Yes, I know its been done before, but here's a set I was thinking about while I was at work today:

 

Pokeball

Quick-play Spell

"Remove 1 trainer token from 1 card on your side of the field in order to activate this card's effect. Remove 1 level 4 or lower monster on your opponent's side of the field from play for the remainder of the duel. A card removed from play by this card's effect cannot be returned into play by any other card effect."

 

Greatball

Quick-play Spell

"Remove 2 trainer tokens from 1 card on your side of the field in order to activate this card's effect. Remove one level 6 or lower monster on your opponent's side of the field from play for the remainder of the duel. A card removed from play by this card's effect cannot be returned into play by any other card effect."

 

Ultraball

Quick-play Spell

"Remove 3 trainer tokens from 1 card on your side of the field in order to activate this card's effect. Remove 1 level 8 or lower monster on your opponent's side of the field from play for the remainder of the duel. A card removed from play by this card's effect cannot be returned into play by any other card effect."

 

Master Ball

Continuous Spell

"Remove 5 trainer tokens from 1 card on your side of the field in order to activate this card's effect. Take control of 1 level 12 or lower monster on your opponent's side of the field and equip this card to it. If this card is destroyed or removed from the field, remove the equipped monster from play for the remainder of the duel. A card removed from play by this card's effect cannot be returned into play by any other card effect."

 

Experience Gained

Continuous Trap

"Each time you evolve a pokemon, destroy a monster as a result of battle, or activate a spell card with "trainer item" in its card name, place one "trainer token" on this card (max. 5)."

As soon as I can figure a good way to take care of the issue with "evolving" they'll be on their way.

probably dozens of packs.

series 1 - Kanto

series 2 - Johto

series 3 - Hoenn

series 4 - Sinnoh

May I recommend a idea like I did with my Digivolution cards? For example If a Pikachu was on the Field as the same time as say Ash Ketchum, You could Tribute Pikachu to Special Summon Raichu, I did it in my Digivolution set by using the Digidestined to Evolve from Rookie to Ultimate, Skipping Champion Level.
