^^lucky, I'm really short. I know that if I ever told anyone that I play Yugioh, I would probably get beaten up every day. My community is so competitive in everything and everyone epects everyone else to conform. Sometimes I wish people could just handle the truth.

However, no one in my school knows, and I manage to keep a likeable facade on at all times. So i'm safe for now.....

Some people think Yu-Gi-Oh! is not good for older people. I ignore rude comments (everyone should walk away). I don't know who owns Yu-Gi-Oh! cards where I live, but I play it and collect it by myself.

I would ignore fighting with people because: it makes the situation worse, I hate violence, I am very small in size (I am half the size of most people), and I can get hurt.

You choose whether your too old for Yu-Gi-Oh!, not others. Be strong.

People make fun of those play Yu-Gi-Oh because as LittleKuriboh put many a time in his videos, it is a "Children's Card Game". 4kids has some to blame in this as when they give the episodes they edit out the "Bad-Bits" as they probably think it as. An example of this is the "Invisible Gun" joke. Another example is during the arch of "Waking the Dragons" for one of the antagonist's past, a gang was burning down a church which was edited out in the American version. In yugioh 5D's, during Episode 7, it shows Gambling & Alcohol in an antagonists past in the episode.

What I am getting at is how their is nothing truly "Dark", "Sinister" to the American Audience, which makes 1/2 say "This is sooo a nerd game" and the other 1/2 says "I so want to play that!". If you ever watched the Toei version of Yu-Gi-Oh, it has what I would consider "Dark & Sinister", as roughly only 3-4 times in a 26 Ep series contains "Card Game Dueling", the rest is more set on reality which made the series what it was, "EPIC" and still better then the curtain episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh, as it had contained not just card game dueling but what the essence, the sting of REALITY was.

What is currently shown is what gives the bullies their "Fuel", as they don't see anything interesting in people playing cards all the time, they would rather watch Metalocalypse to satisfy their "Hunger".

Some people don't care. Some people say you STILL play Yu-Gi-Oh!?!? This one kid said that I will never get a girlfriend if I keep playing. Which I'm sure is not true. Many people here have had girlfriends. http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/295165 See what I mean?

quote 4 emphasis... also i taught my girl how to play and got her a deck...

and what do you mean "i'm too old for yu-gi-oh?" i'm also too old for videogames and no one criticize me for playing...

I'm a freshman at uni this year, and I'm surprised at how many people still play.

There are at least two senior students in my uni club that are duelists, and one OB who is currently working in Toyota lol.

Also, after visiting large card stores, I've noticed that most people there are high schoolers or above. Heck, there's a businessman who comes to the store every Friday after work, buys a box of boosters, and hands out cards he doesn't need to young kids.

I've even met a 60 year old duelists at another store. He mainly collects, but still owns a Gadget deck.
