Depends on the game. If it's an RPG, then it could last a while. And if that RPG has bonuses once you beat it (like the Tales series), it can last even longer. For example, I beat Final Fantasy VI in about a week, and put down after that and haven't played it since. I beat Tales of the Abyss for the first time about a year ago, and since then, I've beaten it more with bonuses you get after beating the game. Right now, I'm on my 4th playthrough.
