OmegaWave
Even though I cuss on the forum, i'm a little ticked off that people abuse the english language like that. It reminds me of that South Park episode where they said the F Word 200+ times! They even had a counter on the corner of the screen. So, this forum should have an updated word filter. Substitute words like S*** for Crap. It may sound like 4kids, but if this forum is to appeal to all ages, then the cussing needs to stop.

Lucas Maximus
I agree. If anything YCM should have censors.

Kale
I agree with that, because people do abuse the freedom of posting basically anything you want. Like on the runescape website, if you type any pre-guarded words then they should be sensored. It would make things more rated g that way.
God GAK
I agree too, BUT! This is a forum, and very very sadly, there is no way this can happen
Kale
please elaborate, mr. God GAK. why would this never happen?
OmegaWave
I agree too' date=' BUT! This is a forum, and very very sadly, there is no way this can happen[/quote'] No word filters on a forum? Join IPBFree. There is a Word Filter system. All forums have a Word filter. But it's up to the Admin(s) whether or not to activate it.
CinnamonStar
I think it would be a good idea to replace those words with something else, like putting "person" when someone says "a**hole" or something like that.
Enigma Zero
When I have more time I'll try to dig up the post I made on this subject a few days ago. Unless it's just this type of forum there should be a word filter. I not only proposed that profanity be censored but I also added a list of commonly annoying words, abbreviations, misspellings, and other n00b-type things that, I believe, would make the forums a more enjoyable experience for anyone with at least the reading skills of a dyslexic gorilla. I'll try to find that post later when I have more time and copy the list to this thread. If this works like my forum then it is an Admin ability so that's, ultimately, who you would have to get onboard for this idea to work. ;)
