Phelphor, of the Deep
Dim'meer, Continuing Storm Strider WATER Level 7 effect Winged-Beast monster If you control a level 6 or higher DARK and/or WATER monster, this card's level reduced by 1 while this card is in your hand. You can Special Summon this card from your hand by banishing 5 cards from your hand and/or card(s) your opponent's GY. This monster can not be destroyed by battle or card effects. This monster can not declare an attack unless you control 3 or more WATER monsters and/or DARK monsters. If any card(s) of your opponent is banished, shuffle the banished card(s) into the deck then send the top 2 cards of your opponent's deck to the GY for each card shuffled into the deck by this card's effect. Simping For Hina
You wanted someone to comment. Sure, I'll take up that role. However, just a forewarning: I haven't played since OTK Blue Eyes was a deck, probably about a year+ ago. So, many of my thoughts will just be related to the potential of this card and how it operates on a theoretical metric. I know the game and plenty about power level. I know nothing about the current environment. I like this card in concept: There are many conditions that it tries to meet, but it supplements that with being also a tool that can take from the opponent's game plan. At least with the summoning condition of the card. I think, though, that it is just underpowered for what it does. As I mention, there are a lot of conditions the card has to meet and it doesn't seem worth it to meet those conditions. Trying to fill up the front row, even with Pendulums and engines, is still not easy on an attribute-front without archetype support. So, trying to meet those conditions for this card seem like a step backwards for trying to have space in the deck for this card. Another issue is the point of attacking: The damage output is not enough for the conditions this card has to meet. The change in Level could be added to, to even meet the six star condition desired. Just reduce the number by the difference. Now, if there is something I am missing, it would be cool to know that. Like I said, I don't know much of the current format. Even for the archetype I am considering, Gishki, this doesn't do much to benefit the deck. Seems more like an ace monster from an anime than anything worthwhile. It is a cool beater concept, nothing more than that. It disrupts the opponent at the loss of playing this card, just to summon it. That is situational, seems good against HEROes to some degree. But the elements this card focuses on, support in battle, are not something that promote active game play. And just to do that doesn't seem like enough. It does fuel the type of deck this would be good in, though. That is cool. Self-mill. Dark Worlds-esque. Do you have any designer notes on the card? Phelphor, of the Deep
The card will be intended in a future dimir archetype that focuses on tapping monsters to mill opponent out of the minds also their decks.
Simping For Hina
Then, I would think the next step to focus on is the engine pieces. If we're thinking of Dimir, I am looking at cards like Glimpse the Unthinkable and Hedron Crab.
Dokutah
i think this card does a bit too much of everything might as well you made and archetype of it (side note i think you can name them Dimir as well) and focus on 1 among the famous keywords of the Dimir like Transmute, Chiper, Surveil (Chiper is kinda interesting to recreate in yugioh mechanic though) that being said most of these cards effect is okay...i guess? i doesn't really goes everywhere but still. the only problem i see is the summon effect of banishing opponent GY since that is pretty devastating effect given by nature Banish in yugioh while not as final as MTG exile is still much more punishing than the latter
