Yu-Gi-Oh! Hidden Legacy

Episode 39: The Chariot of Death Part Two

[On the last Hidden Legacy: Ace and ??? began their duel. Ace has a large advantage, but can he win the duel?]

???: I've heard of that card. It's quite rare. How were you able to acquire it?

Ace: My dad gave me this card when I started dueling. This is the first time that I've summoned this card, and I'll use it to defeat you!

They were standing in front of a card shop. No one was watching the duel, but Ace had a feeling that some of the people knew their lives were on the line. It was almost like he had a connection with the people he was fighting for. This probably wasn't true, but after the battle with The Wicked Eraser, it wasn't easy to figure out if anything was truly impossible.

Ace: I'll explain the effect of Typhoon Devastator to you. I can destroy a card on my side of the field to increase Typhoon Devastator's attack points by 400. Sure, that might not seem like a powerful effect at first, but I'm going to show you why it truly this card is so rare and so powerful!

???: Alright, let’s see what you’ve got.

Ace: You asked for it! Typhoon Devastator, attack Winged Destroyer with Energy Saber!

The beast formed a saber of energy in its hands, and threw it at ???’s monster. The monster exploded into pixels.

???’s Life Points: 3700

Ace’s Life Points: 3000

Ace: How’d you like that?

???: Actually, I’m glad you destroyed my monster. You see, when Winged Destroyer is sent to the Graveyard, I can add another Winged Destroyer from my Deck to my hand.

Ace: Heh. So my move didn’t really accomplish anything.

???: Exactly. Now then, are you finished?

Ace: *I’m done for now, there’s nothing else I can do. This isn’t good.* Yes. So make your move.

???: It was a mistake for you to challenge me in the first place, but it’s too late to do anything about that now. However, I’ll let you surrender now. If you do, I’ll just destroy you, and I won’t destroy any of the people in this area.

Ace: *He’s saying that I can give up my life to save all of these people. However, if I do that, The Wicked Gods won’t be destroyed. It’s up to me to destroy them!* Thanks, but no thanks. I’m going to win this duel, and there’s no need for me to quit!

???: You’re such a foolish person. I admire your bravery, but defeating me is impossible.

Ace: You don’t understand. *Throughout your life, you will learn that there can’t be a winner.* A very smart man once told me that there can’t be a winner. That also means there can’t be a loser. You see, in each situation, someone gains something, and someone loses something. This duel is different, in your case.

???: Wha? What do you mean?

Ace: I’ll die to defeat you, if that’s what I have to do. I can’t lose.

???: You will lose.

Ace: It’s literally impossible for me to lose.

???: What are you trying to say?

Ace: I won’t let this duel end until I defeat you.

???: *This kid’s determination is stronger than it should be. I assumed that he would be easy to defeat, but if he is serious about what he said, I don’t know what’s going to happen.*

Ace: So, let’s get back to dueling.

???: *Can I actually lose?* Well kid, I’m going to make my move, and hope that you’re wrong. I summon Winged Destroyer in attack position. Next, I’ll play Double Summon. This card lets me normal summon another monster. I release Winged Destroyer, and summon The Wicked Dreadroot (4000/4000)!

The creature appeared on the field, and the entire area was surrounded by darkness. This thing wasn’t as scary as The Wicked Eraser, but it was still a force to be reckoned with.

???: I’m sorry to break it to you, but you’re going to lose this turn. Dreadroot halves the attack points of all face-up monsters on the field, except for itself. That means your Typhoon Devastator only has 750 attack points. When my Dreadroot destroys your Devastator, this duel, and your life, will be over.

Ace: Did you listen to what I told you?

???: What are you talking about?

Ace: I’m not losing. I’ll activate Devastator’s special ability! When the attack points of Devastator change, I can destroy one monster on the field. Then, I take damage equal to half of the destroyed monster’s attack points. Destroy Dreadroot with Energy Saber!

The large creature explodes, and more darkness surrounds Ace and ???.

???’s Life Points: 3700

Ace’s Life Points: 1100

Ace fell to the ground.

Ace: *I ha..have to win. Th..there’s no way I can allow this guy to take over the world. Every time I lose Life Points, I lose life. As lo..long as I can win this duel, I don’t care what happens to me. My friends are always there for me, and now I have to be there for my friends!*

???: You should have surrendered when you had the chance.

Ace stood up slowly. He was in so much pain, but that wasn’t important.

???: *He managed to stand up!*

Ace: Is th..that it?

???: You actually want to continue this duel?

Ace: There’s no reason not to. Plus, I still haven’t defeated you, so this duel isn’t going to end.

???: You’re so annoying! Just accept the fact that you can’t defeat me!

Ace: So you’re losing your cool, huh? Well, I’m going to make my move! I activate the spell card Solar Blade! I can release one of my monsters, and place four counters on Solar Ocean!

???: So you gave up your only monster to add more counters to your Ocean?

Ace: I know what I’m doing! I send Solar Ocean to the Graveyard, and Special Summon Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth (2800/2000)!

???: What is that?

Ace: That is my ticket to victory.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Hidden Legacy

Episode 40: The Chariot of Death Part Three

[On the last Hidden Legacy: Ace overcame the odds and destroyed The Wicked Dreadroot with the special ability of his Typhoon Devastator. Then, he summoned Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth. Can Ace finally win the duel?]

Ace: I'm not going to let you win this duel! Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth, attack his Life Points directly with Hydro Wave!

???: *That thing has 2800 attack points!*

The attack from the large fish smashed into ???, and knocked him down.

Ace's Life Points: 1100

???'s Life Points: 900

Ace: Well, what do you think of that?

???: This is..impossible! I can't lose!

Ace: That's where you're wrong. I'll place one card face-down, and end my turn.

The wind was strong. Ace stood still for a moment. He was so glad that he would be putting a stop to this evil, but he was dissapointed that ??? was willing to destroy anyone that got in his way to obtain power.

???: Before this duel ends, I have one question for you.

Ace: What's that?

???: You're the most talented duelist I've ever met. You could be incredibly powerful, but you choose to defend people. Why do you care about people when you could be powerful?

Ace: I don't think that I'm better than anyone else. You see, I respect everyone. Sure, your goals are not good, but you're a talented duelist. Everyone has good qualities. I can't allow you to destroy all those people. Therefore, I'm going to win this duel. Now, if you don't mind, I have a question for you.

???: Huh?

Ace: There are three Wicked God cards, and you've only used two. Why haven't you played the third one?

???: I'll tell you. You see, The Wicked Avatar is a deadly creature. It is more powerful than The Wicked Dreadroot and The Wicked Eraser. Although I really want to obtain infinite power, I won't take the chance of summoning The Wicked Avatar.

Ace: So you're saying...

???: Yes, I do care about people. I have to achieve power, but I won't use The Wicked Avatar to do that.

Ace: *There is some good in him. I can save him if I try hard enough.*

???: Now, there's nothing I can do, so I'll end my turn.

Ace: You can stop The Wicked Gods!

???: What?

Ace: I realized that you aren't a bad person! You were misguided. Now then, if I win this duel, you will be destroyed! However, if this duel were to end in a draw...

???: I understand! But why would you try to save me after what I did?

Ace: I told you, I respect everyone. Now, here goes! I activate my face-down card, Wave Blast! Now, I can release a monster I control, and inflict damage to both of our Life Points equal to the monsters attack points. That means, this duel is over.

Ace's Life Points: 0

???'s Life Points: 0

Ace and ??? fell to the ground.

Ace: Are you ok?

???: I think so.

Ace looked up, and noticed that The three Wicked God Cards were being destroyed. They were surrounded by light, and they exploded into pixels. Then, a large gray orb appeared in front of them.

Ace: Is that?

???: It can't be!

Ace realized that the orb was The Wicked Avatar. It had managed to appear on Earth, and it was going to destroy everything. Ace stood up.

Ace: I'm not going to stand here and let that thing destroy the world!

???: Ace, my name, is Steven. I felt that you should know my name now. I won't let you be destroyed by this thing. I am the one that caused this problem!

Ace: Steven, I'm going to help you.

Steven: I don't want you to get hurt.

Ace: That doesn't matter. This thing is going down!

A beam of rainbow colored energy hits the giant orb, and someone runs up to Ace and Steven.

???: Destroy The Wicked Avatar with Rainbow Overdrive!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Hidden Legacy

Episode 41: The End of Wicked

The Wicked Avatar was larger than any of the surrounding buildings. It was completely surrounded by shadows. Ace and Steven hadn't taken their eyes off the creature.

???: Attack with Rainbow Overdrive!

A large rainbow-colored beam was fired at the orb, but it had no effect.

Suddenly, a duelist walked up to Ace, and helped him stand up.

???: Remember me?

Ace wasn't scared anymore.

Ace: Jesse! What are you doing here?

Jesse: Thought I'd lend a hand.

The duelist was Jesse Andersen. He was the only duelist in the world that used the Crystal Beast cards. It was obvious that the beam was fired from Rainbow Dragon. That meant Jesse was able to summon Rainbow Dragon as a duel spirit, just like Ace had done with Flying Fish.

Ace: How were you able to summon Rainbow Dragon as a duel spirit?

Steven: *How are they able to summon duel spirits? I thought that I was one of the only ones that could do that.* Ace, let's help him out. Both of us can summon duel spirits, so let's try to destroy The Wicked Avatar.

Ace nodded.

Ace: Right.

Steven forced himself to stand up. He took a card from his Deck and placed it on his duel disk.

Steven: I summon Gil Garth (1800/1200),

Ace: And I summon Golden Flying Fish (1700/1000)!

Jesse: You ready? Let's take this thing down!

Steven: It won't be as easy as you think. You see, The Wicked Avatar cannot be destroyed from attacks, because it is always one hundred points stronger than the strongest monster on the field. That means, we need a strategy to destroy it.

Jesse: That makes this even more difficult than I had expected it to be.

Ace: Well, what did you expect? This is a Wicked God after all.

The darkness began to expand. It was getting harder to see, the light from Rainbow Dragon wasn't nearly enough for them to see clearly. Things weren't looking good.

Jesse: This darkness is making it incredibly difficult to see! We have to end this quick, before it's too late.

Steven: Jesse's right, if we don't put a stop to this soon, we don't be able to stop The Wicked Avatar from unleashing destruction.

Ace: It hasn't done anything yet. It's just floating there.

Steven: It's gaining power. Soon, it will be ready to strike, and there will be nothing we can do about it.

*Duel Spirit World*

Two warriors are talking. One of them is Warrior Dai Grepher, and the other one is Celtic Guardian.

Celtic Guardian: Sir, what would you like us to do?

Warrior Dai Grepher: The Wicked Avatar has already entered the other world. There is no way to return it to this world. Now, to eliminate it, we must destroy it.

Celtic Guaridan: But, you know that's not possible.

Warrior Dai Grepher: It's not possible for us to destroy it, but, with the help of the humans, we might able to take it down.

Celtic Guardian: The Wicked Avatar is the strongest creature in this world, and in the other world.

Warrior Dai Grepher: That's not completely true.

Celtic Guardian looked shocked. His eyes were wide open, and he had a sort of nervous feeling.

Celtic Guardian: What are you talking about?

Warrior Dai Grepher: Legend tells of a beast that was created by fusing the three Wicked God cards. During the Ancient War, the Egyptian Gods battled the Wicked Gods, and the Wicked Gods fused together to create a beast stronger than darkness itself.

Celtic Guardian: Is it possible this beast is still...

Celtic Guardian stopped talking for a moment.

Celtic Guardian: alive?

Warrior Dai Grepher: The creature itself is not alive, but if The Wicked Avatar brings The Wicked Eraser and The Wicked Dreadroot back from the shadows, the beast could be created once again.

Celtic Guardian: So can we do about it?

Warrior Dai Grepher: Let's go to the other world. We might be able to help out in some way.

Celtic Guardian: Alr..Alright.

Dai Grepher and Celtic Guardian walked a little, until the reached a portal.

Warrior Dai Grepher: You ready?

Celtic Guardian: Let's do this.

They walked into the portal, and left the duel spirit world.

*Diamond City*

Steven: Let's try to attack with all three of our monsters at the same time. It might not be able to destroy all three of them. I'm not sure if this will work, but it's worth a try.

Ace: Alright.

Jesse: Sounds good to me.

Steven: Gil Garth...

Ace: Golden Flying Fish...

Jesse: Rainbow Dragon...

Steven, Ace, and Jesse: Attack!

Gil Garth leaped in the air with its sword, and slashed The Wicked Avatar. Golden Flying Fish fired a large fireball at The Wicked Avatar. Rainbow Dragon shot a huge beam at The Wicked Avatar.

They looked around. They had made it to the other world. Just as Warrior Dai Grepher was going to say something, he was consumed by a shadow.

Celtic Guardian: Dai Grepher!

The Wicked Avatar was gone.

Jesse: It worked!

Ace: Yeah!

Steven: Don't get so excited. Something tells me that we're not finished with it.

Jesse: What are you talking about.

Steven: The Wicked Avatar has the ability to use the bodies of duel spirits as its own. I think as it was about to be destroyed, it took over a duel spirit in the area.

Jesse: Are there any duel spirits around here?

A duel spirit with a sword walked up to Jesse. The duel spirit was black, and it had white hair. It carried a sword.

???: Unfortunately for you, there is a duel spirit!

Jesse: Who are you?

???: I am The Wicked Avatar. I took over Warrior Dai Grepher before I was destroyed.

Steven: I knew something was wrong!

???: You can call me Dark Grepher!

Jesse: What do you want?

Dark Grepher: I want to duel one of you. I don't care who I duel. If I win one duel, I will be have enough power to take over this world!

Steven began walking up to Dark Grepher, but Jessie stopped him.

Jessie: I'll duel. You and Ace are hurt. Go find Riley and bring him here!

Dark Grepher: So you're going to duel me? That's fine. I'll enjoy this.

Ace: Jessie! You shouldn't have to duel this thing!

Jessie: Go find Riley.

Ace: Alright, but be careful!

Steven: Let's go.

Ace and Steven walk away.

Jesse: Get ready to leave this world!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Hidden Legacy

Episode 42: The Strength - Heraklinos

[On the last Hidden Legacy: Ace, Jesse, and Steven used duel spirits to attack The Wicked Eraser. Just as the creature was about to be destroyed, it took over the body of Warrior Dai Grepher, and became Dark Grepher. Dark Grepher only needs to win one duel to take over the world, and Jesse's going to duel him. The fate of the world is at risk. Who's going to win?]

Jesse had a smile on his face. He was glad that he had been able to make it to Diamond City in time.

Dark Grepher: What are you smiling about?

Jesse: I'm glad that you're going to be destroyed.

Dark Grepher: Heh. Don't be so confident. I'm the strongest creature in the duel spirit world.

Jesse: I dunno if you've noticed, but we're not in the duel spirit world! Here, things are different! I'm not gonna stand here while you try to take over the world. So it's time to duel!

Dark Grepher: I am the ultimate duelist. My power is greater than anything you have ever seen!

Jesse immediately thought of Yubel.

Jesse: *This isn't my first time dueling a powerful duel spirit. I managed to defeat Yubel, so I should be able to defeat this guy.*

Dark Grepher raised his sword in the air. Darkness flew out of the sword from all directions. They were suddenly surrounded by shadows.

Dark Grepher: *laughs* We're in the Shadow Realm now. You won't be able to survive here for a long time.

Jesse was already feeling weaker.

Jesse: *This can't be good.*

Suddenly, Jesse realized something. He could win. He just had to combine two sets of cards to do it.

Dark Grepher: What're you doing?

Jesse took some cards out his Deck, and placed them in his right pocket. Then, he took some cards out of his left pocket and placed them in his Deck.

Jesse: You didn't say that I couldn't add some cards to my Deck.

Dark Grepher: Add whatever you want to. You're still going to lose this duel.

Jesse: I beg to differ.

Dark Grepher: Your confidence is starting to annoy me!

Jesse: You can make the first move.

Dark Grepher: So you want me to end this duel sooner, huh?

Jesse: This duel's not going to take a long time.

Dark Grepher: I agree. I summon Armageddon Knight (1400/1200) in attack mode. Thanks to my Knight's special ability, I can send one DARK monster in my Deck to the Graveyard. I'll send my Belial - Marquis of Darkness (2800/2400) to the Graveyard. Now, I'll place one card face-down and end my turn.

Jesse: Here goes! I summon Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger (1600/1000) in attack mode! Alright, Topaz, attack Armageddon Knight with Topaz Incisor Shred! Thanks to Topaz's special ability, it gains four hundred attack points when it attacks one of your monsters!

The tiger jumped across the field and slashed Armageddon Knight with its claws. The Knight exploded into pixels.

Jesse's Life Points: 4000

Dark Grepher's Life Points: 3400

Dark Grepher: Thank you for destroying my Armageddon Knight.

Jesse: Huh?

Dark Grepher: By destroying my Knight, you've allowed me to activate Dark Summon! This card lets me Special Summon one DARK monster from my hand. I'll choose Dark Grepher (1700/1600)!

A creature that looked exactly like the duel spirit that summoned it appeared on the field.

Jesse: Wait a minute! Dark Grepher is an actual card?

Dark Grepher: Of course it is. It's a powerful monster that is going to help me destroy you.

Jesse: I hope I can destroy that thing. I'll throw two cards face-down and end my turn.

Dark Grepher: Well kid, you managed to get in an attack. You won't be so lucky next time. I activate the Spell Card Monster Reborn. I'll use this card to bring Belial, Marquis of Darkness back from the Graveyard!

Jesse: That thing has twenty eight hundred attack points!

Dark Grepher: Not so tough now, are ya? Belial, attack Topaz Tiger with Nightmare Blade!

Belial looked like an evil swordsman. He had a halo on his head. Belial was much larger than Topaz Tiger. He threw his sword at Topaz Tiger.

Jesse: Sorry, but I activate the Trap Card Magic Cylinder. Thanks to this card, your Belial attacks your Life Points directly instead of attacking Topaz!

Dark Grepher: What the?

The sword went into the cylinder, and was shot out of the cylinder in Dark Grepher (the duel spirit)'s direction. The blade hit Dark Grepher, and the duel spirit screamed in pain.

Jesse's Life Points: 4000

Dark Grepher's Life Points: 600

Dark Grepher: Something's wrong! I shouldn't be losing! Dark Grepher, destroy that Tiger with Dark Fury!

Jesse: You were so focused on destroying my Topaz Tiger, so you weren't paying attention to my face-down card.

Dark Grepher: I forgot you had another face-down!

Topaz Tiger is destroyed, and it explodes into pixels.

Dark Grepher: Isn't your monster supposed to become a crystal?

Jesse: Normally, yes. However, if I had crystallized Topaz, I couldn't have activated Crystal Pair! This card lets me crystallize my Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus (1800/1200) from my Deck! Plus, I don't take any Battle Damage this turn!

Dark Grepher looked angry.

Dark Grepher: I activate Dark Deity! Now, I send the top five cards of my Deck to the Graveyard, and I can draw one card! I'll place one card face-down and end my turn.

Jesse: I'm going to end this duel!

Dark Grepher: *laughs* Before you draw, I'll activate my face-down card! Dark Shield!

Now, you can't attack any of my DARK monsters!

Jesse: I don't plan on attacking your monsters! I activate the Spell Card Rainbow Revelation! Now, by removing from play one Rainbow Dragon, one Rainbow Dark Dragon, two Crystal Beasts, and two Advanced Crystal Beasts in my Deck from play, I can flip a coin! If the result is heads, I can Special Summon one of my monsters that is removed from play, ignoring any Summoning Conditions. However, if the result is tails, I can Special Summon one Level three or lower Crystal Beast from my Deck. So, I'll remove Rainbow Dragon, Rainbow Dark Dragon, Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth, Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle, Advanced Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise, and Advanced Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle!

Dark Grepher: It doesn't matter what result you get, because you can't attack my DARK monsters.

Jesse: I don't care.

Jesse flipped a coin, and it landed on tails.

Dark Grepher: *laughs* You removed those monsters from play, and you get tails!

Jesse: I was hoping I'd get tails. Think about it for a minute. There are seven Crystal Beast cards, and I have used or removed from play six of them. That means there's still one left!

Dark Grepher: So you wanted tails?

Jesse: Yeah! I'll summon Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat (1200/400)!

Dark Grepher: You removed six cards so you could summon this thing?

Jesse: You see, Amethyst Cat has a good special ability. She can attack your Life Points directly!

Dark Grepher: That means...!

Jesse: When she attacks, her attack is halved during damage calculation, but six hundred is enough to bring your Life Points to zero! Attack with Amethyst Power Pounce!

Jesse's Life Points: 0

Dark Grepher's Life Points: 0

The darkness inside of Dark Grepher was gone.

Jesse: So, are you Warrior Dai Grepher?

Warrior Dai Grepher: Yes. What happened?

Jesse: You got taken over by The Wicked Avatar, and I defeated you in a duel. The darkness that was inside of you isn't here anymore.

Warrior Dai Grepher: You defeated The Wicked Avatar?

Jesse: It wasn't easy, but I managed to defeat it.

Warrior Dai Grepher: That's good. Do you know Riley Storm?
