Dokutah
Soldier of GeomancyEARTH / Link 2 / Rock / EffectBottom, Left2 Monster with different names and type When an effect of card in your possesion that list both "Change" and "Position" on its text of that effect is activated: You can pay 800 LP; Place 1 Geomancy Counter on this card (EARTH Monsters with a Geomancy Counter gain 300 ATK, also each time that card would be destroyed by battle or card effect you can remove that Counter instead.) and then the activated effect becomes "Banish a number Monster your opponent controls face-up up to number of Geomancy Counter on this card until your next Standby Phase. You can only use this effect of "Soldier of Geomancy" once per turn. ATK 1500 Your favorite Position Changer card like Book of Moon or Quaking Mirror Force become obselete in MR4? Fear not, for this card gave the power back to such card by rewritting the effects in to ever-powerful (albeit temporary) Banish removal on your command

Dokutah
I'm not sure I understand the card's intended impact. Care to elaborate more?before Link Monster, position changers cards like the 2 mention earlier (or any other, particularly the ones that change to face-down) can be consider a staple since you can use it to both shut-down effects and putting monster in much more vurnerable postion to be killed in battle. But now with Link being unable to change position and many of decks now become Link centric or at very least employ a Link that powerful enough to be Ace of its own. These position changers cards do nothing against them thus declining in use This card with its abilities to change the position changer to banish removal (ala Artifact Durandal) is to encourage players to tech position changer card again even against Link Monster.
