Hulk Archetype. Any tips would be appreciated.

I decided to make an archetype for The Hulk, I know that it's "cringy" to do it with a pop culture thing, but I thought there was potential, tell me what you guys think of the abilities. Monsters:

 

  • Name: Bruce Banner
  • Type: Spellcaster
  • Level: 2
  • ATK/DEF: 500/1000
  • Effect: If this card is Summoned you can add 1 "Hulk" card to your hand. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect you can Special Summon one "Hulk" monster in your hand. Only 1 Bruce Banner can be on the field at a time.

 

  • Name: Rick Jones
  • Type Spellcaster
  • Level: 3
  • ATK/DEF: 1000/0
  • Effect:You can send this card to the Graveyard; Add 1 Spell/Trap card that lists "Hulk" in its Card text from your Deck to your Hand.

 

  • Name: The Red She-Hulk
  • Type: Beast
  • Level: 4
  • ATK/DEF: 1500/2500
  • Effect: Once per Turn you can Increase your Life Points by 500 points for each "Hulk" Monster on your side of the field including this card.

 

  • Name: The She-Hulk
  • Type: Beast
  • Level: 4
  • Effect: This card cannot be destroyed by battle. When this card is Summoned you can add 1 "Bruce Banner" from your deck to your hand.

 

  • Name: The Totally Awesome Hulk
  • Type: Beast
  • Level: 8
  • ATK/DEF: 2500/2500
  • Effect: Once Per Turn, You can Discard 1 Card that specifically lists the card "Hulk" in its text from your hand to draw 2 cards from your deck. If this card is removed from the field Special Summon 1 "Bruce Banner" from your Hand, Deck, or GY

 

  • Name: The Grey Hulk
  • Type: Beast
  • Level: 10
  • ATK/DEF: 2500/2500
  • Effect: This card cannot be destroyed by battle. Monsters on your opponents side of the field lose 500 ATK for every "Hulk" Monster with a different name on your side of the field. If this card is removed from the field Special Summon 1 "Bruce Banner" from your Hand, Deck, or GY

 

  • Name: The Savage Hulk
  • Type: Beast
  • Level: 10
  • ATK/DEF: 3000/3000
  • Effect: This card cannot be destroyed by battle. This card gains 500 ATK for every monster destroyed while it remains on the field. If this card is removed from the field Special Summon 1 "Bruce Banner" from your Hand, Deck, or GY.

 

  • Name: The Immortal Hulk
  • Type: Beast
  • Level 10:
  • ATK/DEF: 3000/3000
  • Effect: This card cannot be destroyed by battle. This monster gains 500 ATK for every "Hulk" Monster with a different name in your GY. If this card is removed from the field Special Summon 1 "Bruce Banner" from your Hand, Deck, or GY.

 

  • Name: The Red Hulk
  • Type: Beast
  • Level: 10

  • Effect: This card cannot be destroyed by battle. During each of your Standby Phases: Inflict 300 points of damage to both players.  If this card is removed from the field Special Summon 1 "Bruce Banner" from your Hand, Deck, or GY.

    This card cannot be destroyed by battle. Your opponent cannot target Spells/Traps you control with card effects, also they cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects. If this card is removed from the field Special Summon 1 "Bruce Banner" from your Hand, Deck, or GY

 

  • Name: The Joe Fixit Hulk
  • Type: Beast Warrior
  • Level: 12
  • ATK/DEF: 3000/3000
  • Effect: "Bruce Banner" + "The Grey Hulk"
    This card cannot be destroyed by battle. You may Discard 1 Card to add 1 Spell/Trap card that lists "Hulk" in its Card text from your Deck to your Hand.  If this card is removed from the field Special Summon 1 "Bruce Banner" from your Hand, Deck, or GY

 

  • Name: The Maestro Hulk
  • Type: Beast-Warrior
  • Level: 12
  • ATK/DEF: 3500/3500
  • Effect: "Bruce Banner" + "The Savage Hulk" + "The Grey Hulk"
    This card cannot be destroyed by battle.  Once per turn: You can banish 1 "Hulk" monster from your Graveyard; this card gains 500 ATK, and until the End Phase it also gains the banished monster's effects. If this card is removed from the field Special Summon 1 "Bruce Banner" from your Hand, Deck, or GY

 

 

RITUALS:

 

 

  • Name: The Worldbreaker Hulk
  • Type: Beast Warrior
  • Level: 12
  • ATK/DEF: 3500/3500
  • Effect: You can Ritual Summon this card with "Control". Must be Ritual Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways.
    This card cannot be destroyed by battle. You can pay Half of your Life Points; send as many cards in both players' hands and on the field as possible to the GY, then inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each card sent to the opponent's GY by this effect. You cannot activate other cards or effects during the turn you activate this card's effect.

 

  • Name: The Devil Hulk
  • Type: Beast-Warrior
  • Level: 12
  • ATK/DEF 3500/3500
  • Effect: You can Ritual Summon this card with "Control". Must be Ritual Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways.
    This card cannot be destroyed by battle. When this card is Summoned You must pay 1000 LP . You can Tribute 1 face-up "Hulk" monster; this card gains ATK equal to the Tributed monster's ATK, until the End Phase.

 

 

Spells:

 

  • Name: Control
  • Type: Ritual Spell
  • Effect: This card can be used to Ritual Summon any "Hulk" Ritual Monster. You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field and/or banish "Bruce Banner" or "Hulk" from your GY, whose total Levels  equal the Level of the "Hulk" Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon.

 

  • Name: The Green Door
  • Type: Field Spell
  • Effect: Once per turn you can pay 1500 Life Points to Special Summon 1 "Hulk" monster from your Hand, or GY

 

  • Name: Gamma Field
  • Type: Field Spell
  • Effect: Every "Hulk" Monster You Control gains 500 ATK points for every other "Hulk" Monster on the field.  If a "Hulk" monster(s) you control would be destroyed by card effect, you can banish 2 cards from the top of your Deck, face-down, for each of those monster(s) instead.

 

  • Name: Inner Turmoil
  • Type: Continuous Spell
  • Effect: You can pay 1000 Life Points to Special Summon 1 "Hulk" monster from your hand. If "Bruce Banner" is on the field Tribute it instead. You may only use the effect of "Inner Turmoil" once per turn.

 

  • Name: The Green Team
  • Type: Normal Spell
  • Effect: If you control any "Hulk" Monster Pay 2000 LP and skip your Battle Phase: Special Summon 1 "The She-Hulk" or "The Red She-Hulk" from your hand, Deck, or GY, You can only Activate the effect of "The Green Team" once per turn.

 

  • Name: Gamma Infusion
  • Type: Equip Spell
  • Effect: If you control "Gamma Field", equip to an opponent's monster. Take control of it. It is treated as a "Hulk" monster. It cannot be Destroyed in Battle. If "Gamma Field" is not on the field, destroy this card.

 

  • Name: Rage From Beyond The Grave
  • Type: Equip Spell
  • Effect: Activate this card by paying 2000 LP and discarding 1 "Hulk" card from your Hand to the GY, then target 1 monster in either players GY; Special Summon that target in Attack Position and equip it with this card. This Monster's name becomes "Bruce Banner" and cannot attack.

 

  • Name: Strongest There Is!
  • Type: Equip Spell
  • Effect: Equip this Card to 1 "Hulk" Monster on your side of the field. Gain ATK Points equal to the Level of that monster x 500 When this card leaves the field, destroy that target. When that target is destroyed, destroy this card.

 

  • Name: Hulk Smash!
  • Type: Quickplay Spell
  • Effect: If you control 1 "Hulk" Monster Toss a coin:
    ● Heads: Destroy all cards your opponent controls.
    ● Tails: Destroy all cards you control.

 

 

 

Traps:

 

  • Name: Gamma Absorption
  • Type: Counter Trap
  • Effect:If  a Spell/Trap Card is activated: Tribute 1 "Hulk" Monster negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card.

 

  • Name: Gamma-Heal
  • Type: Normal Trap
  • Effect: Tribute 1 "Hulk" Monster on your side of the  field. Gain Life Points equal to the level of that monster x 300

 

  • Name: Quick To Anger
  • Type: Normal Trap
  • Effect: Tribute 1 Bruce Banner on the field. Special Summon 1 "Hulk" monster from your GY. It is destroyed at the End Phase of this Turn.

 

  • Name: Gamma Study
  • Type Normal Trap
  • Effect: Your Opponent must discard 1 card in their hand for each "Hulk" Monster in your GY

 

 

 

And there you have it. My Archetype that I spent several days making. I would appreciate any feedback on how to make the cards better. Thanks for looking this over and have a great night :).

Sounds good man, it's very appreciated :). Although to be fair with Bruce Banner I have other cards that can get Bruce Banner removed from the field and summon a Hulk out. But still I'd love any kind of tips I can get :)

I have to agree, especially the once per turn clause. The way your effects are worded essentially opens them to abuse by multiple uses per turn. Destroy by battle is a bit slow and has an awkward timing as well, easy to miss. Hitting the GY is a much easier and quite honestly faster resolve for an effect to pull off.

gamma study....in a vacuum it works completely but splash in certain mill cards already in the game and that becomes a bit too easy to lock an opponents hand. "card destruction" is currently banned and that eliminated both players hand. this card has no true risk to you. Grave returns are pretty simple to perform nowadays. As a normal speed it can't chain so that makes it quite a bit harder to pull off. Hmmm that might actually balance with the gain now that i think of it. Leave it. Your engine looks a LOT more balanced and realistic to use. Very nice job.

Name: The Green Door

Type: Field Spell

Effect: Pay 1500 Life Points: Special Summon 1 "Hulk" monster from your Hand, or GY. You can only activate 1 "The Green Door" per turn. 

 

 

Name: Gamma Field

Type: Field Spell

Effect: Every "Hulk" Monster You Control gains 500 ATK points for every other "Hulk" Monster on the field.  If this card you control would would be removed from the field, you can banish the top 2 cards from your Deck face-down instead. 

 

 

Name: Inner Turmoil

Type: Continuous Spell

Effect: You can pay 1000 Life Points to Special Summon 1 "Hulk" monster from your hand. You must control a face up "Bruce Banner" to activate and resolve this effect. You can only use the effect of "Inner Turmoil" once per turn.

 

 

Name: The Green Team

Type: Normal Spell

Effect: If you control a "Hulk" Monster:  Special Summon 1 "The She-Hulk" or "The Red She-Hulk" from your hand, Deck, or GY. Any battle damage your opponent takes from attacks involving this this turn is halved. You can only Activate the effect of "The Green Team" once per turn.

 

 

Name: Gamma Infusion

Type: Equip Spell

Effect:

 

Activate this card by targeting 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; take control of it. It is treated as a "Hulk" monster. If "Gamma Field" is not on the field, destroy this card. You can only activate one "Gamma Infusion" per turn. 

 

 

Name: Rage From Beyond The Grave

Type: Equip Spell

Effect:

 

Pay 2000 LP and discard 1 "Hulk" card: target 1 monster in either players GY; Special Summon that target in Attack Position and equip it with this card. That monster's name becomes "Bruce Banner" and cannot attack.

 

 

Name: Hulk, the strongest There Is!

Type: Equip Spell

Effect: Equip this Card to 1 "Hulk" Monster on your side of the field. Gain ATK Points equal to the Level of that monster x 500 When this card leaves the field, destroy that target. When that target is destroyed, destroy this card.

 

 

Name: Hulk Smash!
