SD39-JP021 Dai Reijutsu – “Ichirin” (Grand Spiritual Art – Ichirin)
Field Spell Card
You can only use the (2) effect of this card’s name once per turn.
(1) Once per turn, if you control a Spellcaster monster with 1500 DEF, when a monster effect that was activated on your opponent’s side of the field resolves, negate that effect.
(2) Reveal 1 Spellcaster monster in your hand; add 1 monster with 1500 ATK and 200 DEF that has the same Attribute as that monster from your Deck to your hand, then shuffle the revealed card into your Deck.

Note: Ichirin means “Wheel” or “One Flower”. Basically “united as one” is probably the poetic image they’re goinf for.

Charmers might be really good at negation in the near future. they lack offensive power, but as far as stun, they have a hell of a lot of support.

The negation effect seems mandatory though, like the Mermail Equips, so it will always negate the first monster effect the opponent. It's still good, but there is a window for the opponent to play around it. This + the Magician's Left & Right Hands could get funny, though.
It would have been more amusing if it was a Cont. Spell, if only to play in GKs since a handful of their monsters have 1500 DEF. Altergeists are among the most relevant Spellcaster decks, and they do have a 1500-DEF member in Silquitous, it would be funny if they tech this card xD

Outside of Charmers, the 2nd effect can also be used to grab Simorgh, Bird of Calamity, but Simorghs don't have any Spellcasters in their archetype so... I don't see it working unless an engine of sorts is makeshifted. I don't find any other notheworthy 1500/200 stat monsters to take advantage from.
