blackdragon master
My new fanmade archetype "Neutron" is here. They are LIGHT monsters based on a neutron star and the neutron particle. They work against DARK monsters. The sub-archetype, "Neutron Force" are Extra Deck monsters of "Neutron". The monster "Genex Neutron" is not part of this archetype. JairoLeyn100
I like the theme of this Archetype, along with it's playstyle. I honestly was caught out of guard when I read some of these cards' effects also invlove monsters from the "Blue-Eyes" Archetype (considering the fact that some of these effects involve Level 8 LIGHT monsters, besides the "Blue-Eyes"). Too bad most of the cards don't have images, I would have loved to see what kind of appearance you'd have imagined for them. Oh one more thing, next time you should write the text in the "effect box" right below the card, so everyone could read it clearly. Probably you decided to just increase the card's size, so it could be readable, but it still... "Neutron Force Star Raider" is an example of what I'm talking about. While I like the fact that this Archetype is effective against others with DARK monsters, it won't be same when confronting one that does not invovle DARK monsters or has just a few of them; but maybe you can counter this flaw by using the Continuous Trap card "DNA Transplant", unless you want to risk having your monsters change from LIGHT to DARK. Overall, I like this Archetype's playstyle and theme. It kinda reminds me of the "Ice Barrier" Archetype (because of the effects of the Effect monsters). It would really make my favourite "Red-Eyes" playstyle a run for it's money.
Darj
I find strange to declare that an existing card is not part of the archetype, instead of, for example, using a different word for the archetype. Besides, it would be a problem if more "Neutron" cards are released in the future. Reminds me of the case of "Arsenal Summoner", which excludes a handful of "Guardian" cards but not any released after its creation. Anyway, I see too many cards, you can't possibly need them all for a functional archetype, even less if you may want multiple copies of the most important or better ones. Not to mention staples taking deck space as well. At first glance, from these... I would at least run Charger, Wyvern, Speck, Satellite, maybe 1~2 Lancer and Bouncer for extending plays. Then test the Pendulums to see which ones I can feasibly Pendulum Summon. That's at least 14 monsters already. The rest of the monsters are pretty much filler IMO, or funny techs in Blue-Eyes decks, IDK. From the Spell/Traps, I would run Galaxy, Stream, Burst, and Decay. And I would be careful about running copies of Stream and Burst because they are conditional and they may end up as ugly dead draws. This would be less of a problem if there was an effect to search Neutron Spell/Traps, making things go more smoothly by searching the better Neutron Spell for the situation while getting them out of the Deck, but unless I'm missing it, there is no such effect. Like with the monsters, the rest of the Spell/Traps are unreliable and situational. Good for certain situations, but if such situations don't happen, they may as well be dead cards. I would rather run staples or meta calls instead. As for the Extra Deck monsters, some are cool but also expensive to Summon by requiring 3 materials. Personally I would rather go for more flexible staples that can help me push my game before investing 3 monsters on one of them. The only ones I find good are Jolt Master and Network Breaker on the off-chance I get 4 Neutrons on board and go for the big boss. Funnily enough, Decay is an archetype Crush Card Virus but better. And I see what you did with Wave Pulse, the effect is strikingly similar to Decode Talker's.
blackdragon master
JairoLeyn100, thank you for the comments and feedback. I was going to write out the effects, but it would've taken too long and I was having trouble with uploading a few of them. I made this archetype to help the "Blue-Eye" archetype. I drew inspiration from the "Photon" and "D/D and D/D/D" archetypes.
blackdragon master
Darj, thank you for the comments and the feedback. I didn't want the archetype to be overpowered. I agree that some of the Extra Deck monsters are too hard to summon, but then again no one has to use all of the monsters. It was meant to help the "Blue-Eyes" archetype. I can also help the "Galaxy-Eyes" and "Photon" archetypes as well. I appreciate the feedback and use it when I create my next fanmade archetype.
