Locking to Deleting Forums(Please Lock)

As you know, Card Trade is a locked forum. But... why lock it when you can delete it. That is just my quick suggestion. Feedback is appreciated even though I know this suggestion stinks like crap on a stick.

1. It may reopen 1 day.

 

2. It would delete alot of members posts therefore unfairly decrease post counts.

Yep over 90,000 posts were made there from active users if its gone POOF 6 stars to 1 in a few seconds.

EDIT:yes but somepeople want a certain Post count in order them to do something so a small count could be deadly!!!

DJ is right. YCMaker likes to keep topics that don't NEED to be deleted, not deleted. It preserves the history and depth of the site.

As an alternative...you could always adjust the user masks to make the forum invisible. That way the posts are still intact and the post counts are unaffected. It'd take all of about...5 minutes. Just a thought. ;)
