Activate this card when your opponent activates a card or effect from their hand. Negate that cards effects and banish it, and if you do, the effects of cards with the same name as the banished card cannot be activated until the end of the next turn.

So Disarming Hand is a Called by the grave for card effects that would activate from the hand such as the Ghost girls and Nibiru where this will shut them down and banish them regardless of if their in the hand or sent to GY as cost to be activated.
