Battlesaur Galaxytar

LIGHT/Dinosaur/Effect/Level 8

2800/1000

(This card is also always treated as a "Photon" and "Starliege" card.)

During the Main Phase or Battle Phase, if you control no monsters (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is Special Summoned: Negate the effects of all other face-up monsters on the field until the end of this phase, also immediately after this effect resolves, this card must declare an attack on an opponent's monster, if able (even if it is not the Battle Phase). If this card is destroyed by an opponent's card: You can Special Summon 1 "Galaxy", "Photon" or "Starliege" Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck, and if you do, attach this card to it as material. It cannot attack, and your opponent's monsters must attack it, if able. You can only use each effect of "Battlesaur Galaxytar"once per turn.

Posting this on casual because I don't know how much of a problem a Level 8 extender can be, also the experimental battling effect. Made this mostly on a whim when the silly name came into my mind, and decided to go for Galaxy-Photon support. Also it's a Dinosaur for Dino decks, for whatever use they find for it.

Thoughts?

The card has 3 tiny details to correct in the wording, imo. Following Raider's Wing structure, it's missing "This card" and "always", unless it was your intention to apply the effect only while in the field or something similar, which I doubt is the case. (This card is also always treated as a "Photon" and "Starliege" card.)  would be the way to go, I think. Next would be the part that obliges you to battle. That kind of effect probably needs "also, immediately after this effect resolves". Honestly, the only card with that exact wording I can think of of Mischief of the Time Goddess, but well, there's one xD. Finally, Xyz Material  -> material. There's one extra thing you might want to consider, which is Trishula Zero's wording. I've always loved how it condenses the two kinds of destruction by saying "Is destroyed by an opponent's card". In Trish's case, it requires to be Synchro Sumoned and in the control's owner, but that's just the mob's specifications.

Honestly, the effect seems a bit scary, though the no monster condition balances it a little, and there are ways around it. Also, the passive I'm destroyed, I SS effect is probably the determining factor for this card to not be OP). I just keep thinking of smearing this boi's face against a BEWD stats monster, taking minimal damage and summoning Superdimensional Robot Galaxy Destroyer, cleaning your opponent's backrow, then waiting for your opponent to either prepare to smash themselves against a gigantic 5000 ATK wall or keep everything in Defense Position. Of course, using Lord Galaxion, Galaxy Stealth Dragon or Photon Blast Dragon seems like the typical combo, pretty potent, but possibly nothing other strategies seen before cannot achieve, so all in all I daresay the card is realistic enough.

I'm pretty sure this is a quick effect summon since you say "the" and not "your"? If so this is really strong and even if it isn't I think there should be an cost to summon on top of the condition (even something like discard a card), make the condition more restrictive like "and your opponent controls 3 or more monsters?", or even make the floating effect not work the turn it is summoned?

I love the idea of interrupting your opponent by just battling one of their combo pieces during their main phase after you negated all the effects already on field, and Rayfield seems to think this is balanced so who knows?

Awesome corrections, thanks a lot! I will fix the text later.

Yes, the Summon is intended to be a Quick Effect. I would say the condition of no monsters keeps it on check but IDK since it also is a sort of watered down "Ruler no More". My goal of this card is to be as an extender, and as a Dinosaur inspired on Pankratops, a board breaker and disruption that can be live even when going 2nd.
