Crystal stood up.

 

Crystal: I don't know why he wanted to duel you, but it sure was an awesome match. I wish I could have a duel like that.

Riley: Hey Crystal, why don't you and I duel? I know we have before, but I almost lost that last duel, and I want to get in some more practice, ya know?

Crystal: Sure. That would be fun. Let's Go.

Ace: I look forward to seeing the two of you duel each other.

!she used it in all her duels. Chris already had his disk on, so they headed to the open field where Riley and Shadow dueled and got ready to throw down.

 

Duel!

 

Riley: Just because we're friends, don't expect me to go easy on you!

Crystal: Nor Me On You!

Riley: I Set One Card Face-Down and Summon Twin Headed Behemoth (1500/1000) In Attack Mode. Your Move.

Crystal: It's time to get serious, I summon Radiant Jeral (1000/2000) in defense mode. Then, I play the Field Spell Sanctuary In The Sky!

Riley: That's it? Watch This! I Summon Spear Dragon (1900/0) in Attack Mode! Then, I activate The Spell Card Swords Of Revealing Light. That means that you cannot attack for three turns.

Riley *thinking to himself*: this gives me three turns to plan a strategy to win this duel, and three turns to draw some better cards.

Riley: Fine, Then You Can Make Your Move.

Crystal: I will, tribute my Radiant Jeral to Summon Airknight Parshath (1900/1400) in attack mode. Because Radiant Jeral was sent to the graveyard, my lifepoints increase by 1000.

*Crystal's lifepoints increase to 5000*

Crystal: Then, I set two face-downs and end my turn.

Crystal *thinking*: These traps should keep me protected. First, I have my Light Of Judgement, which means that I can discard a card to destroy any card on the field, plus my Magic Cylinder. I'm all set!

Riley: My turn?

Crystal: Ya Sure. But prepare to lose.

Riley *thinking*: she has never defeated me, so I'm not worried now.

Riley: Ready? Watch this! I tribute my Twin Headed Behemoth To Summon Chaos Command Magician (2400/1900) In Attack Mode. Next, I play Mystical Space Typhoon and destroy your face-down card to the left.

Crystal *thinking*: Yes! He didn't destroy my Light Of Judgement, and now I can use it to destroy any of his cards! A big mistake!

Riley: Now, Chaos Command Magician! Attack her Airknight with Magic Vortex!

Crystal: I play, Light Of Judgement! By discarding one card, I can destroy your Magician!

Riley: What!

Riley *thinking*: I should have thought before I attacked, it was a stupid mistake for me to make.

Riley: It's your turn now, and my Swords are destroyed so you can attack now.

Crystal: My move! I tribute my Airknight Parshath To Special Summon Neo-Parshath, The Sky Paladin (2300/2000). Prepare to meet the most powerful monster In my deck!

Riley: Whoa! I've never seen that card before!

Crystal: Guess what? Because I have the Sanctuary In The Sky out, and My lifepoints are higher than yours, my Paladin gains attack points equal to the difference of our lifepoints, and thats 1000! Now, my monster is 3300 instead! Next, I play the Spell Card [sanctuary Spell]. I can change the battle position of one of your monsters, and then I gain 500 lifepoints! So, I'll change your Spear Dragon to defense mode!

*Crystal's lifepoints increase to 5500*

Crystal: Now, because my lifepoints went up, my Paladin's attack points go up as well, to 3800! Now, Paladin, attack Spear Dragon with Light Sword!

*Riley's lifepoints decrase to 200*

Riley: What happened? Why did my lifepoints go down?

Crystal: My Paladin also inflicts damage to you when attacking a defense position monster with lower defense than Paladin's attack! Not only that, but I get to draw a card. One more thing, because the difference in our lifepoints is now 5300, My Sky-Paladin's attack increases to 7600!

Riley *thinking*: That monster is way too powerful, I don't think I can defeat it.

Riley: Good Move! Now check this out, I play the spell card Graceful Charity, which lets me draw 3 cards and discard two. But, I play my face-down [Disgraceful Charity] which returns any discarded cards back to my hand. *thinking* I can't do anything now, I can't believe I'm actually going to lose.

Riley: Your Move!

Crystal *thinking*: Why didn't he summon anything? It's not like Riley to just throw the game?

Crystal: Well, Parshath, Attack Him Directly! You Lose!

 

End Duel!

 

Riley: That was a good match.

Crystal: Yea, a lot of fun too.

Riley: I'm gonna leave, I'll catch up with you later.

Ace: Bye!

 

Riley walks away, upset about his loss, when a mysterious cloaked stranger walks up to him.

 

Riley: Who Are You?

???: That is not important now. What is important is that I have found a way to make you stronger. All you have to do is use this card in your deck. *hands Riley the card*

Riley: Thanks. But why me? Why not someone else?

???: You have potential boy, and I know that you deserve that card.

 

Riley looks at the card, it is giving of a dark glow, sort of like a smoky shadow. There is something weird about the card.

???: You are right, but let it's power take you over, and you will become much stronger.

Riley: I don't know about this...

???: Do you want to get stronger?

Riley: Yes.

???: Then use the card.

Riley: Ok. I need to become a better duelist.

 

The Stranger walks away, laughing.

 

Riley *thinking* Wow. I feel stronger already.

 

He starts to be consumed by the shadow, and begins to laugh.

 

Riley: No one will defeat me now!

 

 

 

 

Next Episode: A New Card Revealed!

I liked your story. I can't believe that Riley is going to give in to the dark secret just because he was beaten by a girl. He is like Luke Skywasher or whatever his name was. I think he should be more careful or he will become evil like his father and then the evil will grow within him until it destroys everything he holds dear.

He will lose his friends and his deck and he will be left with nothing but the blackness nd sorrow that he has sewn upon himself. I am truly frightened for him.

Episode 3: A New Card Revealed

 

Riley is walking by himself in the park of Diamond City, staring at his new card. Ever since obtaining that new card, Riley has not lost a duel, and he has a completely new deck with much stronger monsters.

*Thinking To Himself*: I can't believe how much stronger I've gotten. No one will defeat me now! I will be the strongest duelist in the entire city!

Riley's friends have been trying hard to understand why he has been acting so much meaner lately, but they can't figure anything out.

*Thinking*: Those losers I used to call my friends are worthless now. I don't need friends, I just need victory! Now, who can I duel next?

 

Ace And Crystal, Riley's friends are talking with each other in the city, trying to calculate everything.

Ace: What has happened to him? Riley never acts this way, but now it's like all he cares about is winning duels.

Crystal: Yea. I don't like his new cards either. They seem strange.

Ace: Well, Let's Hope This Will All Stop Soon.

 

Riley Appears.

Riley: Well, you are out of luck, because this is just the beginning. Ace! Get your duel disk ready, because I am going to destroy you and your pathetic cards.

Ace: Riley...... Fine, but I'll warn you, your new cards don't scare me!

Crystal: What are you guys doing? Stop this.

Ace: This has to be done, like it or not.

Riley: Yes, this loser must be defeated.

Crystal: What happened to you?

Riley: Nothing. I just got stronger and realised I didn't need friends.

 

Duel!

 

Ace: Let me go first! Now I can show what real dueling's all about! Having fun!

Riley: Dueling is about winning, and that's what I'm going to do.

Ace: Fine. I play this. The Spell Card Pot Of Greed, So I get two more cards. Then, I summon Warrior Of Zera (1600/1600) in defense mode.

Riley: My Turn. I Summon Spear Dragon (1900/0) in defense mode. Then, I play one face-down. Your Turn. It's one of the last ones you will take.

Ace: You made a mistake by not attacking! Warrior Of Zera, change to attack mode and crush his dragon with Sword Strike!

Riley: I play my trap! [Fate Of Balance]! Now, you can't activate any spells or traps and I get to Special Summon Two Monsters from my deck! Welcome [balance Dragon-Yin] (1900/1500) and [balance Dragon-Yang] (1900/1500)!

Ace: What are those?

Riley: So, you still want to attack?

Ace: No, I'll stop the attack and change to defense mode.

Riley: My turn then! I will finally put an end to you.

*All Of Riley's monsters are surrounded by a dark glow, same as when Riley got the first card.*

Riley: Witness the Power Of The Shadows!

Ace: *thinking*: What do I do? I can't beat those things, nor can I play spell or trap cards!

Riley: Don't worry, It will only get worse! I play the spell card [balance Polymerization]! which allows me to fuse my dragons and summon [Dragon Of Balance-Yin-Yang] (2500/1700] In Attack Mode! It gains 200 Attack points for each "Balance" Card in my graveyard, and I count three! So his attack is now 3100! Spear Dragon, attack Zera with Wind Fury!

*Ace's lifepoints drop to 3700*

Riley: Now, Dragon, Attack him directly!

*Ace's lifepoints drop to 600*

Ace then falls to the ground.

Ace *thinking* I could actually feel pain from that attack. It's like it has real power. I'm not sure what else will happen here!

Riley: So, how does it feel?

Ace: It hurt. A lot. But I'm not going to give up.

*Gets to his feet* Prepare to lose Riley!

Ace: I summon one monster face-down in defense mode.

*Nothing else I can do. I can't play any spell or traps now. This is impossible*

Riley: Prepare to lose. I tribute my Balance Dragon to special summon the most feared duel monster [balance Dragon-Obliterator]! (2000/3500) Now, when he's summoned, all cards are destroyed and we both lose 500 for each card destroyed! I count three, so that's 1500 points.

*Riley's lifepoints drop to 2500*

*Ace's lifepoints drop to 0*

 

Ace then falls on the ground, his cards scattering.

Crystal: What happened to him?

Riley: Not to worry. For now. He just experienced the power of my deck, and next time he won't be so lucky! No one can defeat me! Not even you.

 

Riley stares at Crystal, with a dark glow around him, and the episode ends.

Episode 4: Balance Is Tipped! A New Rival Appears!

 

 

Just after defeating his former friend Ace and rendering him unconscious, Riley stares down Crystal, possibly indicating that she would be his next dueling opponent.

 

Riley: You defeated me once before, but now, no one can defeat me! Once I defeat enough duelists, I will become the most powerful duelist in the entire world!

Crystal: What happened to you?

Riley: Simple. I got stronger. And so can you. Just join me, and save yourself the fate of losing to me.

Crystal: I won't join you. What you are doing is wrong, and you know it.

Riley: Fine. You will be defeated just like everyone else.

*Riley pulls out a necklace from his pocket. It has a Yin-Yang Symbol On It.*

Riley: Let me show you the necklace of Balance. It gives the holder of it the power of shadows, or the power of light. I chose Shadows, and it gives me unstoppable power!

Crystal: Is It A Duel You Want? Because I Will Defeat You Again?

Riley: Wow, you are smarter than you look, I will destroy you once and for all.

Crystal: What do you mean?

Riley: I mean, this will be a Shadow Game!

*Darkness surrounds both of them, and Riley gets his duel disk ready.*

Crystal: What's going on?

Riley: We are dueling in the Shadow Realm, therefore, the loser will be stuck here!

Crystal: What?

Riley: I told you, I have much power now!

Crystal: Fine, but I won't lose!

Crystal *thinking*: I hope I don't, because I would rather not be stuck here.

 

Duel!

(Shadow Game)

 

Crystal: I will make the first move. Watch as I summon my Bountiful Artemis (1600/1700) In Attack Mode! Then, I play the field Spell Sanctuary In The Sky.

*The Area Turns Into What Looks To Be The Sky With A Tall Building Behind it.*

Riley: Haha! You and your cards are alike, pathetic! Watch a real move. Too bad your Sanctuary Isn't staying around! I play the Field Spell [Restoration Of Balance] Which Gives All My "Balance" Monsters an extra 300 Points!

*The Sky disappears, and the duelists are standing on what looks to be a yin-yang symbol, with Riley Standing on the dark side of it.*

Riley: Next, I place two cards face-down and Summon Spear Dragon (1900/0) In Attack Mode! Destroy Bountiful Artemis!

*Crystal's lifepoints drop to 3700*

Crystal *thinking*: I could actually feel that attack. I realize that he was serious about this being a Shadow Realm, and not some trick. I have to win, I can't lose, the consequences are too much!

Crystal: My turn then! I activate Graceful Charity, so I can draw 3 cards and discard 2 of them! Next, I play one card face-down and summon Nova Summoner (1400/800) In Defense Mode! Your turn.

Riley: Fine! I Activate The Trap Card [Fate Of Balance]!

Crystal *thinking*: Not this again! He played this against Ace. I can't play any Spells Or Traps Now! But Wait!

Crystal: Not so fast! I play Mystical Space Typhoon, which I can use to destroy your trap!

Riley: Fine. I don't need it. It's just fun to destroy you completely. If you would rather delay your loss, it's fine with me!

Crystal *thinking*: I just destroyed that card and it didn't even bother him. I bet he has another move planned.

Riley: Watch this! I play one card face-down. Then, I activate Full Salvo. I can send my whole hand to the graveyard and inflict 200 points of damage to your lifepoints for each one.

*Riley discards three cards*

*Crystal's lifepoints decrease to 3100*

Riley: Then I play my face-down, [balance Union], which let's you draw 5 cards, but then, you lose 500 lifepoints for each monster you have on your side of the field. Take This!

*Crystal's lifepoints decrease to 2600*

Riley: That's not all. If I have only one monster on the field, you lose an additional 700 lifepoints.

*Crystal's lifepoints decrease to 1900*

Riley: Now, Spear Dragon, attack her Nova Summoner with Wind Fury!

*Crystal's lifepoints decrease to 800*

*Crystal falls to the ground*

Crystal *thinking*: I can't take much more of this. Luckily, I have my Summoner's special ability to rely on here.

Crystal: Guess what? When you destroyed Nova Summoner, I got to Special Summon a new monster, so welcome Freya, Spirit Of Victory (100/100)!

Riley: I'm terrified! You summoned a whimpy fairy with only 100 points!

Crystal: Riley. You can stop this. This isn't you!

Riley: I'll tell you what, because you were my friend, I'll help you out. I'll try to end this as quickly as possible! *laughs*

Crystal: Fine. My turn then! Watch This! I summon Meltiel, Sage Of The Sky (1600/1200) in Attack Mode! Because Of My Freya's special effect, Meltiel gains an extra 400 attack points, bringing her attack to 2000. So, Meltiel, attack Spear Dragon with Magic Ring! Now, Freya, attack his lifepoints directly.

*Riley's lifepoints drop to 3500*

*Riley just stands there, and doesn't even feel the pain.*

Riley: Is That the best you can do?

Crystal: I'll set two face-downs and end my turn.

Riley: My turn then. I summon [Dragon Of The Light] (2200/200) in attack mode. When it's summoned, I have to get rid of all other cards on my side of the field!

Crystal: Guess what? I play my trap card [sanctuary Calling]. Here's how it works, you get to draw a card, and I can add a Sanctuary In The Sky from my deck to my hand!

Riley: Ok, go ahead! I play the Spell Card Balance Union! Remember it? You get to draw another 5 cards!

Crystal *thinking*: Why would he let me get more cards? Oh yeah. The effect damage it does. Luckily, I have a card to protect me!

Riley: Now, you lose 1700 points altogether!

Crystal: Not so fast! I play the spell card Mystic Wok! So, I can tribute Meltiel to regain 1600 LP.

*Crystal's lifepoints increase to 2400*

*Crystal's lifepoints drop to 700*

*Riley once again laughs*

Crystal: Whats so funny?

Riley: To be honest, your whole deck.

Crystal: Oh yeah, you haven't defeated me, not to mention, you saw the cards I drew! You know that I will summon Archlord Zerato Next Turn and win this duel!

Riley: One problem. You won't have a next turn. Did I forget to mention my dragon's effect, you lose 300 LP each time you draw a card!

Crystal: What!

Riley: It was nice knowing you!

*Crystal's lifepoints drop to 0*

Riley: Now, enjoy your stay in The Shadow Realm!

 

End Duel!

 

*Shadows start to surround Crystal, and she dissapears*

 

???: Wow. Nice Duel.

Riley: Who's there?

???: Just a duelist is all. But, what do you say to a duel with me?

Riley: I will defeat anyone!

 

*A duelist appears. He has an orange shirt on with Black Pants. His Duel Disk is Gold, but it's in the normal shape*

 

???: Bring it on then!

 

 

*In a building, the cloaked stranger that gave Riley his card is looking at some cards.*

 

Cloaked Stranger: Yes. Keep dueling. Pretty soon. My plan will begin!

And the world will be mine!

Episode 5: The True Test

 

*As Riley Stares Down This New Rival Duelist who challenged him, Ace beings to recover from a little farther away.*

Ace *thinking*: I can't believe what happened to Riley. He used to duel for fun and to test his skill, but now all he cares about is winning. I am going to have to defeat him, but I don't think I'm Strong Enough To Do It Right Now. I'm going to have to wait a while. I'll go to Duel Tower in the city and train against some tough opponent's. I promise you this Riley, I will save you and get my friend back. Hey, Where's Crystal? I haven't seen her in a while, not since my duel.

*Ace gets up and begins to exit the park, heading for Duel Tower. Duel Tower is a giant building about 30 feet high were duelists can go to train and become stronger, not to mention buy some cards to improve their decks.*

Ace *thinking*: I'm sure going here will help me out. No matter what it takes, I will save Riley. He is my best friend. Alright, Time To Get Serious!

*A duelist walks up to Ace*

???: Hey Kid, are you a duelist?

Ace: Nope, I just carry around a duel disk for fun. Yes, I'm a duelist. Why?

Aero: Nice Moves, but watch this. I play the spell card Pot Of Greed, so I can draw 2 more cards. Then, I summon Luster Dragon (1900/600) in attack mode. I play the spell card Dragon Treasure, so Luster Dragon becomes 2200. Now, Attack Warrior Of Zera!

*Ace's lifepoints decrease to 3700*

*The duel continues, and it gets down to a point where Aero Has one face-down on the field, and a Luster Dragon in attack mode, along with Dragon Dwelling In The Cave (1300/2000). Ok, just to let you all know, this episode will not feature Riley at all. That duel To Be Continued Will Be In Episode 7, this episode will be about Ace's First Duel At Duel Tower!

 

Episode 6: Duel Tower Throwdown!

 

*Ace is walking down the street, very close to Duel Tower. The tower is around 30 feet high. Many duelists are gathered outside dueling with each other and talking.*

 

Ace *thinking*: I don't know If I will be able to win every duel here, because there are lots of tough duelists here. I have to train and get better to defeat Riley and return him to Normal*

 

*Ace keeps walking, and finally stumbles upon the entrance of Duel Tower. Upon Entering, he meets up with Aero, the duelist he beat before arriving.*

 

Aero: Hey, I was wondering when you would show up here.

Ace: I told you, I have to duel and get stronger.

Aero: I realize that. That Is why I want to give you this.

 

*Aero hands Ace a stack of cards*

 

Aero: I hope these cards will help you to become stronger.

Ace: Thanks so much!

 

*Ace looks at the cards, and then starts to fix up his deck*

 

Ace *thinking*: I should put some of these in my deck. These are good cards. Now, I think I'm ready to get through duel tower!*

 

* A duelist walks up to Ace*

 

???: Hey, my name is Zach. What do you say to a duel?

Ace: Well, why else would I be here?

Zach: Alright, then get ready to duel!

 

Duel!

 

Zach: I'll make the first move. I Summon Armed Dragon Level 3 (1200/900) in defense mode. Then, I play one card face-down.

Ace: Nice Move, but It's Time For Me To Make Mine! I Summon My [Duos Blade Swordsman] (0/0) in attack mode!

Ace *thinking*: Let's see what these new cards can do!

Zach: A monster with 0 attack? You think you can win with that?

Ace: Watch This! [Duos Blade Swordsman] Attack Zach's lifepoints directly with Double Blade!

*Zach's lifepoints don't decrease*

Zach: That was pitiful. You call yourself a duelist?

Ace: My monster has a special effect. When it attacks directly, it's attack increases by 800 points. Now, my Swordsman's attack is 800! Next, I play one card face-down.

Zach: My turn. I play Armed Dragon's special ability, and I'm allowed to Special Summon Armed Dragon Level 5 (2400/1700) in Attack Mode. Next, I summon Luster Dragon! Now, Armed Dragon, attack his Swordsman!

Ace: Not so fast! I play [Energy Slash]! Your attack is negated and I gain 500 lifepoints.

*Ace's lifepoints increase to 4500*

Zach: Nice Move. Maybe your not so bad after all.

Ace: Your right! So Watch This! I tribute my [Duos Blade Swordsman] to Summon [True Swordsman- Tri Blade] (0/0) In Attack Mode.

Zach: Another 0/0 monster?

Ace: He too, has a special ability! I can take three equip cards from my deck and equip them to him! I choose Sword Shield (+500), then [Dragon Blade] (+300), and another Sword Shield (+500), making his attack 1300! Now, attack his Armed Dragon!

Zach: You will be destroyed!

Ace: Calm down! By paying 3000 LP, I can automatically destroy your dragon!

Zach: What?

Ace: Then, I play one face-down card. *Ace's lifepoints decrease to 1500*

Zach: My turn. Check this move out. I activate the spell card Confiscation. I can pay 1000 points to discard any card from your hand.

*Zach's lifepoints decrease to 3000*

*Ace shows his hand, it has Warrior Of Zera, Legendary Sword, And Guardian Zera*

Zach: I choose Guardian Zera.

Ace: What do you mean?

Zach: I activate my face-down card, [Dragon Shield]! Here the deal, when my lifepoints reach 0, I can discard my whole hand to the graveyard, and bring my lifepoints up to 1.

*Zach's lifepoints increase to 1*

Zach: Then, your battle phase ends.

Ace *thinking*: I have only one turn left, and one card in my hand, plus the one in my deck. Let's hope that it's the one I think it is.

Zach: It's now my turn. I tribute Luster Dragon To Summon My Castle Wall. (0/2400), it's effect lets me destroy your Dark Swordsman!

Ace *thinking*: I feel strange. I feel more powerful! Maybe that last card has the power I need to win!

Zach: Well, I guess its time to end you.

Ace: What?

*Zach pulls out A Yin-Yang Necklace just like the one Riley has.*

Zach: You see, it's time I sent you to the Shadow Realm. Your soul will be destroyed if you lose!

Ace *thinking*: What? He has one of those necklaces too? I don't think losing is an option. So, I will win!

Ace: Well, looks like I won't be destroyed! You left your Castle in attack mode!

Zach: Your right, So I play this the quick-play spell card [soul Hunter], so I can change my Castle To Defense!

*Ace draws his final card*

Ace: Watch this! I play the spell card [True Sword]. I am allowed to tribute summon a monster by offering only 1 tribute! So welcome, Super Blade Swordsman! (0/0) He is destroyed at the end of the turn though.

Zach: Well, I guess you will be spending life in the Shadow Realm.

Ace: Guess again! My Swordsman gets 200 ATK points because he is on the field! (+200 ATK)

Zach: So What?

Ace: Your turn, and now my Swordsman is destroyed! But that's not all, you lose lifepoints equal to his attack points!

*Zach's lifepoints decrease to 0*

Zach: Well, You Won. I guess you passed the test then.

*Zach dissappears*

Ace *thinking*: What did he mean by that?

*Ace walks over and picks up the Yin-Yang Necklace.*

As I Said In The Statement before this episode, I will be using a new format for these episodes. They will be longer from now on, especially as the duels continue.

 

Episode 8: Double Duel

 

[Dustin and Riley Stared At Each Other. Dustin had his necklace on as well.]

 

“So” Riley Said. You also have a necklace. That just made things a lot more interesting.”

“Yes, I was given this necklace by a duelist named Shadow”

 

[Riley has a flashback from when he dueled Shadow before]

 

Riley “thinking to himself”: I remember Shadow! That was the guy who gave me these cards and this necklace! He must have used a different deck or something, because these cards he gave me are very powerful, and his cards weren’t.]

 

“Well Then” Riley said, Why are you here and what does all this have to do with me?

“All will be learned in due time. You see, Shadow gave lots of duelists better cards, but it’s the necklace that gives you the power. You and I are only a few of the duelists who got the items. Shadow will soon control the power of darkness, and use it to make the world whatever he wants it to be”.

“Hold On” Apparently something I said gave you the idea that I cared about all this “Shadow” business.

 

Riley “Once Again Thinking”: Oh! I remember dueling Crystal in that Shadow Game, and she lost. That wasn’t me that made that duel a Shadow Game”

 

“I know what you’re thinking here, you don’t understand how your duel was a Shadow Game. Allow me to explain. Shadow has much more power than you think, and with that necklace, he can control the powers of darkness.”

”So that’s what happened, Riley said. Fine. What’s done is done . I like having more power, but not if it hurts people, that was never my intention.”

“Well, that is Shadow’s intention, and It will happen.

“Not if I have anything to say about it!”

“Your too late now, you’ve already given into the shadows.”

 

[Ace walks up, along with Aero.]

 

“I disagree, Ace said.

“Who are you”

“Just a friend of Riley’s, and a duelist who can defeat you.”

”Well, lets just see about that shall we.”

 

Ace “thinking” I need to duel Riley as well. It’s Tag Team Time!

 

“I have a better idea. My friend and I will duel you and Riley !”

“Sounds good to me” Dustin said, “But, It will be a Shadow Game!”

 

[Dustin’s necklace begins to glow again, but this time is stopped by a light]

 

“What the”

“ I will duel, but not in a Shadow Game!” Said Riley.

 

[Riley stands up, light is flowing from the necklace]

 

“I may not have all control, but I can stop this from happening!”

 

Dustin “thinking”: How can he do that, he shouldn’t have that much power!

 

“He’s not the only one with a necklace” Ace Said

 

[Ace holds up the necklace he got from the duelist he defeated]

 

“Oh, so you have one too”, Dustin said, Its no matter, you can’t use the power of it. Sorry”

“I don’t need to, I can just break it!” [Ace breaks the necklace on the ground] and light streams out of it.] That’s one less person with a necklace to worry about!” Now lets duel!”

 

Duel!

 

Ace: Both teams will have 8000 combined lifepoints. I will go first, then Riley, followed by Aero, and then Dustin. Let’s do this! [Ace picks up the top card of his deck, making the total in his hand 6.] I Summon Warrior Of Zera in attack mode!

Ace: Next, I’ll play one face down card and end my turn!

Riley: I believe it’s my turn then. I play my Dragon Dwelling In The Cave In Defense Mode. Then, I play one card face-down. That ends my turn.

Aero: Well, I suppose I’ll play the spell card Pot Of Greed, so I can draw 2 more cards. Next, I Summon Red Eyes Black Chick in defense mode, then I play two face-down cards.

Dustin: My move. Now, you can see true power! I summon Archfiend Soldier in Attack Mode! Now, Soldier, attack Red Eyes Black Chick with Dark Sword!

Aero: Not so fast! Please welcome, Interdimensional Matter Transporter! I can remove my Red Eyes Black Chick from play, meaning your target disappears, and your attack is stopped.

Dustin: You got lucky this turn. I will play one card face-down and end my turn.

Ace: Now, it’s my turn.

Ace “thinking”: I hate not being able to use my new warrior cards here, but I’m going to be using Crystal’s cards as well, in an attempt to save Riley!

Ace: Watch this, I play Pot Of Greed. I can draw 2 cards now. Next, I play the Spell Card Sanctuary In The Sky! But that’s not all, now, I can sacrifice Warrior Of Zera to play Archlord Zerato! It doesn’t stop there! Now, I summon Duos Blade Swordsman in attack mode! First, I discard the Agent Of Judgement-Saturn, and destroy all of my opponent’s monsters! Next, Duos Blade Swordsman will attack Dustin directly!

Dustin: Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your attack did nothing.

Ace: I realize that. But, my monster gains 800 attack points now. Next, Zerato, attack Dustin directly!

Dustin and Riley’s points drop to 5200

Riley: Now, it’s my turn. I summon Luster Dragon 2 by tributing my Dragon Dwelling in the cave! Now, attack Duos Blade Swordsman.

[The dragon goes to attack, but is stopped just in time]

Ace: I play, Direct Strike! I can destroy your monster and we both lose 2400!

Ace & Aero’s points drop to 5600

Dustin and Riley’s points drop to 2800

Riley: Very well, I end my turn.

Aero: Now, my dragon returns, and I tribute him to summon Red Eyes Black Dragon!

Attack Dustin directly! Inferno Fire Blast!

Ok, Those Of You Who Read My Last Episode know that I am using a new format. This episode is a continuation of the last one, and the double duel will continue.

 

Episode 9: Double Duel Part 2!

 

Dustin and Riley’s points drop to 2800

Riley: Very well, I end my turn.

Aero: Now, my dragon returns, and I tribute him to summon Red Eyes Black Dragon!

Attack Dustin directly! Inferno Fire Blast!

Dustin and Riley’s points drop to 400

Dustin: You think you win? This is just getting started! It’s time to really duel now!

Dustin: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it is now my turn. It's time to show you what real dueling is all about. First off, I play my face-down card, Jar Of Greed. Now, I can draw 1 card. Now, I play the spell card Dark World Dealings! So, everyone draws a card, then discards one.

Ace: I send my Agent Of Force-Mars to the graveyard.

Aero: I discard Luster Dragon.

Riley: I discard my Spear Dragon.

Dustin: I'll send my Beige, Vanguard Of Dark World to The Graveyard.

Next, because he was discarded, I can Special Summon Beige back to the field! (1600/1300). Next, I summon Zure, Knight Of Dark World In Attack Mode. (1800/1500). It doesn't stop there! I play Riryoku, which allows me to split Zerato's attack in half. (Zerato's Attack-1400), then increase my Zure by that much! (Zure's Attack-3200) Now, Zure, attack Zerato!

Ace: Ok, but I lose no lifepoints because of my sanctuary!

Dustin: Now, Beige, attack his swordsman!

*Ace and Aero's lifepoints drop to 2000*

Dustin: I end my turn.

Ace: Well, I start mine! I summon The Agent Of Wisdom-Mercury (0/1700) in defense mode. Then, I play one card face-down.

Riley: Very well. I play Pot Of Greed, so I can draw 2 cards. Next, I'll use Polymerization To Fuse Lord Of Dragons With Divine Dragon Ragnarok, to summon King Dragun! (2400/1200). Next, I use it's effect to Special Summon Horus The Black Flame Dragon Level 6 (2300/1600) in attack mode!

Dustin: You fool, why don't you use the cards Shadow gave you!

Riley: Strong duelists don't use weak cards,so I got rid of em'!

Dustin: What! *This boy shouldn't be able to resist the powers of darkness! Could he be the chosen one* You can't!

Riley: Too late for that! I don't need Shadow's cards to win! I play the spell card Dragon Treasure on Red Eyes Black Dragon (Red Eyes Black Dragon's attack-2700) Now, Horus, Attack the Dragon!

*Riley and Dustin's lifepoints drop to 0*

Riley: *I'm now free of this spell and those cards! I finally realized who my friends are!* This necklace, I don't need it anymore!

Ace: Ya! We won! And it looks like to old Riley's back again!

Dustin: You won't get away with this!

Riley: I'm sorry guys, but allow me to fix this ok!

 

[Riley's necklace shines and Crystal's soul comes back to her body]

 

Riley: See, I used the power of balance to bring Crystal back. It's now time to stop Shadow, and that I'm gonna do!

[Riley is walking in the streets of Diamond City with Ace and Crystal, and they are discussing what had happened. A man walks up with a Duel Disk on his arm, with a kid walking next to him]

 

Riley: H...Hey....Thats Seto Kaiba!

Seto: Wow, your smart.

Riley: Whats that supposed to mean?

Seto: Exactly the opposite of what I said.

Riley: Are you talking to me?

Seto: No, I'm talking to the guy standing behind you.

 

[Riley turns around]

 

Riley: What Guy?

Seto: Wow. You are more stupid than you look, and you look stupid to begin with.

Riley: What did you say?

Seto: I have no need to repeat myself.

Ace: That's Riley, only caring about dueling, and not paying attention to anything else. *laughs*

Seto: Are we going to duel or what?

Riley: Huh?

Seto: I came here to duel you, so that's what were gonna do.

Riley: Fine, but I warn you, you will lose.

Ace: *thinking*: What does he think he's doing? There's no way Riley can defeat a pro like Seto Kaiba.

Crystal: You sure about this Riley?

Riley: Ya, why not? I'm back to normal, so why not have a duel?

Ace: Wow. What logic.

Mokuba: Well, are you guys gonna duel or what?

 

[Duel]

 

Riley: I'll go first. I Summon Troop Dragon in defense mode (800). Next, I'll play one face-down card and end my turn.

Seto: Well, a decent move for a duelist like you, but watch this. I summon Kaiser Sea Horse in attack mode. (1700). Now, I play the spell card, Mystical Space Typhoon, which lets me destroy your face-down card.

Riley: Not so fast, I will activate the card, it's Jar Of Greed. So even though you are going to destroy it, I still can draw 1 card.

Seto: *shrugs* No big deal. Now, Kaiser Sea Horse, use your Slash Sword Attack and destroy his Troop Dragon!

 

[The Troop Dragon is destroyed, but another one appears on the field]

 

Riley: Sorry Kaiba, but you activated my dragon's effect when you destroyed it. I'm allowed to Special Summon another one from my deck. So Troop Dragon, defense mode. (800).

Seto: Fine. I'll end my turn with one face-down card.

Riley: That all? Watch this move! *I wonder why Kaiba wanted to duel me in the first place. This just seems random. Maybe it's a test of some kind, like I have to win or something. Who knows? Well, I just have to give it my all!* Ok, I tribute my Troop Dragon to Summon Lesser Fiend in attack mode. (2100) Now, my fiend, attack his Kaiser Sea Horse with Energy Cannon!

[Kaiba's lifepoints drop to 3600]

Kaiba: You activated my trap when you destroyed my Sea Horse. It's called Michizure. So when you destroy one of my monsters, I'm allowed to destroy one monster on your side of the field.

Riley: Fine, but your Sea Horse is removed from play.

Seto: It doesn't matter, I will still win this game.

 

Mokuba: Come on Seto, you can win this duel.

Ace: Suprisingly, Riley isn't doing bad at all.

 

Riley: I will end with one face-down card.

Seto: Fine. I summon Kaibaman in attack mode. (200) It has a special effect though. I can tribute it to Special Summon A Blue Eyes White Dragon from my hand. Prepare to meet one of the strongest duel monsters! Blue Eyes White Dragon, in attack mode! (3000).

Riley: Uh-Oh.

Seto: Now, attack with White Lightning!

Now, I play the spell card United We Stand, which makes my dragon's attack 3600!

Seto: What? *he managed to get a monster out with higher attack than my dragon. Maybe he is the chosen duelist?

Riley: You know whats up next! Twin Headed Thunder Dragon, attack the Blue Eyes White Dragon with Twin Thunder!

*Seto's lifepoints drop to 3000*

Riley: Now, I'll play two-cards face-down and end my turn.

Seto: My turn. Now, I play Pot Of Greed! I can draw 2 cards with it's effect. So watch this. I play the spell card Premature Burial! By paying 800 lifepoints, I can get my Blue Eyes White Dragon back!

*Seto's lifepoints drop to 2200*

Seto: Now, I'll play Polymerization! Look Familiar? I fuse my Blue Eyes with the two Blue Eyes' in my hand, and Summon Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon! (4500) Attack his Twin Headed Thunder Dragon! Neutron Blast!

*Riley's lifepoints drop to 3100*

Riley: Wow. What a shot!

Ace: How is Riley going to defeat such a powerful monster?

Seto: Yes. I am wondering the same thing! I play the spell card De-Fusion! Now, I get three Blue Eyes To The Field! (3000) (3000) (3000)

Ace: The dragons can attack now, and Riley is wide open!

Seto: Finish him off!

Riley: You know what that means!

Ace: What a Shot!

Crystal: You got that right!

Mokuba: How could Seto not see that coming?

Seto: Fine. I play 1 face-down. Go.

Riley: My turn! And your open for a Direct Attack! I play Graceful Charity! So I can draw 3 cards and discard 2. But I play my trap, Disgraceful Charity, so I can return them to my hand! Now, I play Fusion Recovery! So I get back a Thunder Dragon along with Polymerization! Now, I use Polymerization, fusing Lord Of Dragons with Divine Dragon Ragnarok, to summon King Dragun! (2400) Now, I Use His Effect To Special Summon Horus, The Black Flame Dragon Lvl. 6! (2300)

Ace: It looks like Kaiba is going to lose!

Mokuba: Come on Seto, you have to win this!

Riley: Well. This was fun, but all good things must end. So Attack King Dragun!!!

Seto: Not so fast!
