I haven't really designed a plot yet, but here are most of the heroes and villains.

The Story

The year is 2015. Virtual reality has appeared, and so has a new game, Amun-Ra. Rumors also spread that there is a secret magic hidden in the game. Emerald, Topaz and Ruby are chosen to partake in a tournament to test out the new Virtual Reality system for Amun-Ra. The winner fills in the open spot in the Elite Eight and wins two million dollars. Unfortunately, an awakened god, Lord Yddisac, and his God Hunters have other plans. One of the prizes is an ancient artifact, and Emerald and his friends must survive till the end of the tournament.

Emerald

Rash and arrogant (as most heroes like him are)Emerald wishes to become an Elite Eight- eight of the greatest Amun-Ra players on the planet. Amun-Ra is a game that is kind of like a professional sport- it requires physical strength, strategy and boldness.

Topaz

Emerald's love interest- is beautiful, witty and cunning. Daughter of one of the Elite Eight.

Ruby

Is Emerald's best friend. Shy and a good Amun-Ra player, Ruby Carbuncle is secretly the alter-ego of the Dread God Splice.

The God Hunters

Lead by Lord Yddisac, the God Hunters are one of the most dangerous groups on the planet. Seeking to take over the Elite Eight, and by using the powers of different artifacts, the God Hunters seek to destroy human civilization and rebuild a Paradise for themselves on the ruins.

Lord Yddisac

The leader of the God Hunters. Is secretly an evil god sealed away by the Egyptian God Ra, but accidently released when Emerald's father lead an archaelogical expedition. Wishing to annihilate the human race and establish his dream of eternal Elysium, Yddisac won't let anyone stand in his way.

The Dread Gods

A band of evil gods released from the Underworld by Yddisac. Led by the twisted Dread God Splice, the Dread Gods will sing the song of Eternal Apocalypse till the end.

Everyone knows Elysia is SO superior to Earth anyway. God Hunters pwn, even if it is an obtuse reference.

Emerald walked down the concrete sidewalk to a large glass dome. ``Well, this is it!'' he said. Opening the doors, Emerald entered the stadium. Two people were standing facing eachother.

(Note: The format is inspired by Warmyst: World of War, just to warn you if it's similar)

Emerald had paid good money to get into one of the top seats to see the final competition between Count Jackal and Ace Hornet in the Official Championships.

Count Jackal: Ha! My Knight of Dark Shadows shall destroy your Cyber Warrior easily!

Ace Hornet: You forgot that since my Cyber Warrior is in Neutral Territory, you can't attack me unless you move your Knight there!

Count Jackal: Ha! That shall be easily remedied! I move my Warlord of Zombies to D6! Now he is in range of the rest of my Army! Now your Cyber Warrior has no choice but to engage in battle?

BATTLE STAGE

Cyber Warrior exploded in a hail of shadows.

Count Jackal: Ha! You can't beat me now!

Emerald: Uh oh! But this isn't the first time Ace Hornet has snatched victory from the jaws of defeat!

Ace Hornet: Thank you, Jackal.

Count Jackal: W-what?

Ace Hornet: You've just played right into my hand!

TO BE CONTINUED...

I have to sign off now, didn't have much time.

Whoopies, another thing I inspired! I'm a lot better than I thought at this kind of thing...

Anyway, kudos to good opening. I note your punctuation's a bit off, but that can be easily remedied. I assume the opening theme would play at the end of that blurb.
