Atypical-Abbie
I didn't think much of these when the first came out, too few members, seemed a bit hard to play without more, but now we got a decent amount, so yay! DP25-JP034 Lyrical Luscinia – Beryl Canary (Lyrilusc – Beryl Canary) Level 1 WIND Winged Beast Effect Monster ATK 0 DEF 200 You can only use the 1st effect of this card’s name once per turn. (2) When an opponent’s monster declares an attack on your “Lyrilusc” monster: You can banish this card from your GY; your battling monster’s ATK becomes the same as that opponent’s monster’s, until the end of this turn. The Highlander
Interesting to say the least. Their Spell/Trap support seems fairly average, although I guess Lyrilusc – Bird Sanctuary is good, considering Lyrilusc - Recital Starling can search Lyrilusc – Beryl Canary, which then gives back the 2 materials used for the summon of Recital Starling, which can then be attached to another Lyrilusc Xyz (like Assembly Nightingale or Lyrilusc – Ensembl(u)e Robin), which then enables the draw from Lyrilusc – Bird Sanctuary. Lyrilusc – Ensembl(u)e Robin looks quite good, considering that with the targeting protection from Cobalt Sparrow (which can be revived via Lyrilusc – Beryl Canary to get it on both) Assembly Nightingale shuts down targeting and destruction via battle or effects, all while Lyrilusc – Ensembl(u)e Robin can use the not even soft-once per turn restricted bouncing effect to prevent the opponent from getting anything on the field past their Normal Summon (given how few Pendulum decks are even remotely tolerable in terms of their power level). Lyrilusc – Celeste Wagtail also adding access to Lyrilusc – Bird Sanctuary to stack more Xyz materials, while having an once per turn re-attachment effect to keep re-filling Assembly Nightingale and/or Ensembl(u)e Robin, is rather good. ~British Soul~
The first effect of the trap reminds me of Zeroth Dragon of the End of the World Dusk's effect from CFV who also reduced the stats of everything your opponent has to 1. What I find amusing though is even though the set description for Synchro Storm mentions you can combine Lyrilusc with Tri-Brigade, yet Canary locking you into Xyz kinda fudges that. At least Ensemblue Robin could find a home in thst deck.
Thomas★Zero
Thanks to the fact they now have 5 main deck monsters and 4 different Xyz's, Lyrilusc looks like its turning into a fully functioning archetype, specially with Bird Sancuary enabling their material stacks.
