The Sinister Mages are a band of magical beings roaming the stars and unleashing their will on whatever they want. This is a whole new deck type i created; its balanced so i believe its good, but not too good. The main stradegies of the Deck type involve Spell Counters, Multi-summoning, and linking together of cards to create massive combos at the cost of lifepoints mitigated by the ever-useful "Star" field Spells.

The Dark sinister mages involve hidden effects to hurt your opponent and stay on the field just long enough to be fused into Argo, a card that links both light and dark for control of the duel.

 

Sinister Mage-Carina

(Lv. 2-DARK-Spellcaster/Effect) 1500 ATK/ 0 DEF

Flip: Pay 500 lifepoints. When this card is flipped face-up, its original ATK is doubled. This card is not destroyed as a result of battle. This card is destroyed during the controller's next End Phase after this card is flipped face-up.

Sinister Mage-Puppis

(Lv. 2-Dark-Spellcaster/Effect) 0 ATK/1000 DEF

Flip: Pay 500 lifepoints. Change the battle position of 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field (flip effects are not activated at this time). Then activate one of the following effects depending on how the monster's position was changed:-Attack to Defense: negate 1 battle this monster is involved with.-Defense to Attack: This card's controller gains 800 lifepoints.

Sinister Mage-Vela

(Lv. 2-Dark-Spellcaster/Effect) 750 ATK/750 DEF

Flip: Pay 500 lifepoints to Special Summon one Lv. 3 or lower spellcaster-type monster from your Graveyard in either face-up Attack position or face-down Defense position. When this card is involved in a battle, you can pay 500 lifepoints to negate the battle and flip this card face-down.

Argo the Star Carrier

(Lv.10-DARK-Spellcaster/Fusion/Effect) 0 ATK/ 3500 DEF

"Sinster Mage Vela" + "Sinister Mage-Carina"+ "Sinister Mage-Puppis"

This card can only be Fusion Summoned by returning the Fusion-Material monsters from the field to the owner's hand. This card is unaffected by your opponent's card effects. This card gains 1000 ATK for every LIGHT monster on the field. If any of the Fusion-Materials are removed from the hand, this card is immediately destroyed. Once per turn, you can Special Summon one LV. 4 or lower LIGHT monster from your hand or Graveyard.

 

The light monsters youll want to be summoning are based on the three stars that make the summer triangle. Seeing as how these are actually stars and not constellations with empty space like the dark sinister mages, they have more straightforward and powerful effects.

 

Sinister Mage-Altair

(Lv. 4-LIGHT-Spellcaster/Effect) 1500 ATK/ 1500 DEF

This card gains 500 ATK when there is a "Star" Field Spell on the field.

When this card is Special Summoned, you can Special Summon up to 2 "Aquila Tokens" (Lv. 2/LIGHT/Spellcaster-Type/ 500 ATK/ 500 DEF)on either side of the field. Pay 500 lifepoints for each token Summoned by this effect. If an "Aquila Token" is removed from the field for any reason, you gain 500 lifepoints and you can put 1 Spell Counter on 1 card on the field you can put a Spell Counter on.

Sinister Mage-Deneb

(Lv.4-LIGHT-Spellcaster/Effect) 1900 ATK/ 400 DEF

This card gains 500 ATK when there is a "Star" Field Spell on the field. When this card is Special Summoned, add this card to your hand and pay 500 lifepoints to draw 1 card. When this card is Normal Summoned, put Spell Counters on this card equal to the number of times this card has been Summoned. Tribute 1 Spell counter on this to increase your lifepoints by 500. Tribute 2 Spell Counters on this card to destroy 1 Spell or Trap card on the field.

Sinister Mage-Vega

(Lv. 2-LIGHT-Spellcaster/Effect) (700 ATK/700 DEF)

When this card is Summoned, put 1 Spell Counter on every card on the field you can put a Spell Counter on. Pay 500 lifepoints for each Spell Counter placed by this effect. This card gains 300 ATK for each Spell Counter on the filed. When this card is destroyed, add 1 "Star" Spell card from your Deck to your hand.

 

The only things missing are the support cards and the power cards with the mighty effects. These will be posted as soon as im done tweaking them to fit the Deck type. Here's the main support:

Star Dome

(Field Spell)

While this card is face-up on the field the owner of this card does not pay lifepoints for the cost or the effect of a "Sinister Mage" card and no other Field Spells can be activated. Each time a Spellcaster-type monster is Special Summoned, put 1 Spell counter on this card (max. 5). When a card effect that would remove this card from the field is activated, remove one Spell counter instead and inflict damage to both players' lifepoints equal to 200 the number of Spell Counters on this card.

( 13/5/08 ) Here's the new cards based on none other than Dark Magician! That card has had so much support, but i wanted to turn it into an effect monster. Here's the two sides of the new Dark Magician, and a new Magician of Black Chaos.

 

Sinister Mage-Nightfall

(Lv. 7-DARK-Spellcaster/Effect) 2500 ATK/2100 DEF

This card's name is also treated as "Dark Magician". When this card is Special Summoned, put Spell Counters on this card equal to the number of times this card has been Summoned. By paying 500 lifepoints and tributing 1 Spell Counter, destroy one monster on the field.

Sinister Mage-Daybreak

(Lv. 7-LIGHT-Spellcaster/Effect) 2500 ATK/2100 DEF

This card's name is also treated as "Dark Magician". When this card is Special Summoned, put Spell Counters on this card equal to the number of times this card has been Summoned. By paying 500 lifepoints and tributing all Spell Counters on this card, Special Summon from your Graveyard LV 4 or lower LIGHT monsters equal to the number of Spell Counters tributed.

Sinister Mage-Lunar Despair

(Lv. 7-DARK-Spellcaster/Effect) 2800 ATK/2600 DEF

This card's name is alo trated as "Magician of Black Chaos". This card can be Tribute Summoned with only 1 tribute if the tribute is a "Sinister Mage". When this card is Tribute Summoned, you can Special Summon one "Sinister Mage" from your Graveyard and then you can destroy one monster on your opponent's side of the field. If this monster is Special Summoned, the controller pays 1000 lifepoints and this card is returned to the owner's hand.

Sheesh, haven't been on in a while. Here's the last of the Sinister Mage Cards. Right now I am working on two new deck-types, the Snow cards and the Red Arms swarm. Also i'll be posting support cards needed by dying or long dead TCG deck-types. As always criticism is good.

 

Sinister Mage- Stargazer

(Lv. 6-LIGHT-Spellcaster/Effect) 2000 ATK/1700 DEF

This card's name is also treated as "Dark Magician Girl". This card is not destroyed in battle while there is a face-up "Dark Magician" on the field. When this card is Special Summoned, Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower LIGHT monster from your deck then shuffle your Deck. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, pay 500 lifepoints.

 

Star Fleet

(Field Spell)

While this card is face-up on the field the owner of this card does not pay lifepoints for the cost or the effect of a "Sinister Mage" card and no other Field Spells can be activated. If there is a "Star Field Spell" on the field already, you can play this card as a Continuous Spell card instead. Once per turn, you can send one Spellcater-type monster on the field to the owner's hand to destroy one monster on the field. Pay 500 lifepoints during each of your Standby Phases. If you don't, this card is destroyed.

 

Star Drain

(Field Spell)

While this card is face-up on the field, when the owner of this card has to pay lifepoints for the cost or the effect of a "Sinister Mage", the owner's lifepoints are increased by the same amount instead.

 

Star Drain Rose

(Counter Trap)

This card can only be activated while there is a "Sinister Mage" or an "Argo the Star Carrier" on the field. Pay 500 lifepoints to negate the activation and the effect of 1 Spell or Trap card and destroy it. Then Special Summon 1 "Rose Token" (Lv. 1/LIGHT/Spellcaster-Type/0 ATK/0 DEF) on your opponent's side of the field. The "Rose Token cannot be used for a Tribute Summon.

 

Star Drain Azalea

(Quick-Play Spell)

When this card is activated, it is placed face-up under the top 2 cards in your opponent's Deck. When your opponent draws this card it is immediately activated as a Continuous Spell card on your opponent's side of the field. Then, Special Summon 1 "Azalea Token" (Lv. 1/LIGHT/Spellcaster-Type/0 ATK/0 DEF) on your opponent's side of the field. During each of your opponent's End Phases, inflict 1000 damage to his or her lifepoints. When the "Azalea Token" is removed from the field, destroy this card.

 

Spacebreak Formation

(Quick-Play Spell)

Select 1 "Sinister Mage" in your Graveyard. Send 1 "Sinister Mage" your hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon the selected monster. The selected monster is unaffected by your opponent's Spell or Trap cards.

 

Cosmic Fall

(Normal Trap)

Tribute 1 "Sinister Mage" to activate this card. All of your monsters can attack your opponent directly during this turn only.
