DAMA-JP064 二量合成 Dimer Synthesis
Normal Spell Card
You can only use this card name’s 1st and 2nd effects once per turn each.
(1) Activate 1 of these effects.
● Add 1 “Catalyst Field” from your Deck to your hand.
● Add 1 “Burnout” and 1 “Chemicritter” monster from your Deck to your hand.
(2) You can banish this card from your GY, then target 2 face-up monsters you control, including at least 1 Gemini monster that is treated as an Effect Monster and has gained its effects; until the end of this turn, change the ATK of 1 monster to 0, and if you do, the other monster gains ATK equal to the original ATK of the first monster.

Konami acts strange, you would think their strategy would be to support their Archetypes over time, rather than waiting for almost 5 years, but here we are! It's a searcher, but like a pretty good one, and you get an extra effect to boot. I didn't really play much of these, which is sad, because really, Gemini monsters are fun, but now that they get some new support, it may be their time to shine.

Considering Terraforming was at 3 for quite a bit of the time Catalyst Field was around, it makes sense that it needed a new searcher.  Being forced to search Burnout alongside the Chemicritter kinda sucks, but Burnout isn't the worst thing in the world now that you're guaranteed to actually have a usable target.

It really feels weird that they seem to be pushing Chemicritter to be a control deck.  I mean, I suppose it always was one, and now they've got some actually consistent advantage generation between this card and Crab, but they still need stuff to slow down the opponent's plays during their turn else the deck just gets run over.  They can't use Mystic Mine, but I suppose "There Can Be Only One" can work in the deck?  I hope they get a Rank 2 or a Link to fill that slowdown role.

Can't comment how helpful this is in other Gemini strats, but I would imagine it can't hurt.
