Therealnoobmaster2001
Hey everyone, I've decided to do a series of retrains where I update previously bad cards and improve on them. Todays card is Worm Prince. Worm Prince [Reptile/Effect] Level 6 LIGHT When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can add 1 Reptile "Worm" monster from your Deck to your hand. During your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon 1 "Worm" monster, except "Worm Prince", in addition to your Normal Summon/Set (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) Gains 100 ATK for each Reptile "Worm" monster in your GY. ATK/2200 DEF/

Pommelo
Hey @Therealnoobmaster2001, long time no see! Let's have a look... Alrighty, let's polish the card grammar a little, ok? n.n Quote When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can add 1 Reptile "Worm" monster from your Deck to your hand. Double Normal Summon is always handy, and it's also great that you sent to the GY that annoying clause that could auto-destroy the Prince. It won't leave a great mark in the meta, as you can imagine, but at least is good news for the ever difficult to run Worm archetype. To go a little further with the much needed increase in power of this card, I'd recommend allowing the extra Normal Summon to also allow a Normal Set. What I used is the correct formula monsters that allow multiple Normal Summons use, but you can modify it a little by saying You can Normal Summon/Set 1 "Worm monster... etc. Needless to say, Normal Summon is not equal to Normal Set, and as it is, you can't use the new Prince's effect to Set those FLIP monsters. Maybe, then, you could even give this card a last effect that allows you to immediately FLIP face down monsters you control when it leaves the field, but that's up to you, the adequations you made are already good. Thanks for the response. I've made the changes. Just a quick question, in terms of card grammar is there some place that gives the proper grammar for cards, I've noticed that my card grammar is usually wrong. Just a quick question, in terms of card grammar is there some place that gives the proper grammar for cards, I've noticed that my card grammar is usually wrong. Ooof, well, the problem is that PSCT is in constant evolution, so it happens once in a while that Konami finds methods that are simpler but also clearer to understand and that don't cause controversy. Grammatically (as in, the use of comma, colon, semi-colon, etc) it shouldn't change anymore, there's mostly evolution in the terms. Due to this, there is no ultimate guide with every possible example of each kind of effect in existence, but I can direct you to two guides that should prove helpful, and one is right here in YCM. https://www.cardmaker.net/forums/topic/322020-ocgpsct-tutorial-learn-how-to-write-your-cards-properly/ This one is extreeeeemely long, but it's one of the most complete you'll find out there.
