"...I guess I might be able to recharge while Sonic's running..." Danny began, but was cut short when the hedgehog shot out the window.

 

"So where are we going?" Mike yelled.

 

"Arkhalix, where else?" Sonic bellowed in return.

 

Link's plan worked perfectly. They were able to enter the throne room. However, they were in for a rather unpleasant surprise. Marth was fighting for his life against King DeDeDe, Princess Peach, and Skullker, all at once. Sure, the invaders were fighting each other as well, but it was still technically 3 on 1.

 

FATALITY Beta-12:

1. Try and help Marth while Link's army defends Arkhalix Fortress.

2. Flee the Arkhalix battlefield.

"Let's decloak and attack," Mike suggested. Danny, recognizing the element of surprise, obeyed. As the invaders bore down on Marth, Mike fired his blasters at DeDeDe, Danny blasted Skullker with ectoplasmic energy, and Sonic used the Blue Tornado on Peach, knocking her far out the window.

 

"That worked well," Prince Marth d'Altéa complimented them, impressed. "Three invasions in one day... What kind of coincidence is that? We should be able to hold our position from here on out."

 

DIALOGUE Gamma-1:

1. "Should? Why wouldn't we be able to?"

2. "Will Link's army be able to keep them out of here?"

3. "Why does everyone want to invade Akanelibe?"

"Why does everyone want to invade Akanelibe?"

 

"To be honest, I have no idea," Marth admitted sheepishly. "If I had to place a guess, it's because Akanelibe is in possession of all of the legendary swords ever made. Well, except one. But no one wants that one, anyway."

 

DIALOGUE Gamma-2:

1. "Legendary swords?"

2. "Why wouldn't we be able to hold our position?"

3. "What are Akanelibe's diplomatic standings?"

"Legendary Swords?"

 

"Mastersword Power, Mastersword Wisdom, Falchion, Sword of the Seal, Soul Calibur, and the female Twimnitar," Marth rattled off proudly. "Mastersword Courage went missing when the Hero of Time did two years ago, Wicked Edge vanished when Ganondorf did around the same time, the male Twimnitar hasn't been seen since the late 1500's, and no one wants Soul Edge. Hey, what are they talking about?" the prince pointed to Danny and Sonic.

 

Their conversation was interesting:

 

"So, what were you doing in Akanelibe, Sonic?" Danny asked suspiciously.

 

"I could ask you the same question," the cobalt wonder replied dismissively. "You haven't been in the same country as Amity Park in the last two years."

 

DIALOGUE Gamma-3:

1. To Marth: "What's with two years ago?"

2. To Sonic: "Why wouldn't you be in Akanelibe?"

3. To Danny: "Why wouldn't you want to be in Amity Park?"

4. To Marth: "So Soul Edge is real here?

5. To Marth: "How much longer will we have to stay here?"

"Why wouldn't you want to be in Amity Park?"

 

"You insane?" Danny growled. "Why would I want to be in the same towon as those bigoted, backstabbing imbeciles?"

 

"...Okay..." Mike said slowly, stepping away.

 

Suddenly, a massive cobra's head appeared outside the window. "Watch it!" Mike yelled, firing both guns at the white serpent's eyes. It responded by smashing its head through the window.

 

"Sandiramon?!" Danny shouted over the sound of falling rubble as he fired ectoplasmic blasts at the cobra's left eye. "Who's employing that?"

 

Sandiramon drew back, only to come forward with a leap that sent its whole body flying through the throne room. Much to the combatants' dismay, the head was out of reach almost immediately.

 

BOSS Gamma-4:

1. Try and fire at Sandiramon's head.

2. Fire at Sandiramon's underbelly.

3. Fire at Sandiramon's tail when it passes.

Mike tried firing at Sandiramon's underbelly, but the shot reflected right off. Clearly, it wasn't a weak spot. Sonic had attempted to strike the tail, a far more successful endeavor. It recoiled and then hissed, hurling its halberd at the threat. Sonic dodged easily, of course, and if phased straight through Danny, but on its return strike, it looked like it would plow straight through Marth, continuing into Mike.

 

BOSS Gamma-5:

1. Try and dodge the halberd.

2. Fire at Sandiramon anyway.

1, although that may kill Marth.

Marth was sneaky and rolled à la Super Smash Bros. away from the halberd, leaving Mike in its path. However, he'd already started moving, so it merely returned to the giant snake. Now Mike had to decide which of the two weak spots to exploit.

 

BOSS Gamma-6:

1. Shoot the eyes.

2. Shoot the tail.

Vividly recalling Sandiramon's reaction to being blasted in the face, Mike wisely chose to fire at the tail of the creature. Danny, Sonic, and Marth were of a similar mind. The beast screeched in pain, and then fell to the ground, barely conscious. Realizing that the Deva was at his mercy, Mike approached, mind full of questions...

1. "Who sent you?"

2. "Who are you?"
