Mmm... in a sense, this reminds me of Magic Cylinder, as in the end your opponent takes damage equal to the attacking monster's ATK, but according to this wording, you'd also be taking the same damage, as you never negated the attack or the damage received from the attack. On the other hand, being usable from the hand is a good trade-off, it'd be a nice way of winning a duel when your LP is higher than your opponent and you're seemingly defenseless without a field, except for a single monster for instance. Now that I think about it, there's a card named Doble Passe that is even more similar to this card.
