josho55
hi I have recently found my old cards and have noticed some have an A before the number what does this mean? eg. book of secret arts sdy-A021
Horu
The A is the language the card is printed in. Although, older cards didn't have that marker. I have cards from SDY and none of them have that. But a lot of newer cards have them. I know starting from the Dragon's Roar Structure Deck and maybe a little earlier, you'll see SD1-EN001 for example. This indicates that the card was printed in English. SD1-JP001 indicates that the card was printed in Japanese. https://yugioh.fandom.com/wiki/Card_layout According to this, early sets had a single letter before the number as a regional indicator. So the A could likely mean your card is from Australia or Asia. I'd have to see the card in question to actually tell you.
Tinkerer
I answered this in another of his topics. The "A" means it is an Australian copy.
