Recommended Posts

Name: Faithful Magician of Noble Arms

Attribute: Light

Type: Warrior

Stars: 4 (****)

ATK/DEF: 1900/1100

Effect:  If this card is summoned, you can Special Summon 1 "Magician of Faith" from your hand, deck or GY face-down. If this card is destroyed by your opponent (battle or card effect), you can target 1 "Noble Arms" card in your GY (except "Faithful Magician of Noble Arms), add it to your hand. At the start of the damage step, if "Magician of Faith" or a "Noble Arms" monster battles an opponent's Monster, you can Banish this card from your hand or GY, return that opponent's monster back to the hand. You can only use each effect of "Faithful Magician of Noble Arms" once per turn.

I like the card and all. But the thing that sucks is Magician of Faith has been on the banlist forever and when it isn't on the banlist, Konami forgets that putting it at 3 makes cards like Reborn, Premature and Reincarnation extremely abusable. That being said, if Magician of faith IS banned, half this card is useless.

But now I have a question: If this card is a magician, why is it classed as a Warrior instead of Spellcaster?

The reason why its Warrior and not Spellcaster is because its apart of the Noble Arms family. Think of the card story as a Magician who sought for more power and so found the Noble Arms Warriors to train with. A small back story I know but not every card needs to full on support only one archetype. That's not always good card designing. Btw, Magician of Faith is currently unlimited.

So you decided to take advantage of that fact and make a card that can abuse the card that can abuse all those lovely recycle cards.
