Before, Lightsworn were just about equal to DAD. Now, they are the dominant deck type by far.

Aside from this blatant ignorance of the Lightsworn monsters, this is a step in the right direction. While DAD is a ridiculous power card himself, his deck just got slow enough to let other decks back into the competitive scene. Gladiator Beasts are now more than just a one-time lucksack event, and will probably become very common. With less emphasis on RFP, Macro Cosmos is more useful again, as there is little fear of having your opponent happily play his Return and blow up in your face. (And 0 fear of doing the same with D-Fusion and Zerato.)

Flip Effects will be more playable again, and I expect to see new DAD builds running 1 Return, 3 Escape, 3 Cat of Ill Omen. In addition, Ryko became even better, along with a variety of other monsters that are best played face-down. (Including Hoplomus) Overall, a lot of this spells out well for making the metagame fun again.

I love Lightsworn, but they are obviously ridiculous. They could outspeed DAD even before these changes, and with these changes, we will see nothing else. So, they obviously need to be dealt with. Judgment at 0, and we'll see. They could still be left with a competitive non-OTK deck-type that would play much like Zombies, but with their own Monarch.

My last thoughts, I'm trying to decide whether I'd rather see DAD banned at this point. He's obviously powerful, but the Return deck is powerful even without him. After Lightsworn are dealt with, we'll have to see how many more decks are let into the competitive scene to decide on him.

Even with 2 Allure, 1 RftDD, and ) D Fusion, Light Sworn isn't superior to a ridiculous extent. Now it's sort of a fair ground for them.

Lightsworn probably now has a small edge of DAD, if anything. This list is getting closer to perfection, but still not good enough. Judgment Dragoon needs to get banned along with others. Also, if you deckout while using Lightsworn, your doing it wrong.

Benraino, please explain to me why Lightsworn has anything but a ridiculously massive edge over Dark Armed Dragon? I know people are slow to accept that anything could be more broken then the DADR deck, but Lightsworn were better even before DAD was hit with the mid-list changes. Now, DAD stands no chance.

They are faster, they are more consistent, they can function perfectly well as a Zombie-style swarm deck even if they can't pull their OTK off. DAD just can't compete.
