I am under the impression that they are always just 1 monsters short (for a 2-card combo) to get out 4 monsters, so that might be problematic.

That being said, the access to "Where Arf! Thou ?", "One for One", "World Legacy Succession",  "World Legacy's Sorrow", "Machine Duplication" etc is not bad.

Furthermore the Field Spell is quite good (and with Ka_ppa Scale the downside of Appliancer Test is practically non-existent (see (*))).

Edit: Apart from Meklords (the anime versions) this archtype should be the closest to Valon's Armor archtype that we have gotten thus far.

(*) Reviving Ka_ppa Scale  and another monsters to be used for a second Ka_ppa Scale allows to effectively get out the 2 Link 1s without them still being tied to Appliancer Test (1 from the ED and 1 from the GY and for later Tests one can revive 2 Ka_ppa to do the same, furthermore one should always get 1 in the grave through laddering when setting up the field).

Overall, they look like having good swarming power, and the different Links act as problem solvers. I'm not sure if that's enough to make them meta-worthy though, and they are missing on spell speed 2+ disruption. As Level 1s they do get access to a handful of toys, like the ones mentioned above as well as the Lyrilusc to search D.D. Crow. DARK/Machine makes me think of Orcust Crescendo, but IDK if an Orcust engine would mesh well with them.

Am I missing something? Because I feel that Laundry Dragon is powerful as hell. 1500 ATK for a Link 1 mob, summonable by anything in the archetype. It's arrow pointing upwards can be remedied by the field, then the next moment the thing begins to banish or destroy + inflict direct damage simply by attacking depending on it's Link situation? Holy crap, neither player takes battle damage, you can ram it into something nasty and get rid of it while damaging the opponent greatly. Or does it need to stay on the field to resolve such effects?

On paper it doesn't look good enough to me. As said, they got tools to remove problems on board, including that card but have little to no means to disrupt the opponent from setting up, or protecting your own combos. A monster that removes threats by battle can only go so far. Just take a look as Shaddoll Construct: her effect may not banish, but she is just as accessible, and yet it rarely lasts on the board until your next turn. Looks like this archetype would rely on board breakers like Forbidden Drop and Ruler No More to break though disruption/negation boards.
