(1) Target 1 “Fossil” Fusion Monster you control; Tribute that monster, and if you do, Special Summon, from your Extra Deck, 1 “Fossil” Fusion Monster that is 2 Levels higher than the Tributed monster’s original Level. (This is treated as a Fusion Summon with “Fossil Fusion”.)
(2) During your Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the GY: You can banish both this card and 1 “Fossil” Fusion Monster from your GY, then target 1 “Fossil” Fusion Monster in your GY; Special Summon it.

 

 

CP20-JP013 Hyouhon no Etsuran (Specimen Inspection)

You can activate only 1 card with this card’s name per turn.
(1) Reveal 1 “Fossil Fusion” in your hand; send 1 monster from your hand to the GY, and if you do, declare 1 monster Type and Level, and if you do that, your opponent sends 1 monster of the declared Type and Level from their hand or Deck to the GY (if any).

CP20-JP014 Kiseki no Senkou (Miracle Rupture)
Normal Spell Card
You can activate only 1 card with this card’s name per turn.
(1) Send 1 Level 4 or lower Rock monster from your Deck to the GY, then, if “Fossil Fusion” is in your GY, draw 1 card.

Sidenote: C1 huh? So we can expect Number I1000 and Number CI1000 in the future, but that also mean its less likely we get the much more creative Fake Number 1-4. Shame really

[The Highlander]

Efflorescent Knight is nice as a searcher for Fossil Fusion (given Foolish Burial and Miracle Rupture one should have at the very least 7 different chances of getting Fossil Fusion per draw), not a lot to say byond that, apart from the fact that it cannot search if sent as a material. It looks like they did not want to make them even better with Adamancipators. All in all a very important card for holding the Fossil package together.

Fossil Warrior Skull Knight looks decent, it is a middle target for Time Stream between the low level Fusions and the high level Fusions, which is why it has a grave effect as well. Sounds like a decent filler for the level 5-6 gap, although it requires help to do something while on the field (though luckily Time Stream is not once per turn and with Fossil Warrior Skull Bone getting 2 copies of Time Stream to get out the level 8 monsters seems a lot easier).

Fossil Warrior Skull Bone is decent as a low level target, being a level 4 for the rank 4 Granite Xyz to search Block Dragon or just as a laddering target for Time Stream, especially given that it can immediately search a second Time Stream to ladder into Skullgios or Fossil Warrior Skull King.

Fossil Dragon Skullgar is basically a Fossil Warrior Skull Bone that requires a target in the opponent's grave, has higher stats and can search Fossil Fusion instead of Time Stream.

Fossil Dragon Skullgios appears to be the better target for Time Stream, being a lot less reliable to get out with Fossil Fusion than Fossil Knight Skull King. It may not be able to attack twice, but attacking the weaker stat on a target and doubling battle damage is very good for pushing (although admittedly Skull King can also push).

Time Stream is a very important card to have a wider access to the Extra Deck and luckily does not tribute as a cost, furthermore they remove the life point cost and it has a grave effect, although I wonder how often that one will even be usable, given that the only Fossil Fusion monsters without solid graveyard effects are the level 8 ones.

Specimen Inspection seems bad, one has to go -2 (with a potential +1 from the discard) to potentially mill a fusion material for Skullgios etc. This one seems very bad.

Miracle Rupture obviously the only one nerfed from the anime, where there is no level restriction, no once per turn restriction and the draw would always happen (that being said, now being searchable by Efflorescent Knight might be noteworthy). Definitely an amazing card and a staple for Rock decks in general (if they have decent targets). There is the Sentry Soldier of Stone one might use as Link material and Efflorescent Knight should be the goto target, also it will eventually turn into an once per turn Sky Striker Engage once Fossil Fusion is in one's graveyard.

I very much doubt we'll get C1000 and Ci1000, and also the confirmation of 1-4 FINALLY coming, means we'll not get the fakes, but that's fine as they were fake Numbers anyway, even though people liked them over the real ones.
