Tinkerer
So. Uh, Fleur de Lis’s new form from Dawn of Majesty needs to be renamed. First of, we will be, from this point on, be referring to 妖眼の相剣師 “Swordmaster of the Illusory Iris” (Ayame no Soukenshi) as “Xiangjian Swordmaster of the Illusory iris”. This is due to 相剣 being a theme name in this set. While the latter part is obviously Sword, 相 can refer to a variety of things such as Elemental Wheels, to Destiny, to Teaching. So very loaded word, and with the Chinese influences of this group, we’ll be using a Chinese sounding name. BODE-JP003 Soukenshi – Bakuya (Mo Ye, the Xiangjian Swordmaster) Level 4 WATER Wyrm Effect Monster ATK 1700 DEF 1800 You can only use this card name’s 1st and 2nd effects each once per turn. (1) If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can reveal 1 “Xiangjian” card or 1 Wyrm monster in your hand; Special Summon 1 “Xiangjian Token” (Wyrm/Tuner/WATER/Level 4/ATK 0/DEF 0). While that Token is on the field, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Synchro Monsters. (2) If this card is sent to the GY as Synchro Material: You can draw 1 card. BODE-JP004 Soukenshi – Taia (Tai A, the Xiangjian Swordmaster) Level 4 WIND Wyrm Effect Monster ATK 1800 DEF 1500 You can ony use this card name’s 1st and 2nd effects each once per turn. (1) You can banish 1 “Xiangjian” card or 1 Wyrm monster from your GY; Special Summon 1 “Xiangjian Token” (Wyrm/Tuner/WATER/Level 4/ATK 0/DEF 0). While that Token is on the field, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Synchro Monsters. (2) If this card is sent to the GY as Synchro Material: You can send 1 “Xiangjian” card or 1 Wyrm monster from your Deck to the GY. BODE-JP005 Souken Gunshi – Ryuuen (Long Yuan, the Xiangjian Tactician) Level 6 FIRE Wyrm Effect Monster ATK 1200 DEF 2300 You can only use this card name’s 1st and 2nd effects each once per turn. (1) You can discard 1 other “Xiangjian” card or Wyrm monster; Special Summon this card from your hand, then you can Special Summon 1 “Xiangjian Token” (Wyrm/Tuner/WATER/Level 4/ATK 0/DEF 0). While that Token is on the field, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Synchro Monsters. (2) If this card is sent to the GY as Synchro Material: You can inflict 1200 damage to your opponent. BODE-JP006 Souken Zuijuu – Junkin (Chun Jun, the Xiangjian Auspicious Beast) Level 6 EARTH Wyrm Effect Monster ATK 2400 DEF 1800 You can only use this card name’s 1st and 3rd effects each once per turn. Dokutah
Ooooo wyrm stuff, me likey Kinda weird that illussiory Iris become part of the archetype, but it does work with Chi Xiao since iris dont care which side the negated monster is on and her effects provide good generic advantage. Note though the special from hand option is the least optimize since only 2 of 5 main deck stuff has quick/on summon effect and its very defensive oriented Unlike the last archetype i post these guys are actually good at generic advantage design, all the mains other than Chun Jun provide their tuner and all of main monster proc advantage when use as sync material (except Long Yuan, but that guy is 2 card combo to summon the biggest boss by itself) Chi Xiao either fetch advantage, enable Iris, or extend to Duke (or maybe level 12 synchro?) Duke is a beast, it can create quite wide stat gap, protect itself multiple times while extend for latter turns, and pretty much discount trishula that even self trigger Almost all the spell/trap is good stuff that gets better while control synchro and wryms has not much problem popping their own card. Special mention though to Appears and Research, Appears is main effect is good but the level modulation kinda wonky? It does help making level 7-11 synch and its much preferable card to banished on opponent turn if they have multiple destruction that fizzle the tokens. Research is bad, its too slow to proc tokens out, you out-match the stat game better anyway with duke so its brick outside the token making effect
Tinkerer
I guess the most distinctive aspect in how the deck works is its simple, powerful combos. Mo Ye into the Level 8 is pretty obvious, but something like Trap Trick into Sudden Shift also sounds really good. You get your free token from the banish effect, then you get a copy of sudden shift and can use the token to destroy 2 opponent cards. EDIT: Since you're using Tokens, you should also get a bit of benefit from mixing these with Tenyi. The level 7 Tenyi are especially good, but they're an awkward level to use for Synchros. I guess it's pretty convenient that you can use the banish effects of the spells to make the high Level Tenyi into usable Synchro materials, huh? Dokutah
So apparently this archetype and Icejade i posted is part of Albaz Saga, so prepare for power synergy with albaz stuff (or maybe dogmatika stuff?)

And you're correct, it's surprising how well the combo Tenyi + Mare Mare Sadly i stop him/her mid combo, due to noticing him/her doing illegal move (SS'ing Mare Mare using Xiangjianmen the Grand Spiritual Peak), nonetheless, the archetype has potential imo
