I just wanted to know how to become a mod. Do you get asked by ycmaker or what?

Yes you get asked by YCMaker and one way of becoming Mod is actually not saying you want to be one is a tip (I'm not saying you are saying you want to be one just a tip)

You apply in the Mod Application thread then you justwait and relax. Be as you always are on the Forum. I believe YCMaker would contact you if he thinks you are worthy. But never go saying things like "When's the Mods going to be chosen!?" Or "I want to be a Mod so bad!"

Adding on to Spirit of D.M.G.,

Don't put things like "The next GFX Mod" because that's generally annoying and you may be dissapointed if you don't get it.

Also, Just a pattern I've seen in Mod selection. Older members=Mods because they are wiser, more of a reputation, usually respected and know how to treat other members.

Ok this should be locked and here is my answer.

 

There are 4 ways to become a mod.3 definate 1 unsure.

 

1.For YCMaker to choose you personally

 

2.Apply in the aplication thread.

 

3.If a super mod promotes you

 

4(Unsure).If a mod quits and tells YCMaker or a super to make that guy a mod of that section and then to strip the mod of his powers.

 

There are MANY ways to NOT Be a Mod but i will list 3

1.To complain

2.To spam

3.To get negged alot.

That isnt true.Many new members are just like the oldies they know how to treat others,they are respected,they may not have a high rep but honestly if you were to eliminate spam reps,contest pos,ect. even DJ would have a low rep(If you also take away the ones saying gratz on bein mod)
