The art on these cards is absolutely amazing. They will likely jump into meta mixing with atlantean/mermails, but even if not, i want them all for the art alone. they might even mix well with marincess, and knowing the waifu tax, somebody is gonna mix them right in with mermail and try to take a tournament.

Oh great, Deep Sea, now I can't call anything that anymore! I use that all the time. I hope the official TCG name will be different, both because this is pretty damn generic, and also so I won't have to worry about that. All kidding aside, I'm glad we got new Sea Serpents, even though they clearly want you to use Atlanteans still, which I mean fine, they are good cards, so getting to use them in the Deck is fine, and with how little Sea Serpents there are, it makes sense to use the ones you have. Still, they do have their own identity, mostly milling and messing with your opponent's hand. Interestingly, no Archetype support in here, only talk about WATER and Sea Serpent, while yeah that helps for support, I do hope they make some more focused things for them.

More pressingly, between Condemned Witch and Bird of Kings, this would now be the third monster in two years that can bring out a Barrier Statue with its effect - specifically Torrent, through the Destrudo-Summonable Synchro's first effect. As much as the attempts to Moulinglacia your opponent will cause your opponent stress, finishing it all off with a float into the most Attribute-oppressive of the Barrier Statues on top of all that will definitely cause some hairlines self-adjustments among the meta.

The other cards mill effects, since they're to activate a WATER monster's effect, also trigger the Atlantean stuff as well if you happen to mill them, which shows a lot more synergy with the Sea Serpents than I formerly thought.

So yeah, Deep Sea Artisan, for being a Special Summon that floats into a Level 4 or lower WATER from GY, gets a 7.9 from me.

Deep Sea Sentry, returning WATER monsters from GY to hand, gets a 7.3.

Deep Sea Minstrel, for being a Halqifibrax contact target, and a drop from the opponent's hand that ALSO TRIGGERS ATLANTEAN /D.S. SENTRY IF ITS THE OTHER DISCARDED CARD, is 8.2.

Deep Sea Prima Donna,  for literally being your float into Torrent, enabler for Bihamet and all-around-new-Destrudo B.F.F., gets the rare above-8.5 rating of 8.9.

And Sea Serpent RoTA gets 8.0.

Sea Serpent RoTA

In the most technical way ever, the spell is just a little more like Creeping Darkness rather than ROTA, despite having a similar search effect to ROTA.

More seriously though, these cards look pretty sweet. They boost pretty much any Sea-Serpent strategy ( namely Atlanteans and Mermails ) and have great potential to get even more better and better support in the future ( likely a synchro boss monster given the protection effect the synchro monster can give ).

*Reads cards* I give Moulinglacia 6 months tops. I'd like Konami to pre-emptively hit it like they did with cards that were used with Halqifibrax in the OCG, but if not then I don't see Moulinglacia surviving into the WCQ format.

If a generic version of it, Gumblar, can survive in OCG this long, it's going nowhere

neither am I?

I assumed you were because Gumblar is currently banned in the TCG, yet still running around at 3 in OCG. My point being, Konami has done away with pieces that led to hand looping in TCG in the past, like Party Boat in Wind-Ups, and Gumblar when it was used in the meta, so it wouldn't be farfetched to think Moulinglacia might go the same way as them in a couple of formats time.

EDIT: OCG has also banned Gumblar, so ya.
