My first card using the new beta system and the first in a new archetype I'm creating, "Neutron".

Machine/Pendulum/Effect

Blue Scale: 9/Red Scale: 9

ATK: 1500/DEF: 0

Pendulum Effect: You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except LIGHT monsters. Once, while this card is in your Pendulum Zone, you can change Level of 1 "Neutron" monster you control to Level 8 until your End Phase.

Monster Effect: If you control a "Neutron" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). When this card is destroyed in battle and you took damage: Add 1 LIGHT monster from your Deck to your hand.

Looks like a solid member for an archetype, and the float can pick any LIGHT monster so it has splashability potential, despite the impracticality of the condition. I would have to see the rest of the members to determine how good this is. For instance, I have no clue how would they benefit from turning one of their monsters into a Level 8. Also, note that "Genex Neutron" would become a member, which could be a problem when it comes to flavor as it belongs to an archeype already, and one tied to the Duel Terminal storyline.

Based on this card's Pendulum Scale and its Pendulum Effect, I'd hazard a guess at them having 1 Level 8 monster and multiple lower level monsters for some sort of Rank 8 Xyz plays. Unless of course, the other side of the Pendulum turns out to have an effect to turn things into Tuners, which would make for a powerful Synchro engine.

Yeah, it could be for Rank 8 plays, or high-Level Synchro plays, that much can be inferred. But as of now, without any other archetype members, it can't be known how good the effect is, or if they even need it if they have better plays to do.
